Constantly hounded by phone to make appointments -despite requesting for these calls to stop. Staff CONSTANTLY PUSH to have X-rays even though I have stated REPEATEDLY that I do not want to discuss X rays unless a concern or pain is present. They DON'T respect this. Once they did 3 different types of X-rays when my older minor child went alone to her appointment. They told her they were necessary, she believed them, trusted them. Once they did an X-ray on my other minor child without my consent- I was sitting in the waiting room. Tonight was the final straw- the staff member that called me said X-rays would be done at my upcoming appointment for the hygienist to do her job! That's a new one! They don't respect their patient's wishes. It's all about the money. Last week I showed up for my appointment and I hadn't even stepped into the room and the hygienist said ok we need to do 2 sets of X-rays! I ended up not having any treatment as they claimed I did not have any insurance. Called my provider and of course I did. It was something wrong on their end. My time was wasted because of their incompetence. They did not even apologize. It's all about money! Take your business elsewhere!

This appears to have been common practice among most dentists in Alberta. During the last provincial election the NDP party promised to do something about this. Now effective in 2018 the Alberta Dental Association has a suggested dental fee guide. This year for the first time ever the bill I received from Sherwood Dental matched my insurance coverage to the penny.

A couple of weeks ago, however, they decided out of nowhere to start charging me for 30% of my appointments (out of the blue, Laura the receptionist demanded i pay). She said it was mandatory and they had always done this- which was untrue. So after i paid- much more than i have ever had to pay- i got my insurance statement from my provider, stating that our visits had been 100% covered and a previous one had under around $30 owing on it. When i called to inform them they owed me money, Laura- again- was very rude to me and let me know that i will have to come in and get the money back WHEN the insurance money is in their account, regardless of what my insurance providers showed me. Also, that getting a cheque sent out to me wouldn't happen, i have to come to them. I am very much done with this office- no one needs to be treated that way, Laura was extremely unfair and rude to me demanding i pay- i was in no position to pay out that kind of money and she completely put me on the spot AFTER my kids appointments. Park Dental lost our service.

The front desk lady was very kind and got me in first thing in the morning. Dr. Holtzman and his assistant were amazing and very fairly priced for the procedure. They had no problems filling out my out- of-country insurance paperwork so that I could submit it myself. The entire office was great and most of all, I wasn't in pain and could eat! :) I will definitely be switching my entire family over to Park Dental!

absolutely the worst dental experience! the staff mislead…read moremy daughter on her wisdom teeth removal giving her the impression she would be put to sleep to get them done. when she got there (already high anxiety) they gave her three pills and waited for her to get groggy then started trying to remove them. she woke up part way through and the dentist did not stop and proceeded to try to put more needles in her mouth after she had stated numerous times to stop it was hurting! she had to get extra mad and attempt to get off the chair for him to stop! she was already extreamly fearful of dentist and needles and this guy just treated her like her feelings don't matter!!! then to add to the insult the staff stated "oh don't worry she won't remember today and can come back to remove the rest when she feels better". just the worst experience and now I have a traumatized young lady and still need to pull three more teeth somehow!!! will absolutely never go back!! strongly suggest finding anywhere else!! a back ally would be better then these people!

My first experience with Dr. Jefferies was relaxing and easy going. For people who hate dentists, I suggest visiting Parkstone Dental in Sherwood Park. Dr. Jefferies will change your attitude and make you feel at ease when laying in the dentist chair. His clinic is amazing. The design and aesthetics also give you the relaxing feeling you desire. The support staff are also accommodating for those with jitters. But there is one aspect of Parkstone Dental and Dr. Jefferies that I really want to emphasize. He is fantastic with kids. Both my boys have seen him and had amazing experiences. He has a way of talking with children to make them feel at ease that you don't see many Dentists able to do. I think it's his great sense of humour and youthful personality that does the trick. Nonetheless, I suggest yo bring your children to see Dr. Jefferies if you have a child who is nervous or scared of the dentist.

Once I started going again I started seeing Dr. Kuras - honestly, while she's super nice I've never been thrilled with my dental work. I have a couple cavities that I'm not totally happy with. If you get a good hygienist you're golden - but theres a couple I would like to avoid like the plague. The only reason I still go here is because switching dentists seems like a ton of work.

A couple of years ago we adopted a dog and have had to take her in a couple of times outside of regular exams, and the last 2 times we have seen Jared Lawrence. I really can't put my finger on it, but I just didn't feel the tenderness and compassion that I've experienced from the other vets. There seemed to be an arrogance and a condescending tone when he went over anything. My dog has had a rough past and doesn't like to be lifted on the high exam table and Jared seemed really put out by this. Previous vets were completely understanding and accommodated her needs. We recently experienced an emergency with my daughter's cat and took him to another vet clinic, as they were open on the weekend. We weren't sure if we'd have to make a difficult decision and even though Granada wasn't open (they are only open M-F) I still would've opted to see a vet I've never seen before over Dr Lawrence. I truly don't feel he would've shown the compassion and empathy we needed at this time, especially if we had to say goodbye. (side note, our cat is ok and hopefully will be released today) Bottom line, Granada Vet has lost 3 customers (2 cats & 1 dog) over something very simple.
