These people have a history of playing games stuff like treating people differently based on who they are and selling basically trash (stems and trash trimmings). It's why i only ever got vape pens and live resin from them. The females are cool but the males they're those type that touch their crotch to see if you look so they can see if you're in their little club. My first response was to see if anyone else could help me and just like the club members these lesser men are they said only the guy helping me could help me. Dude tried to "talk" it out I explained that I just wanted to spend my money and leave. I further explained that I was hoping he'd be professional seeing as neither of us was happy. He said he wanted to talk about feelings or whatever and i left. On my way as I was leaving dude shouts "lifetime ban" like it means something when I'm already walking out. I'm used to dealers. You know professionals. I was not happy but I was still willing to do business and leave I did not escalate I knew what I was dealing with beforehand. Dude did not genuinely want to talk he was trying to escalate and they got all pee pee hearted when I left without giving them ammunition. Walked inside at 9:50pm & they took 5 minutes with a gentleman telling him he needed his ID, then let him in anyway . So 5 minutes of my time wasted to allow someone who shouldn't even have been allowed in, inside- which caused a bad experience for someone like myself who came in with my ID. The security never told me the entire system will close out at 10pm sharp. I walk in, wait in line & let them know I'd like 7G's for $35. After i take out my phone to pay Apple Pay, the front desk guy tells me i need my physical card . So i run to get my card in my card & they said it depends on if the security lets me back in. Then when i run to ask the security guard, he tells me the door will close on me at 10pm. It was 9:58pm . He suggests to use the ATM. As i use the ATM, it's giving me issues & it hits 10pm & they yell over to me it's too late. So i ask them even when im inside already? That makes no sense. Why would you let someone inside with 5 minutes & they can be in line at 9:59 & the system wouldn't let them purchase anything at 10pm ? Allowing that gentleman in after making me wait 5 minutes when he shouldn't have been allowed in, caused me to not have enough time to go back inside & get my ID. Now you lost a good customer & gained one for one night for a customer who will probably never be back cus they don't even have an ID . Completely stupid system & employees who clearly can't use communication to help their customers within the last 5-10 minutes of closing. Why even accept customers after 9:50 & NOT tell them the system will NOT allow them to purchase ANYTHING after 9:55 so there is no confusion? I have been a Smartweed customer for about a year. I almost exclusively have my orders delivered, but I have been to the shop a few times when I was out and about. I am in my forties and not at all well versed in things marijuana. Where I come from, you get a couple of varieties of weed in baggies. Maybe a joint tucked in your pocket by a well meaning friend. So, all the different strains and concentrates and edibles and pre-rolls, were totally overwhelming. I mean really...budder, batter, sugar, crumble, shatter. I just want to get high and go to sleep without waking up with panic attacks or get stoned and clean my house. I didn't know the first thing about dosage or concentrate or funky flower. Wtf is a middle aged lady to do?!? The staff at Smartweed is always so helpful when it comes to figuring out what you like and what the right dosage is for you. Even if you're just texting, they are always patient and give you lots of great recommendations (if asked). The first time I tried sublingual oil (from a different source), I overdosed myself to the point I was high for over 36 hours. I couldn't drive to work. It was bad. Smartweed staff makes much better recommendations! And unlike some places, even if you're getting delivery, they make sure you get all applicable discounts. They regularly save me 20% or throw in a free sample or two. It's great service. (In Louisiana, those little surprise extras are called lagniappe.) On the delivery side, I appreciate the service. They don't make you wait hours and hours or even days to receive your order. It usually only takes an hour or two before I get the call or text from the delivery driver. I can't speak highly enough about their drivers. I get everything delivered. Especially since the pandemic. And once every week or so, I get an order from Smartweed. All of their drivers are super friendly and kind. And so accommodating. At first, I didn't understand why I couldn't get delivery to my front door, but after thinking about it, it makes sense that they can't leave their other orders in the car while delivering yours. It's not like delivering food...a little more dangerous. There is a big homeless presence in front of my building and I always ask the driver to pull around to the side so it is a little safer and more private for me. They always comply without a problem. The transaction at the car is fast and professional. They are always masked and gloved. (Don't forget to have the driver add a tip to your total if you're not paying with cash!) The last thing I'll mention about their delivery drivers is that they always wait until I get back inside my security gate before pulling away. Now, I can't be certain if that's because it takes them a minute to do their paperwork and get ready for their next delivery or if they're really watching for safety. But I like to think it may be a bit of both. It does make me feel more secure when ordering hundreds of dollars of weed, intentional or not. Anyway, it's a cool place. And they never make middle aged ladies feel out of their depth. I don't write many reviews, but this place has kept me sane over the last year. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Smartweed was above par until like a few months ago. They stopped carrying an assortment of different cartridges. I complained and they would say it's coming. Then they would direct me to different cartridges such as raw garden which is twice the price I usually pay for big chief or sluggers just to name a few. Ok so biggest lie I was told was "big chief started charging too much since the you tube videos came out , that's why we don't carry anymore....smallest lie I was told "we'll have big chief in a week " 3 days apart. This was like 2 months ago. So I went back this past Tuesday looking for sluggers (which is hit and miss) which they didn't have per usual. The redirected me to something "that was like sluggers" well I bought because It was late. Card machine is never working... can't use Apple Pay, website is never working for you to use for Apple Pay. No ATM in or near the building. Had to make a trip to another store to pull out cash.. very inconvenient it's 2023, you should be able to accept Apple Pay or have an ATM. I've read a few reviews that says they charge an extra 6.50$ if you use a card ($3.50 for an atm fee, $3.00 for we don't know) But if you do Apple Pay you don't get the extra charge... so maybe this is why idk just frustrating.
