I never leave…read morereviewa of this nature, however, I need to get this out to let people know what they can expect if using the what I would call floating dentist - i had gone in for an extraction due to uncontrollable pain , not being able to wait on the oral surgeon I was referred as they did not have any available appoint- I was on a short list. finding this place to offer relief from my pain lead me to this - 3 broken teeth, a nightmare of an experience , having to yell for the dentist to stop and having him tell me that my front tooth was broken after I asked about- he broke the teeth on each side of the one he was to extract. Paul Gilmore - the "dentist" will have you looking like this with 3 broken teeth when he is done with you.

Dr. Doug was referred to me by a longtime patient for a crown and he noticed some things that the chain dentists did not. I was about to lose a tooth because of a bad filing from years ago. I've been to Aspen dental twice since that filing and they never noticed that I had a bunch of decay. Long story short he did a very thorough and wonderful job. His office was spotless, staff was amazing too. I highly recommend this place for all your dental needs.

I was told that I would be charged a 50 dollar fee. I decided to stay up after working a twelve hour shift so that I could make the appointment. Upon arrival I was met with a condescending and down right rude attitude from Amy. There was a discrepancy with my insurance, therefore I had my company insurance rep call and he was met with the same level of attitude. After a few minutes of being subjected to her attitude, I decided to cancel my appointment and look for a dentist elsewhere. Based off of her actions alone I will not recommend this office.

Obviously, as a student, my regular dentist was not in Columbia so I had to make a quick decision on a local dentist. A friend of mine recommended Crystal Johnson after she had a cleaning there, so I decided to go for it. Long story short, the filling that had fallen out of my tooth was so large that the tooth could only be repaired by a crown. Dr. Johnson was very nice and informative, and, from what I could tell, was doing a great job with my dental work. I had a pleasant experience at this dental office, despite the fact that I had to pay almost $600 out of pocket for the crown. Fast forward to today, and I have just gone in for my first tooth cleaning since having the crown put on (I know -I was very overdue for a cleaning). The x-rays were the first red flag, as you can see a very visible crack/gap in between my real tooth and the crown. Upon closer examination, the dentist explained that there are several issues with the crown and none of these issues could have been something I caused myself. He explained that he does not usually get involved in cases like this, but this was clearly "faulty dental work." I now need to have the crown replaced, only 2 short years after it was put on. I have reached out to Crystal Smiles several times over the phone, and have sent a fax (they do not have an email address published online) with the x-rays demonstrating the issues with the crown. I have gotten no response. If you require any dental procedures other than a tooth cleaning, I would not recommend this office. I will be paying $600 out of pocket again to have their dental work corrected.

Their effort to confirm my appointment was a phone call to my answering machine the day before at 8:36 with a deadline for confirmation of noon that same day! Really! I was given 3 hours and 24 minutes to respond to their call or lose the appointment I had been counting on for 2 months. I was busy that morning with a haircut appointment and grocery shopping and was unable to retrieve or respond to their call. I also had another appointment in the afternoon. Their website requests at least 48 hours notice for cancellations, but they offer only 3 hours and 24 minutes to cancel me! I think it's a lousy business practice! They need to post this cancellation information on their bills and scheduling documents, so customers know ahead of time that they may lose their appointments after less than 4 hours notice!

I was required by my company during my annual physical to be examined by a dentist in order to deploy overseas. I had recently undergone a root canal in Saudi Arabia. During my exam, Dr. Jones realized the material used was not up to US standards, so she had to redo my root canal and do a restoration and crown. She also filled a couple of cavities and fixed a chipped front tooth. I had a cleaning done the next day. Nothing but praise from me. Everyone at the practice was very welcoming and made me feel at ease. They even worked their scheduling magic to get all my appointments to work with my schedule.
