Unfortunately, the facility has hit a bit of a decline lately. What used to be impeccably dry, clean floors are now prone to dust and hairballs, and it's gotten so wet in the wet sauna areas that they've just started putting out "caution" signs instead of actually keeping it dry. I've seen quite a few people slip. Even the "unlimited" towel perk has been downgraded to a strict two-towel limit, and the food portions and quality have shrunk exponentially compared to the cost they charge it at. That being said, there is one major saving grace: the Korean auntie who does the body scrubs. She is an absolute legend and deserves a massive raise for everything she puts up with! She's the main reason the experience still feels somewhat authentic and worth driving to. The rooms are also on the smaller side, so if you go during peak hours, it's definitely more "crowded" than "calm." Honestly, the only reason I still make the trip is that it's the only K-spa within a reasonable driving distance from Boston. If there were more local options, I'd probably skip the decline here and head straight to NJ or NYC for a higher-quality experience. It's still a decent option if you're desperate for a scrub and a soak without the four-hour drive, but I really miss the high standards they had at the beginning.

I'm going to have to agree with some of the other reviewers that people were in the spa spaces with phones, and there was a lot of talking, which did make it hard to relax. When I was checking out, the young man at the counter, said some very weird things to me, which showed a lack of hospitality training. Someone else mentioned that when they checked in, they were given no orientation to the space and I had the same experience. It was put your shoes in a bag and here's where the locker room is. It's OK, I figured it out pretty quickly, but it might've been nice considering they were not busy at the front desk. I lived in Korea and have experienced authentic Korean bathhouses. This is not it, but I appreciate that the space exists and all different kinds of people were utilizing it.

A family friend invited me to Zen out with her and my Mom at the Salt Cave and I was so excited! First of all I knew I needed to relax and I knew the private session for us would be what we all needed to heal so much we're all dealing with. Once I entered Casey greeted us kindly. Such a warm bright smile. I love walking in here the aura is so Zen and the vibes are just perfect. They have stuff all around you can buy- stones, salt items, shirts, jewelry. There was just so much to look at. To the Cave! Casey made sure we got into our zero gravity chairs easily as they can be tricky. But once settled in the cave with our blanket (they provide) and all set in the chairs seated back and relaxed it was time for Zen. My mom and our family friend were immediately relaxed it did take me some time as I have a lot going on in my mind. But the cave does a short guided meditation and then the rest was just relaxing sounds. I can't explain the calmness this cave brings. It like forces you to relax. Your mind and body are like being forced to let go of all the pain and hurt. It's so hard to explain you just have to try it for yourself. The salt cave you must wear white or light colored socks. They have cubbies for your shoes in the back. The rocks do hurt your feet but once you're in your seat you're perfectly fine. The sessions are also private. So whether it's 1 person for I think 8 max it's private for you and your group which I love.I also found out they do massages in there as well per request, and yoga! I'm for sure going to do a massage in there! I love it and I'll be back a few more times before I move.

It took a while to really get into the guided imagery/zero gravity chair and become zen but I eventually got there! Walked out of there feeling so much lighter and more relaxed. Hung out in the rest/beverage and snack lounge for a while. Loved the games, books, oracle cards and tarot decks. Will absolutely be back again. I needed some peace in my life and Saltitude absolutely provided this. So greatful to my friend for this gift!

Parking in on street, I don't believe you have to pay though. Staff is super nice and welcoming, gave us the run down, provided us with a sandals and a robe. The robe are pretty size inclusive, I only had a little gap, and I'm a 3x. You get a locker and they even have a bathing suit dryer when you're done (pictured) That said, it's a smaller space than the Newport location inside, where the actual pools/saunas are. However, you can still get in and out of the pools with ease because of the railings. There is maybe enough space for two in the plunge pool. Staff came through with some cool eucalyptus towelettes and there is free flavored or non flavored water to drink. The cons for me would be the parking, and the over booking, people were struggling to find places for their robes and cups. Otherwise, this is a great experience for your body and peace of mind, would recommend.

I called to confirm the day prior and I actually remember that I had a gift card so I gave her the gift card number and I confirmed with the woman that answered the phone and said after the gift card applies please use the card on file. I don't want my husband to pay for the massage as it's his birthday. He will tip in cash. The woman confirmed and she's said absolutely no problem. She was very nice. My husband went and got the massage. The cost of a massage was $160. He said the spa itself was nice. The massage was mediocre, nothing to really like rave home about. He was looking forward to this massage and to be relaxed and wasn't really dissatisfied, but wasn't satisfied. Then he goes to check out and the woman tells him it's $60 when I specifically told them to use the card on file. So my husband is not a confrontational person so of course he paid it and then paid the tip and then of course my husband gets home and won't take money from me so he literally paid for his own massage for his birthday. Just simple directions they could've followed personally I won't rebook.

I…read morewas on a month-to-month membership (no contract) and submitted my 45-day written cancellation notice in July 2025. I also stopped using the gym before my cancellation notice was even submitted. Despite this, they tried to charge me for an additional full month of dues for time I would not be using the facility. I offered to pay my past due balance in good faith, but they refused and demanded more. Their billing company, ABC Fitness Solutions, kept pointing the finger back at the gym, while the gym avoided addressing the issue altogether. I even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau -- but WOW/ABC did not respond within 30 days, showing they are not interested in resolving disputes fairly. Consumers deserve transparency and honesty. If you're considering joining this gym, please be aware of their strict cancellation policy, vague billing terms, and unwillingness to work with members when disputes arise. Also listed as a 24hr gym which is a complete lie.

While working out at east Providence for the past 7-8 months out of the 13years I have encountered several older men either recording me, following me out of the parking lot and stabbing my tires. I AM NOT the only victim of being followed out, recorded or filmed yet I AM the only one to have my membership revoked. The specific incident that occurred for my revoked membership was an older man following me from machine to machine with certain moments of his phone in his hands not facing the ground but facing outward at me. ( THERE ARE SIGNS EVERYWHERE SAYING NO PHONES ) I didn't even look or interact with this older man instead a gentleman I never met working out seen and approached the older man, as did another gentleman who noticed. They nicely asked him to see his recent camera roll and the guy would not show it. They brought him up front and told the kid working what they seen. He asked me as I walked out if I wanted a call I said no since I wasn't involved. Afterwards the two gentlemen told me he was shaking and wouldn't produce his camera roll until they walked away he went through it for a few then tried to ask the front desk worker to look. The next day the manager Marisa called me anyways. She was very rude cutting me off before I could finish saying what happened asking questions like why does this happen when she's not there and why am I there at that hour anyways, questions that did not matter with additional stress my body did not need which I told her. She then proceeded to go on about her trainer who also had an altercation with me, which is wrong on her end to bring up because he was a cheating husband who got caught and thought I snitched because Marisa likes to play friends with the clients instead of being a manager and went and told the clients what she over heard. It's all on a recorded line and she immediately said she'd be having HR call me to get rid of me instead. HR said Marisa spoke to all parties involved which is a lie and I have the proof and also spoke to all parties involved. They are also telling people I canceled my membership when I did not. Marisa has also been caught speaking about this to several clients which is very unprofessional. HR also said they'd be parting ways even though I had no interaction with this altercation because I had altercations in the past... too bad there wasn't half the altercations on file with police reports (even though the officer works out there and can also provide photos sent to him) or paperwork from the mechanics which prove my tire was stabbed by an ice pick on the inner wall with the head snapped off. This discrimination is personal since no other member has been canceled for being followed out, tire stabbed, or recorded and if I was Marisa id get a job I could handle instead of taking downers midway through her shift that turn her into a zombie that can't handle anything ! Please tell HR they have the documentation for the time I was followed and had to come back and so did he but you know he was off his meds and it won't happen again because our safety isn't shit right ? Easier to get rid of me than the "new members". And why is it that this 2hour rule applied to me but not any other member ? Or the underaged employees friends who hangout at the front desk during their shift and roll up drugs in the bathrooms and trash the bathrooms ? How about the guy who stabbed my tires did we tell HR that he didn't have an up to date picture because he was scanning in as someone else ? Did we tell HR WHYYYY we had to start making sure every member has a photo on their account now ? Did we tell HR how one of the times this has really happened or no because it will make you guys look bad. How about when Marisa caught Cindy taking $10 fees for people who had the free friend..... yea I bet it was easier to just get rid of me I know too much. The safety of your members should be a priority and so should making sure your members & staff follow the rules because singling out one is. My contract also states "Cancellation shall be effective submitting a 30 day written notice to ABC Financial Services, Inc., PO Box 6800, Sherwood, AR 72124"

You can imagine how over the moon I was to find this place in lil' Rhody. Thai massages are dry massages and involve a lot of gentle stretching and some acupressure. I typically leave energized and not sleepy. The massage quality is at par with what one would expect for this modality. I have no complaints here. The only setback is the service rate. This place, perhaps due to lack of competition, is pricey. This has prevented me from coming regularly. That said, if you've never had a Thai massage before and are curious about what makes it different--while not planning to visit Thailand soon, or any other state where there are more spas offering this service--then do visit Thai Tranquility Bodywork.
