Definitely disappointing. App was slow, so tried to order in the restaurant... not fast as the poor staffer had to do a bunch of shakes, so the orders at the front piled up. Stopped here for dinner, and it was a 20min wait - I said ok, no problem, good food I can wait for. Ordered, and they didn't mention a few things had changed, including some of the recipes. The truffle mushroom swiss burger... when you ask for the truffle mayo on the side, they said... there's no truffle in the mayo. Huh? Very bland without the mayo, so where's the truffle? Double burger version was overcooked. The smashchicken they used to have? Gone - in it's place is a terrible ground chicken burger. Not great. Smashfries were solid, so that's the good. Four months ago, I went by this place for a quick bite. I got the truffle mushroom swiss burger with a side of tater tots. Went in today and another customer was complaining about the service and the woman working there was not apologetic at all, just crude. Left a very expensive coat at the restaurant on accident (stupid on my part). Called to see if they had it, one of the managers said she remembers and employee mentioning someone left a coat there and to call back. When I called back they said they misremembered. I then called to see if the manager could check the security footage to see if I had it in as this would help me narrow down my search. Was told the district manager was the only one with access to it. District manager then said he had to be at the store to view it? So why couldn't the manager view it from the store? Anyway, district manager said he wouldn't be able to get to it for another 3-4 days. He then told me he couldn't see where I was sitting in the video despite me giving an exact timestamp of when I was there. I then asked if he could see if I had it in when I came in and got no response. I filed a police report (district manager encouraged me to). When the police called, he then told the officer the cameras weren't working at all that day? Very sketchy. Won't be going back read more

Ordered new Carolina Burnt end Burger off app for pickup as only available that way. Picked up quickly at counter and ate In restaurant. The pickup was very good and the service was great. The add-ones for the burgers are a little pricey but honestly I think that Smashburger is the best of the chains of this type. It took 50 minutes to get place setting for everyone. The empty salad dish was left on the table when the entrees (brought out for one guest then rest of the entrees came out 10 min later. The staff themselves are very nice but their general manager Brian Scandiffio is awful and rude. We ordered a burger with a gluten free bun and were charged an extra $2 for it. The staff let us know they were out after they rang us up and we can't eat a regular bun due to dietary restrictions. We asked for a refund since we cant eat it and they said there's a no refund policy. The staff were nice and explained it and offered for us to speak with the GM when we didn't understand why. We explained the predicament and he said there's nothing he can do about it and there's a no refund policy by his higher ups, but he refused to let us talk to whoever this is. So you sold us a burger and charged extra then couldn't give us what we ordered, refused to fix it, were rude the whole time, and kept the money. The conversation kept going in circles and he didn't help at all. What if you accidentally charged me for someone else's order? Can you not refund that? The wild part is that through the whole ordeal, Brian never once apologized or tried to empathize. He was in a bad mood from the start and didn't want to talk to deal with me or the situation from his restaurant. Used to be my favorite burger joint. That is until I placed an order through their app one day and they forgot my soda, of which I ordered 3 and they forget then all, but that's not all. I called to tell them about it, they have me the manager who said, I'll put a note on your account that next time you come in you can get your sodas. With the current pandemic, next time I go into the store could be a year... And 2 other stores I had this issue with made up in the following ways, one refunded new what they had missed from my order and the other sent someone it immediately to bring me the missing items. Here I get a promise that needs time I go in, I'll get my sodas.. That is sooo helpful. Literally 2 days later I order from them again. I order 3 sodas again and I put special instructions on one saying, please don't forget sodas again. Hoping this would make them notice the note and not forget and it was 2 days after this had happened so you think they would have been now careful preparing the order.i even try and call the store before my order is picked up and I get an automated message saying that they are too busy attending to the customers in store to answer the phone and I can go to the website for any questions or try again later. Not sure how they were busy attending to customers inside as this store location is very small and with the current covid-19 guidelines they would have at most 5 parties inside during rush hour.. Which this was not. It was around 8 pm. My order arrives and they have forgotten the sodas yet again. I try following up with a call only to get the automated message again. I gave feedback on the app saying that this is unacceptable 2 times in a row and so close together. I get a response where in ordered two entrees next time I'm in store. Something that may not happen for a year. A week goes by and no reply to my answer saying that this is not helpful as I probably won't be going in store for a year. We often go to the Westwood Target. It is not far from the Dedham Chick Fil A so it gives us a good excuse to eat there. But for some reason , my son wanted to come here today. He doesn't even eat burgers but he still dictates our lives. My husband got the mushroom truffle and Swiss burger. He liked it because 1) it wasn't as massive as other burgers and 2) it wasn't very greasy. I had a few bites of it myself. Thought it was perfectly juicy ...a bit salty but very good. I was not that hungry and would not have been able to eat a burger on my own so I am glad my husband shared. I got the smash tots. Tots tossed with rosemary and olive oil. Great for a snack! Wish there was a dipping sauce. It filled my partial belly up (don't have an entire stomach). I want to try the smash FRIES next time. Or a kid sized smash burger. The way the place works: you stand in line to order and then you find a table. They give you an order bucket that you carry to your table and your food is brought to you by one of their delightful servers. Ours today was Danielle. She was great. It's not one of those full service restaurants so you don't have people checking on you. If you need something, ask for it. It is kid friendly. They have a unisex bathroom with a normal toilet. Not one with an automatic flusher. Those things terrify my son. He is newly potty trained so if he encounters that he does jump off screaming and pees on the floor. So this was very welcoming to us. My son even asked to go BACK to the bathroom to go potty a second time. If he lies the bathroom , it's definitely a restaurant we will always return to. :-P Definitely give this place a go if you are out shopping in the area. Panera is boring. Ok I'm semi-addicted to their black bean burger with sautéed mushrooms and avocado. I've even converted my meat eating niece into a black bean burger lover. I'm trying to work on how to order using the app as it's very stressful ordering at the counter. Lots of people in line and you really can't figure out what to order until you get up to the counter and see the menu. I wish they would do what other establishments do by having a person taking your order while waiting in line. It would certainly make the line go quicker. The server is very rude. He kept asking me for my name. i repeatedly told him i am Deaf and i can not hear staff calling my name. he still demanded for my name. So, i gave him my name.
