I spent almost two years researching information for dental implants. Finally I came across Smile Dental Clinics. They were reputable, professional and affordable so I gave them a call. It was the first place that honestly provided the price range. Every other place wanted me to come in but Karen was upfront and there were no surprises when I did go in. Not only did they assist me with finding a loan but they assisted with all the paperwork for the loan. Erica Marquez is a true gem and Dr. Harsini was so gentle with my mouth as well as the procedure. The anesthesiologist contacted me before the surgery to answer any questions and went over the procedure. Even the young man that took my x-rays was so pleasant and fun. My experience with this dentist has left me having to pay twice for dental work that should have been done right the first time

I contacted them to get just a basic price on upper and lower full arches, they will NOT give you any kind of price or idea up front! Beware.!! They just kept pressing for me to come in like a car salesman. I have called, text and emailed other offices they have no problem giving basic price up front. Just save your time and look for a better place. We Scheduled our appointment 2 days prior for an emergency appt. They got our insurance over the phone. Day of the appointment we filled out electronic forms (general forms, submitted insurance card again). We get a call that appt will be cancelled if we don't pay a $50 "reservation fee".. we do so to not lose the appt. We come in just to be sitting in the office for over an hour and front desk tells us they cannot verify the insurance. I pick up my phone and contact our insurance and everything checks out. Meanwhile they still cannot. Apart from being unable to do a simple task they are rude. Asked for a manager and she is out sick with apparently no-one covering her. Opted for this place due to location (closer than our regular dentist) but shouldn't have. Asked for a refund if no treatment will be given, said it will take 7days to process.. seriously? They take payments for procedures up front and then don't bother to get you scheduled for them. I'm currently waiting for an update on how much credit I have left with them due to them trying to charge me again during my last visit. They ended up sending me home with "we will have to audit your account" and now it is almost 2 weeks later and I'M REACHING OUT TO THEM to find out more information. I am so appreciative of Smile Dental Clinics and Dr. Harsini. I was starting to have a lot of problems with my teeth. Dr. Harsini did a thorough assessment and gave me several options for a plan to move forward. I liked that he told me and showed me what was going on, what could and couldn't be done. The person that I spoke to about the cost was very helpful in knowing what options they offer for payment. I've been back for other issues since then and the whole process has allowed me to be comfortable and feel better about myself and how the world sees my smile. I have the worst teeth on the planet: like a homeless man's teeth, real bad. I have chronic conditions plus osteoporosis and my teeth suffered a lot. The good doctor removed three teeth, the cavities were bigger than the actual tooth. One bad abscessed tooth- my appt was 2pm, I was on my way home at 2:23! I told the doctor to PLEASE donate his services to the once-yearly free dental work that's done in Phoenix at the Fairgrounds I believe- what he can do with old, broken teeth is amazing. This review was edited from 3 stars because I grumbled about the pricing. My husband just shrugged- so I had no right to bicker over charges and pricing as it wasn't my money after all. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Harsini and his dental practice/staff. I had to have a crown, on a front tooth, and was very nervous because of how, sometimes, it's obvious that it's not your own tooth. I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. One word. Professionals. I did a root canal last year along with fixing couple of cavities were unforeseen, I felt my mouth was a workshop but it didn't hurt, dr Harsini is a pro! On task quick and doesn't cut corners. Then I did veneers and now I have a more confident smile! The staff is all smiley and super friendly. They are on time with appointments. They follow up with appointments reminders and offer fairly flexible scheduling as they have a team of experts in the building. My teeth are in great shape and I love my smile. This place charged me almost $300 just to have a tooth pulled with insurance (in network) (recommended from my insurance company) Now I know I went in and needed some work done and starting with having 2 teeth removed that were cracked. They didnt make me feel good at all. They said I had bad insurance, made me feel really bad about my teeth. They pulled 1 tooth and charged me alot for it to not take care of the other tooth that was bothering me and tried to get me to go to another place for a route canal and then come back so they can finish the work to the same tooth and charge me more for that. On top of that I had stitches for when they pulled my wisdom tooth out, by the 2nd day the stitches were hanging down and ended up falling out instead of holding anything together or dissolving like they said they would. They were more on how much money they can take from me rather than helping me or helping me feel better about fixing my teeth being that ive always had a fear of the dentist. It was a bad experience. Anyways i got a 2nd opinion elsewhere and was told i have great insurance and paid $50 to have the 2nd tooth taken care of and they made me comfortable on coming back to get my teeth fixed. read more

Routinely I check out Yelp before scheduling places but, in this instance, it was an emergency situation and I'm glad I skipped the poor reviews for this office! We had a very thoughtful experience for our situation and feel much gratitude for each staff person we came in contact with last weekend. My adult son had a broken tooth that he was unable to attend to until now and a sudden infection flared up on Saturday morning. I called Smile Dental and they were so gracious and understanding and allowed us to rush to the office even though it was near closing time and they were busy. It was a stressful procedure but my son said he felt he was in good care and not judged for his situation. This place deserves negative stars this was the worse dental experience I have ever had. Not only did my dental surgery take an hour longer than It was supposed to but they wouldn't help me with any of the pain that I was in for weeks afterwards. On top of that I was still in pain over a week after having my sutures removed come to find out the stupid lady left a suture in my mouth! It saddens me to have to write this review, but Yelp's forum is for people to tell the truth and potentially protect other consumers from being harmed. My family has been coming to this dental practice for over a year. The first time my son came here he was told he had 8 cavities. Thought that was a lot, especially since he hadn't had that many cavities his entire life, but we got them fixed and moved on and told our son to floss more and brush better lol. Well this last visit that we had at this practice made us question what was going on so we got a second opinion. I came in and was told that I needed braces. Dr Azizi, who isn't my normal dentist but mine was busy so she came in, looked at me for about 5 seconds and told me I needed braces and that I had one cavity. I have never ever in my entire life ever been told by a single dentist that I ever needed braces. Then my husband came in to see Dr Azizi and was told he needed 2 root canals and had 2 cavities as well. On top of that he was getting deep cleanings because that is what he was told he needed. Then our son came in to see Dr Azizi and was told he had 2 cavities as well. My husband went to another dentist to get a second opinion and had him take xrays and do a full checkup. The dentist informed my husband that everything looked good. My husband asked him, don't I need 2 root canals right here and have two cavities there? The dentist said no, you don't have any cavities and you definitely don't need any root canals. Then he asked the dentist about getting a deep cleaning. He was told he didn't need deep cleanings and that his gums were good. We brought our son in several weeks later and was told the same thing. No cavities. Unfortunately I got my supposed cavity already "fixed" so I wasn't able to get that checked out. It is crazy to think that we would have gotten all of this stuff done, but glad our better judgement warned us. I CAUTION you. Be very very careful. If they tell you that you need major procedures or have a lot of cavities, get a second opinion. It probably will end up saving you a lot of money and a lot of pain. I came here for my 2 children and everything was going well and everyone was super nice to me. Doctor were so caring, just that the treatment planner Jessica was a total rude person, very unprofessional, and had no customer service what so ever. If she doesn't want to help patients, then why work at a Dentist Clinic. If you have commercial dental insurance through your employer they will ask for the money up front hundreds of $300+ for treatment, before even scheduling your appointment for treatment. They need to fire her Jessica, she doesn't belong in that clinic and offsets everyone else's genuine hard work. read more

The office staff is very poorly trained. This location puts their needs over the client. I made the mistake of choosing this dental clinic for my sons first appointment last year. Today when I returned for my sons scheduled annual check up they informed me they cancelled the appointment. I was perplexed because I made this appointment well in advanced. They cancelled without speaking to me. My son missed school for nothing. I wasted my time as well. Smiles Dental Clinic has lost at least fifteen years worth of dental service revenue by turning me away. I will never set foot in this clinic or any of their other locations. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. My complaint is with the "office manager" and her lack of professionalism. I had to wait over 2 months for my permanent crown. Was called 5 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment for cancellation because my crown wasnt in. Ok. I had to keep rescheduling and what not. Finally after the ordeal, I reached out to the manager for answers. 3 days later, she called me back. Every other word that she spoke was 'um' and tried to tell me she couldnt send me my xrays by email. Completely out of her element and job title. Front office staff is very nice and welcoming. This was the first time I've been to the dentist in years and instead of making me feel at ease I was told if I wanted to have teeth by the age of 40 I need to start on my teeth ASAP! Of course that would freak anyone out. I was told I needed a root canal done but they couldn't perform the root canal on sight because I needed to see a specialist and also needed to have a bone graft done in order to place a crown. I was skeptical about this because I heard the dentist tell the person across from me the same exact thing about the bone graft and specialist. The dentist spoke at a fast paced didn't take her time to explain until I asked questions it felt like she rushed everything to go onto the next patient.So I went to another dental office for a second opinion and come to find out I didn't need a bone graft done nor did I need to see a specialist, they performed the root canal that same day. It amazes me how they wanted extra work done that I didn't even need and felt like they only wanted extra money from me. I definitely will not be going back. I saw the negative reviews mixed in with positive ones. I was hesitant to go to this clinic. I am so glad I went here to get an initial consultation. I had a full set of x-rays and consultation done in Scottsdale, $240. Here at Smile, $20. I shopped around all over the valley. I needed lots of work done. 2 root canals, 2 crowns. Gum treatments. I was infected. Needed 2 extractions. I had ignored my teeth for a long time. The prices at Smile were incredible. So then I was worried about, you get what you pay for. I had nothing to worry about. Dr. Harsinii is a really good dentist. Mostly pain free during and even after the procedures. He is always checking to see if you are okay, in any pain. I went here for an emergency dental situation. I was in extreme pain to the point I had no sleep for about 2 weeks and couldn't eat. I saw this place on my way to my house and I decided to call since I had no insurance they told me I had to pay $40.00 as a self patient and they also offered loans if needed. First visit I meet with the male Dr. he was good did some work in my mouth and I felt pain but it was bearable. The following visit was when it all went down hill they switched me to the female Dr and all I can say is she was rushing through the ENTIRE procedure hurting me like you guys have no idea they put anesthetics and even with that I felt her cutting into my gums and her messing with my tooth for 1 week I had pain in my mouth with again no food nor sleep pain meds did not work this is not to mention I had to take out an emergency loan of $4,500.00 front desk girls were really rude and kept pushing me to take out an additional loan to get my wisdom teeth out I said NO WAY!...I now have insurance and I moved to one of the best Dentist in the city of Phoenix....I will say this office is clean and well organized read more

I went here for an emergency dental situation. I was in extreme pain and already have a fear of going to the dentist. This place, proved my fear to be true. The 'dentist' didn't introduce herself to me, just walked over and asked her assistant what the situation was. The only point my tooth was looked at was to take the x-ray. The 'dentist' looked at my x-ray and asked if I wanted to keep or lose the tooth! Told me, if I wanted to keep the tooth it would be weeks until a root canal could be done by a specialist and in the end it may be decided to pull it anyway. I went with to have it pulled that day instead of waiting weeks in pain for the same outcome. This person made me feel awful about my choice in the end. She also made me feel awful for being upset during my whole visit there. Even telling me I was being stupid! I was left sitting in different areas, with no explanation of what was happening.
