BEWARE: DO NOT STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE, from the moment I walked in, this place is super sketchy, I came in for an issue and also for new patient work up, whenever the first dr took me to the back she asked what I came for, I exclaimed I came to get an issue checked out on my gums and do the regular new patient checkup and cleaning. After the head doctor came in after about 45 minutes of waiting, he explained he can't do nothing for me and then sent me off with a referral and as they were sending me out I asked about when they were doing the cleaning to which the dr argued with me that I didnt mention I wanted that... please at all costs avoid this place. Save your time. Save your money. Just go somewhere else... legitimately. I'm not even joking... and in the time I was there I heard two billing issues occur with other patients that the doctors could not explain. There's no closed rooms by the way.. anywho I would pull my teeth out with rusted pliers before I go back here again.. please consider this comment when looking for a dentist in this area.. read more

Was quoted $2100 for a crown I didn't need. Got the tooth fixed at tri dental in Eustis for $299.

I need to update on a scathing review I gave Smile Design in January. I wrote the review out of frustration over a charge for work that my insurance did not cover although I was told it would. Please know that this had nothing to do with Dr. Shah or his staff. I think Dr Shah is magnificent and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. I received a call today from Denise, the area manager who informed me that the charge was an error on their part and that the $883 would be voided. In her defense, she had tried to contact me several times but my phone recognized it as spam. She could not have been more polite and apologetic. I certainly want to say again that this never had anything to do with the staff and Smile Design Leesburg. I highly recommend Dr Shah and his staff. read more

I was an old patient of Dr Jason Snyder when he ran the practice, and he was a wonderful dentist. Now the practice is owned by Dr Shah. I called them because I had lost a filling and due to a cancellation they were able to see me the same day. Did you ever get the feeling that some dental offices treat you as a wallet? After telling me that because I was being seen as an emergency they would only take one x-Ray for $155 and the doctor would come in and take a look, but any work would have to wait for 3 weeks. Well, they took the X-ray and Dr. Shah took a look and told me that because I have such strong jaw muscles that I would need a couple of crowns and presented me with a "treatment plan" for $3200. When they saw how hesitant I was, Dr Shah said that if I agreed to the plan they could start work right then. I guess for $3200 they found the time which wasn't available just 5 minutes prior to that. There was never a discussion of the different types of crowns or the different costs of different crowns. In my opinion, this practice has degenerated into a corporate practice that is much more interested in maximising profits than giving the best patient care. read more

I have been a patient with them for 4 years. I called them on Feb 8th because I had a crown that was chipped. I was informed that they would see if they had any cancelations and call me back . I never received a call back. Feb 10th the crown fell out completely and was causing pain. I also have had 5 joint replacements and it is vital that I don't get dental infections. I called again at 9 am and was told "one of the girls" would call me back. I never received a call back so I called them at 11 am. I was informed they were not able to work me in. The fact that they never returned my calls so I could look for other options is very disappointing. The care I received when I had appointments was good. The support staff...not so good read more

Absolutely horrible experience. I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled 4 pm appointment. Door locked with a note that only said to call the phone number on the note and notify them of your arrival. Nothing else on the note. I called and was told the hygienist would be with me shortly. After 15 more minutes waiting at 95-degree temperature, I called the number again and asked for some water. When the office person came out with a small cup of water I informed her that it was hot and I suffer from heat exhaustion. She replied that when the hygienist is ready she would come for me. About 20 minutes later and about to pass out I made it to my vehicle. At that time the hygienist finally came out for me. I never received an apology. Just the opposite, when I voiced my concern I was told that I could go elsewhere. Then I receive this follow up message from the owner (below) that said someone reached out to me.....never happened. They are just trying to cover their rear end. They are not ethical. read more

Have been a patient for a year. Left sitting in a dental chair for 20 minutes and Dr. decides I'm no longer his patient. 1. A filling became a crown. 2. A filling done incorrectly and waited 5 days for the office to open. Had 3 different dental assistants in a year work with Dr. Jason Snyder- one was good. Just had him glue in a crown for $100.00 Office staff said if I didn't have insurance $200. There is no more work to do on my teeth so I guess get rid of patient.. read more

I was uncomfortable at first to go to aa new Dentist since I had been with the same Dentist since 2006. But as soon after I got into the back after waiting for about a little over an hour after my appointment time, I felt much better. Every single person I came in contact with had a great sense of humor and just a joy to talk to. They were very helpful and I am going back next week. This review is a bit over due but I also have busy life. So my time needs to be managed and appreciated just a bit more. But other than that I am looking forward to seeing Dr. Snyder again. BEWARE! Last year I lost my bridge because the dentist missed seeing decay on an x ray. Even after the hygienist pointed it out to him he did nothing. I was a dental assistant myself and know that this was a huge oversight. I have been trying to reach the corporate office numerous times to speak to them and try to resolve this but, have been blocked by a regional representative. So, beware of this company! Dental Avoider!!!! Resuming dental care, was recommended by my Aunt to see Dr Snyder. First off, the dental administrative came out to the waiting room with the forms to be filled ( Got out from her desk, not calling me behind the window!!) Very kind, soft spoken and professional. I was impressed by that gesture! After filling all pertinent paperwork my wait was not long, I explained to Dental Tech. Tamika my nervousness, she was very comforting , explaining entire process as she took X-rays, the Dental Hygienist followed ( forgot name sorry) also describing process, outcome and plan, in comes Dr Snyder (I tried my best not to show anxiety) his demeanor was superb! Equally as informative, and earned my trust, I was given Plan of Action for my care, projected costs, not pushed at all, the freedom to do at my pace. I LOVE the fact I can do " one stop-shop" not have to endure seeing other doctors. Who wants HBP during the entire visit again?! The visit was well worth it, with information and cost at hand I'm ready to start my " dental journey" in the next weeks. The ENTIRE staff deserves a Navy Bravo-Zulu for a job well done but most of all the synchronized good vibe and system they have from start to finish. Wish I didn't even have to leave 1 star. Went in because I had pain in upper right jaw. Saw dentist - Jason Snyder. X-rays showed no cavities in whole mouth; however dentist started talking about replacing all the amalgam fillings I had which had been done in the 1960's & were still in good shape. During all of this-a dental assistant sat to the left & kept talking about money. In the meantime, the dentist took an explorer & chipped a large part of a perfectly good filling from the last molar in the upper left quadrant of my mouth causing great pain. I was totally outraged and considered this an assault. Snyder stated the amalgam fillings could leak & make me sick. I'm 74, the fillings had been there for 45-50 yrs & I'm in perfect health. The quote they shoved in my face to remove all amalgam fillings was well over $6K. I got up & walked out of the office. Days later after an MRI and @ my neurologist's office I was diagnosed with chronic migraines & the pain I was experiencing in my upper jaw was part of chronic migraine headaches. I found reputable dentist who repaired the damage done by the dentist @ Smiles and this dentist actually did the work pro bono because I had taken my granddaughter in with me for a checkup & brought him a new patient. Beware of Smiles Dentistry & Jason Snyder, DMD- it's all about the money. They do shoddy work. read more
