    Family reunion
    Andrea R.

This was a family reunion and it was so much fun m, the staff was great and accomplished everything we needed in a short time. We ordered a variety of meals and everything was absolutely delicious, from the eggs, pancakes, French toast to the healthy breakfast bowls. The location is a bit tight in size but the menu and service makes up for it in so many ways. I was impressed how clean it was and for a busy place you could still talk and have a conversation. I would suggest you call ahead or go online thru Yelp to put your name in. We live out of state but when we come back we will definitely return, I can't wait to try something different because all of it is made fresh to order and you can definitely taste the difference, Peace Out till next time!!

We were on the wait list for Mother's Day brunch with family. The timing stated on Google was perfect, we got the table as soon as we reached here and were seated promptly. The decor is welcoming, the servers were friendly and attentive. We ordered a Farmer's Market omelette, an avocado, asparagus omelette with a side of sausage, eggs Benedict sandwich, JFK sandwich. Our food tasted great. No complaints,

Have enjoyed everything we have ordered here, over at least five visits, whether just two of us or larger parties which often are tough to get seated. If you are in the area, do try it.

Continuing to get in my east coast breakfast fix and the Toast Office doesn't disappoint. First off, amazing name. The food was awesome and the service was amazing. My boyfriend and I had a big meal since we were flying out that day. I had the First Class, which you can see from the picture that we didn't wait to dig in. I highly recommend anything with the pancakes - fluffy with a perfect golden brown outside.

Best Breakfast for 15 mile radius. When in the area I eat…read more only here for breakfast. Owned and run by the same couple for at least 20 years, this place is consistently the very best in the area . Today was no different , scrambled eggs with jack cheese and a little hot sauce, delicious sausage links, fabulous home fries and coffee. My breakfast partner got a meat lovers omelette in a roll up. I posted a few pics of the meals today . Note bread is served with the meals we ordered , but neither of us has room for the bread so we tell them to not put it in the plate . why waste it. Service is fabulous , she ( co-owner) recognizes us whenever we (or I alone) eat there, even though have not been here in a few months . In Fact , today, after I gave my order she reminded me that I usually have jack cheese melted in to my scrambled eggs , and did I want it today. Well that is amazing service seeing as it's been a few months since came here last time. ( we live several towns away , and eat here if some shopping or business escapade brings us to Norwood.) Food was on the table within 5 minutes of placing the order.. For ambiance , well , this is a real diner car restaurant. Stainless steel exterior and all.. there are not many of these remaining in the country. I think about 10 booths and 10 counter seats. The place seems like a potential Norman Rockwell painting . Alas, Norman is no longer available for this task. I believe it is a historic site building so the , down 2 steps to the bathroom , is allowed but keep in mind if you are not capable of making the trip down the stars. Honestly the only negative I can come up with is in the winter time don't sit near the door. There is no entrance vestibule so the cold can be noticed when the door opens and closes. I suspect that modifying the building may not be allowed to put one in anyway . Bottom line is don't hesitate , this is the best there is . For the next closest breakfast lunch restaurant that is of this quality you have to travel to the Wrentham - Franklin line on route 140 . I don't think we are allowed to mention other locations . But seriously , I have eaten at nearly every breakfast place there is and those 2 places are the only places to eat breakfast within a 15 mile radius.

It's right across the street from a war museum. But careful, you'll miss it if you blink. My husband and I both had the eggs and bacon with home fries-he had hash browns. My home fries were huge chunky seasoned potatoes, his were fried on the outside as expected of hash browns, mushy on the inside. Not so appetizing. The menu is very simple. While our initial waitress didn't give us the time of day, the young lady who brought our plates was a delight. She never missed a refill of water or coffee. The prices were about where you'd expect nothing outrageous. $38.00 for the two with coffee.

My late…read moreSunday morning visit had stress potential due to a line, but they banged it out effortlessly and I was seated in no time. Typical nostalgic decor with entertainers of the 1950s, keeping with the diner's name. -- Patty Melt: This is the reason I came, as I'm searching for great ones, and theirs is right up there. American cheese (a little outside the standard Swiss), choice of bread (I went marble rye), and optional add-ons (I chose grilled onions, which you'd think would be standard). Excellent execution. Griddled bread with just enough butter, just enough crunch, and no sogginess. Beef soft, with a loose grind, cooked to a juicy medium rare, and with nice beef flavor (too many diner versions use stiff, el cheapo patties; this was quality sourcing a couple steps up). And melty cheese and soft onions complementing while letting the beef sing loudest. No one ingredient was artisanal-level premium, but every aspect was handled beautifully. -- Fries (included with the Patty Melt): Alas, the dreaded "coated" kind, an obvious frozen product. Hot, crisp, and plentiful, so it could've been worse. No biggie; the patty melt was good enough for this not to matter. I can't emphasize enough how well-run the place is. The friendly veteran servers move like clockwork and could easily drop a "honey" on you with every interaction, but that would merely add a delay. Instead, they show their dedication with sincere smiles, initiative, and time-learned precision. It's a joy to behold. Normally I'd hold off on a 5 based on such a small sample size, but the food and shakes I saw going out all looked good, and that service excellence cliched it.
