It's hard to know what your face might need, but my technician was so helpful in trying to balance what I thought I needed versus what her expertise advised. This spa was wonderful from the moment I walked in until I left hours later. Front desk staff were skilled, courteous, and happy to greet me! I had never been there before, but friends had pitched in and gave me a gift certificate for a big birthday...so I decided to go all in on a spa package trio! The body scrub & contrast shower was unreal & invigorating, the facial was beautifying, and the Swedish/therapeutic massage was relaxing! The steam shower before the services was a first time experience for me and was incredible! The lounge in between services was zen and offered unique tea flavors and cold water. They even offered me a snack between my 2nd and 3rd services to hold me over until dinner because I was there so long! The sauna after my final service was just 'the right touch' to complete my day of pampering! There was one small issue during my visit, but after speaking with the owner/manager, my concerns were addressed and everything was immediately made right! I had been travelling and after spending 17 hours getting home from Scotland, and my body was really sore. I don't have a regular massage therapist since mine retired at the start of COVID. I didn't know what spa to call, so looked on Yelp. The Right Tough had good reviews and luckily I was able to get an appointment for a massage the next day! They told me they had only a male massage therapist available at that time and if that was ok. I said "yes" and I booked the appointment. I got there, was checked in quickly and professionally and shown to the woman's locker where I changed and then waited in the relaxation room. At 2:00, Curtis came in and introduced himself to me and we went upstairs to the massage rooms. Curtis , who has been a massage therapist for many years was amazing!!!!. We had discussed about where I had the most aches (neck and shoulders and back) and he adjusted his massage accordingly. I felt great after my massage!!!! He was very professional and polite. I have been going to The Right Touch Day Spa for years now. I typically get a 90 minute massage and I try to get in once a month or so. I have had Beth as my massage therapist for years now, and she is great! The massage therapists are knowledgeable and are current on pain-relieving techniques. Normally, I would've ranked this spa 5 stars; however, they made a decision recently that has demoted them down to 4 stars. The spa has changed their locker room/shower experience. Now requiring you to purchase a $10 pass in order to use these basic facilities. The $10 charge also includes use of the sauna. These facilities were what separated The Right Touch "Day" Spa from Elements or Massage Envy. With this change, instead of changing in a robe/sandals and waiting in the spa lounge, you go straight to your room and change in the treatment room. Suggestion to the spa: Charge individuals for the sauna only; but please bring back use of locker room/showers without cost. It was such a nice touch that separated you from your competition. Have had nothing but mediocre service over the years but continued to return due to receiving gifts with the hopes that they would improve. Tonight was the icing on the cake. They can't even follow a simple request to not put a client in the room with direct sunlight through the curtains (how relaxing). Follow the request or invest in blackout curtains. Dawn, the front desk receptionist told me I was being rude by requesting this. This is after returning after a year hiatus after having a therapist on her cellphone the entire service to only be told that they "use cellphones to communicate with the front during covid" and compensate us $25. Great spot with amazing customer service! My girlfriend and I have been their prior to Covid and her being pregnant. So I called and had a good amount of questions, Don handled my call like I was hoping! She was extremely professional, asked the right questions and made me feel comfortable. I have been a client at this spa for at least 10 years, closer to 15. It was my go-to, even when I lived on the other side of the country, I would schedule appointments during my visits home. My massage therapists are great. The access to the locker rooms was a huge selling point. Being able to shower after a service was great, especially if you had something to do after. The spa closed the locker rooms, citing lack of staff, then all of sudden, reopened them, but for an additional fee. I continued to come despite this, however, I am no longer going to be customer because I'm consistently taken in late for my appointments despite showing up 15 mins early. They take me in 5 mins late, make me change in the room since I don't pay for the locker rooms, and then they don't come back in for at least another 5 mins. The massage still ends on time, so I lose 10 mins of my 60 minute massage..... Beyond frustrating, so unfortunately I'll be taking my monthly business elsewhere at this point. read more

You cancel your appointment less the 24 hours and they charge you 50%. Ok. They cancel on you less than ONE HOUR before a couples massage and it's just a "we are sorry too bad". No care given to the fact we both scheduled a day off and had a baby sitter for this, and were pulling in when they cancelled. Completely mismanaged, and worst customer service ever. What's worst, is that the last few appointments I've expressed that I'm leaving unhappy and Management has never reached out to me to try and rectify the situation or at least offer a discount on a service that was unsatisfactory. I visited here a couple months ago. I had a mud wrap for the first time. First impression is not a good one due to the not so friendly front desk greeters. If that's what is the face of your spa experience then maybe you should think about getting friendlier front desk greeters. This was my first time there, and probably my last. Mud wrap cost me 100 plus tip which to bad the customer service does not make the experience feel worth it. You would think they would make you feel comfortable when they bring you to the waiting area. Offer a tea or water. Make it a pleasurable experience. Make the customer feel like they are at a spa and its time to relax. Instead I was left feeling confused. Ive been to other spas and it was a whole different experience. To bad I have to give a bad review for my experience because of the bad customer service. On a positive note, The massage therapist was great and made me feel comfortable. Mud wrap felt amazing. Just an update to my JULY 2018 review in which I documented a skin injury from improperly performed cupping: It is now MAY 2019, and I still have marks on my back (I have decided not to include photographic evidence, but certainly could if requested to do so). I am going to assume that the marks are permanent. Just to reiterate the point I made in the body of my review: after skin injury so severe that it left permanent effect, and sustained as a direct result of the improperly performed treatment I received at The Right Touch, I never got so much as an apology, an admission of responsibility, or any compensation. OMG. Susan is the best yet at The Right Touch Day Spa. I met with her Sunday, for a therapeutic massage $75.00 for 60 minutes, with direction towards lower back and legs. I am on the road a lot. ALOT. And those airplane folding chairs that pass for seats are a killer. After 15 straight weeks I needed relief. Relief and relaxation, the spa is lovely clean and quiet. Susan literally knew which buttons to press. I left with a list of stretches to do daily and a swing in my step that had been missing for quite awhile. I rebooked with her before I left the building. [[Massage Entry]] After a long winter season of injury and much sitting (in the fetal position) on the sidelines....I needed a rolling-pin-to-the-back resolution, which came in the form of a 90-minute therapeutic massage ($103). After filling out my paperwork (essentially drawing a thick-lined circle around the human outline to indicate that my back and neck were my worst enemy), I was lead to the women's locker area. It's a small space, but is well-maintained and plenty of room for a couple of people to change in preparation for divinity. Once be-robe-thed, I headed towards the door labeled for the spa area. What a surprise when that door opens! A few people were dotted around the large TWO-FLOOR space. Tuffted chairs, ottomans, chaise lounges (essentially would expece CIrce's guest lounge to appear). Tea and light snacky things were at the front of the room, and gentle Enya-esque sounds whispered through the loft. Shortly after my arrival I was greeted by my masseuse, Ban, and was seen to my table. When I met Ban, she seemed to have two hands (like any other mortal). But over the course of the massage she seemed to somehow develop the ability to sprout additional limbs to the purposes of kneading and applying pressure (pretty sure the count was up to eight, at one point). I mean this is the most positive way: no one has ever touched my neck like that. The caressed the rations of stress away from my neck and shoulders, down my arms, and out through my fingertips. Time leaped forward and my ninety minutes were through in a flash. I thanked Ban, took a quick sauna/shower, and then paid and departed (shaking like a timid leaf and thankful that I had only a short drive back home). I've been coming here off and on for many years and have always had a very nice experience. I love the sauna before a massage to loosen up the body too! A few months ago I had a massage with Tiffany and hands down, it was the best I've ever had here. She is now the person that I request every time I book. There are times when I have had a spot bothering me and she knows how to work that area as well as the other areas that are contributing to the issue. Living in Hawaii and having the luxury of hotels with spas I was hoping to find something in comparison. I was wrong. If you are like me and were looking for a full day of relaxation you may want to make the drive down to Mohegan or somewhere known for their spa facilities. But if you are looking for something quick and dirty this place is def for you. I had the hot stone massage which was okay. I would not say that I left feeling any better than I already was before hand. I didn't stay for the services because the changing facility is pretty small and uncomfortable and the waiting lounge was not really my cup of tea. If you do decide to go make sure you do have cash for tip. They do take credit card but only for the service and they do no add tips. Their staff also are not the happiest so it seems. I always associate happy staff with happy management so I can only imagine what is going on behind the scenes. All in all I say that if you are looking for something after work and on the way home def this would be the easiest and best option for the area, but if you could spare the time and a bit more $, I'd say look for something else. read more

I'm not a frequent review writer but when I referred a friend to the RTD she told me a few days later she was hesitant because of some of the reviews on Yelp, I was shocked so I came on here to see what some of the complaints were about. I've been coming here sometimes twice weekly for 5 years for services and have never encountered an issue! The girls that check me in are always pleasant, they frequently fit me in last minute for services, the place is always spotless, and everything in place for my visit (robe and correct size sauna shoes, ice water with lemon and towels if using sauna, sauna at correct temp) so I am puzzled by the reviews. One reviewer complained she wasn't given tea or water upon arrival-Uh...they are just checking you in. Once you change in the locker room into your robe and slippers you can proceed to the beautiful lounge with tea, ice water, lemon, granola, trail mix, mints, etc. I even saw one lady being served a delicious looking meal (probably part of a package) Do you really need to juggle tea or water while changing? Someone called the locker room sparse. It's a locker room. It has lockers and is pleasingly decorated, private, and clean-that's what the lounge is for. Someone was upset they were charged 50% for cancelling an hour before their appointment. They should have been charged for the whole amount-that's what most spas do. My friend owns a spa. Someone else complained about having to give a credit card number when booking with a gift card. Nearly all hairdressers and service industry requires a credit card number now. I wonder why? It's because people suck and don't show up. I hope that people employ their critical thinking skills when reading these reviews because I have had consistently good service at fair prices and that is not an easy thing to pull off these days. read more

I agree with Steve P...same thing happened to us yesterday, we booked an anniversary couples massage...one masseuse was out sick for two days beforehand and they called and told us 4 hours before our appointment that they had no one to cover and would we like to reschedule. NO! I don't, this is an anniversary, we had the day off work and I booked it as a gift one month in advance... HORRIBLE service, lots of "I'm sorry" but no offer of gift certificate, discount or anything else (even though I asked for one!) ... just "oh well we tried" .... such a waste for us and a lousy anniversary ... I never usually write reviews but this was just too awful to not warn others about. Always do an hour massage but then wish I had booked a longer massage. The only thing I don't like is leaving a credit card on file. I don't trust companies having my info stored. Very upsetting experience. The room was freezing, the heater was not on for the table, the service provider had her mask half down. After I wanted to take a hot shower because I was freezing and the shower water was bearly warm, no hot water. Leaving I wanted to speak with a manager but the girl at the desk was coughing really bad. At the point I just wanted to get out of the building. I tried calling a couple of times to speak with a manager but she was never available. I asked for a email address and the first time they did not know the email address the second time they gave me a bad email address. I don't know if everyone is vaccinated but with covid they need to take this more seriously. Went for a Couples massage with wife. Walked out in pain, hurt and 3 days later still unable to hold things in my right hand due to the nerve damage done by Jessica the Masseuse. She knew she was hurting me, and told me "I'll tell you after" and after she did by blaming me that my back and front shoulders were so tight. Her technique may have been appropriate for a sports therapy massage but it completely ruined the intent of a couples massage - all I wanted to do is leave and go home and recover. I have been for a while trying to find a stylist like the one I had when I lived in NH but no one stood out. That was until I came here. Lauren is phenomenal!!!
