We absolutely adore Dr. Oana at Smiley Kidz! The office is clean, always runs on time, and they know kids! My children all look forward to going to the dentist. BONUS?? They will do all 3 kids at one appointment time so we are all in and out in a half hour. Kids get to watch a show overhead while they clean, too! This rave review is long overdue. I have 3 boys and they all see Dr. Romasan. What an absolute pro she is. Today my youngest had a cavity and Dr. Romasan took care of it. The service was decent, but I have been to a past dentist and done some drilling on that tooth, then did some shenanigans on that tooth, which messed it up. The doctor was Romanian so was my mother, so there where talking to eachother, the doctor did not think that I spoke as well so where gossiping about me. Although I was 9/10 years old, I have more mental power and social intelligence then some 40 year old's that work here. Try for your self. (They gave me a cute figure at the end ) read more

I contacted the office on 8/21 and asked to speak to Dr. Oana to inform her of the series of events that took place after my daughter had a "hot tooth" drilled last year. I was told by the front desk that she was not available so I described in detail what had occurred. I informed the staff that I thought about leaving a review but decided to reach Dr. Oana directly instead to try to process any misunderstandings. Because my concerns were disregarded and I did not receive a call back, I feel it is my responsibility to leave a review to inform others of the poor experience I had in this office. My daughter's filling fell out for a second time last month. We called the office and Dr. Oana was on vacation. There was no other dentist covering during her absence. We had no choice but to see another dentist as my daughter was very uncomfortable. To make a very long story short, my daughter has an abscess, the hot tooth that was worked on last year is now dead as well as the molar in front of it and she needs a crown on one of her molars on the opposite side. We were referred to another pediatric dentist for sedation as my daughter is going to need surgery. That dentist then had to refer us to another dentist as they did not offer IV sedation, which is what my daughter will need given the nature of the dental work she is requiring. Finally, we found the dentist who will be performing the extensive dental work on my daughter. She is scheduled for surgery next week. All 3 doctors appeared confused as to why the "hot tooth" was drilled rather than removed as it is considered "contraindicated" (that is the word they used). Not to mention the world of trauma as a result of the drilling that my daughter experienced. I would have liked to discuss all of my concerns with Dr. Oana directly but as she did not return my call, I hope she gets a chance to read this review and can hopefully empathize with my husband and I after the rollercoaster we've been through this last month with my daughter's dental issues. To even think that this could have been preventable is the most disheartening part of it all. read more

Great place for kids! The staff is so friendly and sweet and really great with my little boys. The kids remember the great waiting room with toys and the delicious flavors of fluoride. What I love is that I am part of it too; I come back to the very open room (with all the chairs) so I can sit with both boys while they have their appointments at the same time. Dr. Oana is super approachable, very kind and very informative. They are efficient and great for this busy mom! read more

I have been going here since I can remember and absolutely love the people and how they take care of me.

I have been going here since I was in elementary school! (I'm now 18, turning 19.) Dr. Oana and her staff are all super caring and gentle if need be. They just relocated across the street from their previous location. The new place is much spacier and a modern feel to it. I love it! There's plenty of toys and books in the waiting room for toddlers. You always get a little to-go package with you that includes stickers, a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, etc. I definitely recommend Dr. Oana and her staff! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE!! We took my nephew (who is 5 years old) here and had a horrific experience. The bedside manner was terrible, the doctor and her assistants were overly aggressive from start to finish. The Doctor stuck him with Novocaine in the cheek on accident (which obviously upset him) and instead of trying to help calm him down they pinned him to the chair and threatened to strap him to a board which only upset him more. We finally took him to the restroom to calm him down so we could try again and they had packed up and cleaned up the room and told us to go to a different dentist. Save your time and your child the traumatic experience and go somewhere else. read more

Best children's dentist! Dr. Oana and her staff are very caring and love children! My niece was very afraid of going to the dentist and I was terrified myself for her, but everything turned out great. Dr. Oana made her feel super special and really took the time to explain healthy teeth and made it FUN! She plays with the kids but also gives some really good information on caring for young teeth. I wish she could be my full time dentist! I recommend her to anyone that wants their child to actually be okay with going to the dentist. No more tantrums for my family. My two year old son has been in twice for regular checkups. The office moved to a new location right across the street (1700 is the current address) and the office is very nice. Dr. Oana is great - she plays around and builds rapport with your child in a effort to minimize your child's fears. My kid screamed the whole time she was touching his mouth but that's how he is with every doctor. Afterwards he was happy and playing and didn't want to leave. My pediatrician referred me to this office and I would also highly recommend them for your pediatric dental needs. read more

My toddler chipped his front tooth and I called Smiley Kidz in a panic. They said they would speak with the doctor and call me back with an appointment for the same day. 5 minutes later they called me back with several options (including having him seen immediately). This dentist is ridiculously expensive - I think $150 for about 20 minutes of attention is outragious!!! There are plenty of excellent dentists out there - I highly suggest you look around. I say this being in the medical field myself. You can do better. They are amazingly enthusiastic while they are picking your pocket. read more
