I went to a wedding reception held at the Estate Ultra bar 2 weekends ago and AShah was the DJ for the rooftop party. It was a unique experience, as I'd never been to an Indian wedding reception that was held at a rooftop bar during the daytime, and AShah nailed it. A little help from the open bar and phenomenal music. He obviously let the couple request certain songs at certain times (I'm assuming that playing Bedrock as all the friends and parents posed for a group picture was not his idea). So it's nice to know that he has no problem playing requests from the couple...even unconventional ones. When the dancefloor opened up, the dancing didn't stop until the event was over. And that's a pretty impressive feat considering the heat and straight on sun beating down on us. The DJ kept everyone on the floor...er...roof, playing a perfect balance of Indian songs, American songs, 80s classics including Journey, and everything in between that was all perfect for a rooftop dance party in the middle of the day. I recommend Ashah for photo booth services at my recent wedding. Like previous reviews I found him on groupon but think he ran a fair and good business. He was great about corresponding with me. As a bride this is one of the top qualities I looked for in my vendors, because if they weren't great at responding to be how could I guarantee that they would be on time the day of the wedding when I couldn't micro manage things. Anyways Ankit arrived early to set up, his staff was delightful, and my guests had a great time. It was well worth the price I paid, and Ankit was cost considerably less than other vendors. Hired AShah for a personal monogram and for photobooth services. He worked with me to ensure that I got the best price which is truly appreciated it. Friendly staff, on time arrival and he even helped pass out favors for the photobooth. Only snag was that the monogram wasn't as visible as I would have liked it to be on the dance floor. Working with this vendor was an absolute disappointment. We found a very reasonable Groupon and used it on a photo booth for our wedding reception this August. The booth itself was subpar and the picture quality was nothing close to what was featured on the company's site. Additionally, we still have yet to receive our copy of the photos that were taken, although I have requested them 4 times. I would highly recommend almost every other vendor we worked with for the wedding, but definitely not this one!!! Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT work with this company. ***I am amending this review to state that I did eventually (after FOUR requests to the vendor) receive the disc with my photos. How in the world do these people have a single 5 star review?! I don't even think this company is in business anymore. I'm quite certain they went out of business sometime over the past month. My wife and I did not get what we PAID FOR through a Living Social deal for our wedding. Our wedding photo booth did not end up working, and I was told we would be receiving correspondence early the following week. A month later, we have emailed several times and left a message (can't leave anymore messages because their mailbox is full - probably with complaints), and not even so much as an apology. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in the photo booth that I got for the wedding. I got a great deal from Ankit and appreciated it however, on the day of my wedding instead of enjoying myself I had to constantly find ways to make the photo booth lighting better. The photobooth attendant knew it was dark and did not do anything to fix the issue. I got married at the end of March 2014 and I received the digital copies of the photo booth today. For the last 5 months I was told the usb key would be mailed to me first class but it of course never arrived. I followed up with Ankit SEVERAL TIMES. Because I complained about the lighting Ankit did say he would go through the pictures and edit them but I am almost sure that too was not done. This def. was not in my budget as I had lost a lot of money due to Bristol Court closing 2 weeks prior to my wedding but because this is the one thing I really wanted I ended up booking the photo booth. I purchased a Living Social deal to have a photo booth at my recent wedding. We were all very much looking forward to having a photo booth at our reception and enjoying those once in a lifetime pictures. That night after setting up their booth, they informed me there was a problem with their camera lens and would be unable to take any pictures. They then packed up and left with no alternate solution except to say they'd give me my money back. Well my wedding was over 3 weeks ago and I have yet to hear from them or get my money back. They won't return my phone calls or emails. Their mail box is also now full so I assume I'm not the only one having issues with them? I'm still hopeful I'll get my money back as they did not honor the contract. I would advise anyone against using them. read more

Ankit was awesome to work with! I first initially contacted him for a photobooth at my wedding and I then ended up adding speakers and a sound system. Both were perfect and the guests had a blast in the photobooth. Ankit was so cool that he noticed it was kind of quiet at the wedding and just started playing music to pick up the mood. Like some of the reviewers below, we purchased a Living Social deal for AShah Entertainment's photobooth services for our wedding 8/31. Our situation turned out quite well. Overall, the photo quality was excellent. Our guests enjoyed the photobooth and several commented on how friendly Ankit was as the attendant. I have some young cousins ( ages 7-12) that kept jumping in, which was probably irritating, but he handled them incredibly well. The equipment was set up efficiently without a problem. AShah gave us access to the photos the very next day on Facebook and followed up with an email assuring us that we'd have a hard copy next week. Regarding communication, I think our situation requires some explanation. Our venue required any outside vendors to provide proof of liability insurance before being allowed in the premises. We contacted AShah before buying (without issue) months prior to the wedding and were told it would not be a problem. Our venue informed us they hadn't received the insurance in early August. My wife had some trouble contacting AShah in the first few weeks of August (as some reviewers apparently also did). She was able to get in touch with them via email around 8/20 and I spoke on the phone with Ankit several times in the 3-5 days immediately prior to the wedding. He had thought they needed to add the venue to their insurance's approved list, when in reality we just needed proof that they had liability coverage as a corporation. It was our miscommunication and they quickly followed up on my conversation with the necessary forms. While my wife was very worried by the reviews that coincided with our inability to contact AShah, they ultimately did get in touch with us and resolved the issue quickly. Above all else, we got our money's worth from AShah Entertainment for our event. I can't speak to anyone else's experience, but our pictures are great (and hilarious), our guests enjoyed the experience, and the equipment and attendant were handled professionally. I would certainly recommend AShah to others in the future, with the caveat that contacting them longer than two weeks before your event may be hit or miss. read more

I hired AShah to bring a photo booth to my party. Being the host, I did not take any photos myself, but the few I saw were ok- a little on the dark side. However, I was promised copies of all the photos that were taken that evening-August 30, 2014. Today is December 9, 2014 and I still haven't seen the photos. We had a photobooth at our wedding reception in the Chicago suburbs through AShah Entertainment. I live in California, and had to do all of my communications long distance and through email. I had a lot of questions, and Ankit was incredibly prompt and professional in his communications. He set everything up for me exactly how I had asked. In the craziness of everything, I completely forgot to send him the logo we wanted on our photobooth strips. We got it to him a few hours before the event, and he had no issue adding that on for us. However, just as others have written, the promised DVD of the pictures taken still have not arrived, and the wedding was in August! Do Not Ever get this place. They were supposed to come to my sons graduation party and never showed up. The excuse I was given was that the car had broken down in Chicago. I receieved the call at 3:09 in the afternoon and they were supposed to be at my event at 4:00. They had no backup plan. Said he would come to another event at 1/2 the price??? I had originally gotten 60% off now I was only going to get 50%??? Like my son will graduate twice from high school. He had also charged me an extra $50 for travel that I sent in a check. He claimed he tore the check up rather than sending it back to me as I requested. Then proceeds to tell me I can have the bank verify. How the heck will my bank be able to verify that he tore it up. We used a Photo Booth from AShah Entertainment for our wedding 3 weeks ago. We were extremely disappointed in the results. All of the pictures turned out blue, and when some were printed out, they were split into two boxes. On top of that we were also told that they would provide us with a book for people to put their pictures in and sign, and that was not there either. We loved every other vendor we used except them. I used AShah Entertainment for my sorority's formal and it was great! We've used them in the past and we've always loved the music. Ankit played a lot of great music and throwbacks that my sisters and their dates loved. It was great to enjoy the music and relax from all the planning. He was there on time and ready to go when we arrived, and I really appreciated the work he put into making it a night everyone will remember.
