I went here based on a recommendation and deeply regret it. First off, I had called and asked if…read morethey take my insurance. They claimed they did so I made an appt. When I was there the office staff was very nice but I again asked if they took my insurance and was assured they did. During the visit they claimed I needed a deep cleaning and it wouldn't be covered. I specifically told them I wouldn't want anything not covered. They said since I needed a deep cleaning they wouldn't even do a standard cleaning unless I opted for the deep cleaning which they said would have been an extra $800!! So I wasted my time to go here but wait, it gets better! They then sent me a $400 bill for the X-rays they told me were covered!! Are you kidding me?? I would NEVER recommend this place based off these shady billing practices!! I am definitely going to challenge that bill since under nj law they have to tell you if they don't take your insurance!

I had several concerns about our experience with this practice, but I will focus on the issues that…read morewere most significant. Dr. Woke is pleasant, but throughout our interactions she made us feel rushed. I also found her explanations to be brief and incomplete, and I felt that concerns about my son's pain and recovery were often dismissed rather than fully addressed. My son had all four wisdom teeth removed. He was discharged with an anti-inflammatory medication but was not prescribed an antibiotic or a stronger pain medication. Approximately two hours after arriving home, he fainted while sitting at the dining room table, fell, and struck his head. His vital signs were low enough that an ambulance transported him to the emergency room for evaluation. Two days later, because his pain remained severe, I contacted the office to ask whether anything stronger could be prescribed. At that point, Dr. Woke prescribed Tylenol with codeine to help manage his pain. Two days after that, over the weekend, one side of my son's face became increasingly swollen and his pain escalated significantly. Dr. Woke examined him the following day and diagnosed a secondary infection at one of the extraction sites. The area had to be reopened and thoroughly irrigated. During the procedure, pus drained from the site as the local anesthetic was administered, confirming the severity of the infection. When I entered the room after the procedure, it was obvious how much pain my son was experiencing. I was disappointed by what I perceived as a lack of empathy regarding his condition. The initial plan appeared to be to send him home with antibiotics, and it was only after I specifically requested additional pain relief that Percocet was prescribed. I also asked when my son could safely return to work. Although Dr. Woke initially stated he could return immediately, she also advised that he should not lift more than 20 pounds for two days. My son works as a full-time automotive mechanic, making those restrictions incompatible with the physical demands of his job. I ultimately requested a work excuse extending his leave by three days, and that note was provided. Because my son missed six business days of work, he applied for short-term disability benefits and FMLA job protection. When the insurance paperwork was sent to the office, the office manager refused to complete it, stating that my son would not qualify because he was "not disabled." When I asked for clarification, I was told that because he could walk and talk, he was capable of working and it was up to his employer to provide accommodations. This was difficult to understand given that he had a documented postoperative infection, was experiencing severe pain, was taking prescribed narcotic medication that prevented him from driving, and was physically unable to perform the duties of his job as a mechanic. It was frustrating that the office declined to complete the paperwork based on its own assessment of his eligibility rather than allowing the insurance company to make that determination. Our experience left us feeling that communication, compassion, and patient advocacy were lacking. I understand that complications can occur after surgery and I do not fault the practice for the infection itself. However, I do expect clear communication, appropriate attention to pain management, empathy during recovery, and cooperation with necessary medical documentation. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met, and based on our experience, I cannot recommend this practice.

On the day of the procedure, everything went as expected, she did her job vey calmly and I, was glad when it was over. I only have two complaints: 1. I am still short after the procedure and 2. My hair continues to thin. Seriously, Dr. Blitz is excellent. Donald K.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Nejat and everyone at Advanced Periodontics!…read more From the moment I walked through the door, I was treated with professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. The entire staff is warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, making what could be a stressful dental experience feel comfortable and reassuring. I have ankylosing spondylitis and between the complications of A.S. and the multitude of medications I've been taking for many years now, I had major dental problems. They required surgical extractions and intervention. It was a tremendous amount of work and made what could've been a miserable experience into a very pleasant one. My experience with the surgical intervention, followed by complete implant work, has convinced the rest of my family to begin seeing Dr. Nejat as well. The doctors at Advanced Periodontics are truly experts in this fairly new field.  When I first visited the office, I was literally terrified of having any sort of dental work done.  I mentioned this during my first consultation and they took the time to thoroughly explain every step of my treatment, answer all of my questions, and ensure I felt confident and informed throughout the entire process. Their attention to detail and commitment to patient care are second to none.  Coming from me, a real chicken.... that honestly means a lot.  The office is spotless, modern, and equipped with the latest technology, which gave me even greater confidence that I was receiving top-quality care.  My procedure went smoothly, and the results exceeded my expectations. I grew up watching my grandparents and parents deal with the agony of using, cleaning and maintaining traditional type dentures. They could not eat everything they desired, were constantly dealing with hardware problems and the messy cream and paste type adhesives required to keep them in place. Their physical appearance and speech were negatively affected, and it was obvious to just about everyone they were "false teeth". With all of this knowledge, I great fears of ending up with traditional dentures.  After everything was ,I walked away with implants & bridges that feel great and, more importantly, look fantastic!   Their appearance is far better than my original teeth and are far more functional. My biggest regret...?? I wish Dr. Nejat, Advanced Periodontics and implant technology were available to my grandparents and parents. It's truly life-changing. The follow-up care was equally impressive, with the office team checking in to make sure I was healing properly and feeling comfortable. What truly sets Dr. Rich Nejat and the entire staff at Advanced Periodontics apart is how much they genuinely care about their patients. It is quite rare to find a practice that combines such exceptional clinical expertise with such a personal, compassionate approach. If you're looking for the best periodontal care in New Jersey, look no further.   I rarely compliment, let alone refer anyone to any medical professional.  That said, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Nejat and Advanced Periodontics to anyone seeking outstanding treatment and an exceptional patient experience. Five stars truly aren't enough!!
