I've been a patient of Dr. Weaver for about 2-3 years now, and just this last Tuesday was my appointment to get my braces removed and get fitted for a retainer. Though I am glad to have all that metal out of my mouth (who wouldn't) I honestly think I'm going to personally miss my regular appointments. These guys are friendly, professional, and they know their stuff. They did their best to ensure that my experience wearing braces was as comfortable as possible, they gave me good tips on hygiene maintenance, and they were able to work with my dentist and oral hygienist as far as scheduling - they'd often "sandwich" adjustment appointments around my dental cleaning appointments so that I could go in for 15 minutes, get my wires taken out to make it easier to clean my teeth, then get them put back in after I was done with the cleaning. They happily fielded any questions I had about what they were doing, and while having people poking around in your mouth is never a pleasant experience, they did their best to ensure I was not unnecessarily uncomfortable while they worked. Between the time my braces were put in and the time they were taken out I've had a lot happen in my life - graduated college, found work in the IT industry, moved out on my own, then moved back home, et cetera - and over the course of my treatment I had somewhat of a personal friendship with many of the staff and I would regale them with stories of my latest life adventures in between fittings and adjustments. I'm afraid I may have bored them many a time but they never seemed to mind. They also have a nice rewards program - you earn points for showing up to appointments on time and following doctor's instructions (such as good hygiene, wearing your rubber bands properly, etc), and you can cash these points in for some goodies once you have enough. As it so happens I'll be cashing in my stash today for a couple of GameStop gift cards to go toward a Nintendo Switch. Finally, last but not least the results speak for themselves. Though I have not yet had my "after" picture taken, I can already tell you the improvement is mind-blowing. When I first got braces, my teeth were horribly crooked, to the point where I was having severe plaque issues on some of them due to being too far back in my mouth to reach with a toothbrush. Now, they look straighter, whiter, and altogether more appealing than they ever did. I tend to have a case of "resting b***h face" due to the fact that I never liked to show my teeth when I smiled. Unfortunately it's become a habit, but now that my smile doesn't make me or people around me uncomfortable, I feel like I can break that habit and smile more. That alone would be worth the 3 years of sore jaw and the week-long post-adjustment ramen diets when I couldn't bite down on anything harder than a limp noodle without a world of pain, not to mention the almost-trip to the ER when I got my tongue speared by a bit that was sticking out (thankfully there was a tech at the BracesU office who was able to help me on short notice with that one so hospital bills were avoided) - the friendly atmosphere and the sage advice given by the Doctor and his staff were the icing on the cake. My treatment is not over - I am at high risk for regression and will probably have to wear a retainer nightly for the rest of my natural life - but I am quite happy with the progress I've made, and I'm thankful for Braces U for making that happen. I give them a glowing recommendation to anyone, be you a 7-8 year old little kid, a teen, or a 20-something big kid. These guys are not only the best in Laramie and Cheyenne, they're the best in all Wyoming. And Montana. And Nebraska. Probably a bit of Colorado too. read more

After our Dentist recommended that our daughter see an orthodontist, we visited quite a few orthodontists in the area. We were very impressed with Braces U. They were very open and honest with us, and were never pushy. They even encouraged us to search out all options and take time to think about it. They make every visit fun with "Campus Cash" that our daughter can earn with her braces homework points which can then be redeemed for prizes! She loves that they have a bowl of sugar free gum that they encourage patients to take, especially when her braces get tightened and she knows that her mouth will hurt. Dr. Weaver is always smiling and so friendly. He takes the time to get to know patients; always asking them how they are doing. The staff is also very friendly and professional. Braces U has been a wonderul place to undergo my orthodontic treatment. Their staff is gentle, kind, and very knowledgeable. Dr. Weaver was very thorough and he listened to my concerns whenver I had them. I thought this experience was going to be dreadful, but after spending two years with the staff at Braces U in Laramie, my experience has been anything but dreadful. I was super nervous about getting my braces because I am 20 years old, and braces are a "kiddy thing" to get, however the doctors and staff were EXTREMELY nice to me. they comforted my decision to go ahead and get the braces, but most importantly to me, they treated me like the adult I am.
