I went to this place for a birthmark removal. The birthmark is outside an intimate area, but very close. I told Vida this in the beginning of the consultation and she seemed really uncomfortable (which in turn made me uncomfortable). Right then is when she should have just referred me else where. But she reluctantly proceeded with the exam anyway. After she examined me, she told me what I knew she was going to say. That she would refer me elsewhere. Then afterwards she proceeded to massively spray down the room with Lysol as if she was offended that she even had to examine me there. It wasn't about my hygiene, because I take great care of myself. She was just seemingly offended by where the area was located. To my defense, I thought they were more than just estheticians and laser technicians (which anyone can get a certificate for), I thought were going to talk to professionals and expertise. After all, the name says "Southern Plastic Surgery & Cosmetic Laser Center", so I thought they could do more. . not esthetician and laser techs! However, whether she was offended by where she had to examine or not, I'm still a human being. I shouldn't be made to feel like this. I took time out of my schedule and traveled over an hour to be insulted by a tech. So if she was offended, I was much more offended. Great experience! Very informative & wonderful customer service! I saw Nicole for a wart removal which she examined & ended up doing a laser treatment to get rid of the root. I've had a horrible experience at another dermatologist office that left me paying $500 & so many complications just for them not to get rid of the wart completely. Nicole understood my situation & guided me through the process & explained the importance to her to grab the entire root in order for it to no longer come back. She did exactly that! I've healed for more than a month & I went back recently for her to examine me & because of my past experience I did acquire a bit of scar tissue which left a small bump where the wart previously was & she injected me with a steroid to even out skin & to better deal with that scar tissue so it'll go back to normal! I have been going to Laser Lights since February for laser hair removal and am loving my results! Vida is experienced, professional, and informative. She is also so warm and truly makes you feel comfortable with your experience. At my first visit we also discussed treating my melasma--an incredibly difficult-to-treat skin discoloration usually due to hormones. She explained different ways it can be treated, but just how persistent and frustrating it can be even with treatment. With all this in mind, I chose to do the treatment she recommended and loved my results! Some of the hyperpigmentation has come back, because hormones and the sun exist--even with my use of hats and sunscreen, but that's just the nature of melasma. The treatment we did worked wonderfully! I plan on doing further work with her in the fall when the sun has lessened some of it's summer intensity and it will be easier to get a handle on things. I have been a client of Laser Lights for almost 3 years now, after receiving laser treatment on my face and armpits. The treatment didn't seem to work after the initial 5 treatments so I was told to come back for monthly touch-ups, which I did for a couple of years. All these touch-ups did were scar my face. The technicians do not know how to use laser hair removal systems. I went to see a technician at an amazing electrolysis center by Emory, and after looking over my face, she confirmed that all they had done was scar my face and cause more hair to grow. Furthermore, Patti is incredibly condescending and rude. Initially, I met with her a couple of times for laser removal because nobody else was available. She missed several spots of hair in various areas, yet when going back to fix them she maintained she had "never missed a hair in her life". Actually she missed about 20 that last time. During my most recent visit with her, she proceeded to use a laser which had not previously worked on me, which I told her. At which point she snapped at me and told me "I'm the boss" and that she would do "whatever I ask even though she's the professional", basically talking down and making me feel super uncomfortable. When I had been going for years and already knew what worked and what didn't work (when ultimately neither ended up working). Needless to say that visit was my last time going to Laser Lights. Terrible attitude from Patti and absolutely no results from my treatments after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars have left me with a very bitter attitude towards this place. read more

You have to visit a business a few times, before you can comment on service. I personally love the Viora (skin tightening) treatment. I had a procedure done back in 2008 and failed to keep up with the recommended maintenance suggested by Dr. Whiteman. So, I decided to go back to the venue I was familiar with. Although the ambience has changed, my favorite technician is still with the company. THE BEST, Oreta is A+. She really cares and listens to her patients. I've been back for a few weeks now for the package service on my abs. My friends and family have noticed the difference. Feels good to see I am getting my moneys worth. I still have four more treatments to go. Little did I know it would give me the motivation I needed to make better, healthy choices. I have completed 6 treatments of laser hair removal for my legs, underarms, and bikini line. I have dark skin and hair. I finally decided to get rid of the hair once and for all. I had heard good things about Laser Lights from my sister who also went there, so I chose to make the hour drive there instead of going to other laser places that were closer. It was definitely worth it. Dr. Joann and Stephanie were the first ones to see me and though I was a little nervous about the pain, they were both very kind and made me feel at ease. My last four treatments were with Melissa, and she always takes great care in making sure she zapped every last hair! I went in and specifically asked to speak with a doctor... (Mind you-I called prior and asked if they dealt specifically with my condition). Its a numbers game.. If you get in ten(10) ducks during the hook,line,sinker aka (Free Consultation)...surly one/two will fall for the sales pitch. I made my first appointment here and was very timid of laser hair removal, so I figured I would give it a try and I absolutely am so glad I did. The front desk Dijiana is so sweet and understanding. She answers all of your questions and reassures you. I won't lie the laser hurts a little bit, but after coming in regularly to focus on different areas at each appointment, I guess you can say that your body becomes immune to the laser or I am just used too it. I am so glad I came here and started my laser treatment. I don't recall the ladies who did my services names, but she was so kind, slow and gentle with my treatment. I am a regular up in this office, and there is nothing like not ever having to be concerned about shaving your underarms. I love being able to throw on a tank top/sleeveless and going about my day. Client description: Middle-aged, medium to dark brown skin, thick black hair . Hairline extended all the way down the back of neck so a ponytail never looked very attractive. Side burns extended all the way down cheeks. Thick black hair on legs - shaving caused in-grown and irritated hair follicles. Story: One day walked into Laser Lights and met Patricia Daniel, the owner and founder - back then she was consulting and well as doing some of the actual treatments. Bought a 6 treatment package. Had sideburns, the back of the neck and legs treated. Result: 6 years later - HANDS DOWN THE BEST MONEY EVER SPENT on a personal item. Forget jewelry, this is something worn every single day. The treatments worked - sideburns have remained completely GONE. There is some very light hair on the back of neck but it looks natural/nice. Legs are completely hair free except for a stray few here and there and a stubborn small patch the size of a quarter on top of each knee. It is thrilling to be able to put ones hair up and to NEVER have to shave ones legs. So freeing. Recommend good quality Laser Hair Removal to all women - don't wait until you are 40+. Best age is possibly 20+, once you've stopped going through puberty. PS - Upper lip, chin and cheeks chin were also done but results not as great as on the rest. Completely new hair follicles seem to keep appearing there as middle age progresses - would need to do more treatments. This place is horrible, I went there to see if they could remove my birthmark on my leg and they said yes. I was assured that they had the correct laser for darker skin and that they could remove my birthmark. That is the complete opposite of what happened and they caused me to have hypo pigmentation of my skin along with my birthmark still being there so it looks even worse now. I was told that my color would come back after at least a year which it did not. Please save yourself and do not go here. I was overcharged for laser treatments that ruined my skin. read more

I get my tattoo removal done here. Every time I come in, even if I'm twenty minutes early, the staff is sure to go ahead and get me into a room and are very accommodating. They double check with me about numbing options and make sure I'm comfortable. So far, Patty has done all of my treatments. She's amazing. My first session, we decided to do 4 treatments at once, with small breaks in between. She injected a numbing solution and is good about checking in with you about how you're feeling and how much she has done. She works quickly, so the pain is very manageable. If you choose to be numbed, you really don't feel much at all. I have an old black ink tattoo, that's really more of a blue now, with a cover up on top. I'd say, 90% of the cover up is gone, the original has been stubborn. I'm a skin care therapist, so I was already familiar with how lasers work and what to expect. So far, I've been pleased with the results, and the price is very reasonable. read more

Let me first say I've had a similar laser procedure done at a different place just decided to choose a spot closer to home, I have something to compare it to. The front desk staff was nice and helpful as was the consulting 'sales' advisor, The price was comparable - but Laser Lights charges you for the numbing cream (50$), and attempts to upsell you other facial wash, lotions, and sunscreens for aftercare (another $100 or so?) The other place didn't and my skin healed perfectly fine by using Aquafor only. I appreciate the suggestions, but didn't' appreciate the fact that the (Patti) Technician never asked me what I used at home ( I use all organic and natural oils / cleansers and have titanium dioxide sunscreen at home.) I also didn't appreciate the threat of rashes etc. the technician presented to me as a result of not using the recommended products and COLD shoulder I got when I refused all but one lotion. Clearly she is goaled on her sales of these skin care products not the quality of the laser work ? (makes you wonder) and I ruined her day. I felt like she couldn't get me out of there fast enough because she wasn't successful in the Make up counter up sell. no I didn't want fries with my laser treatment. The actually treatment seemed fine she was careful and thoughtful during the procedure however her exit -aftercare bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. read more

This place used to be really great. I have been coming to laser lights for a few years now for laser hair removal. It started of really great. But since Wendy and Oceania left, the customer service experience is awful. Patty the owner is never to be found is never available. The new hires have awful bedside manner. You are just an appointment to them and they can't wait to get rid of you. Laser lights used to have great specials on their services but recently, the specials are not as great as their competitors. Most competitors offer 6 or more hair removal packages but laser lights only offers 5. They don't offer any type of packages for customers who have been loyal to them. Every single appointment, I ask and most of the aestheticians don't give a crap if you are interested or not. I was going to get more packages as well as sign up for microdermabrasion but during some of my last appointments I am very disappointed with the customer service. Patty, wake up before you start losing your customers. I used to refer my friends to laser lights..will not do so anymore. My advice is do your home work and research before you sign up. Do not go by the positive testimonials on their website or Kudzu. read more
