This is your typical diner place, what you see is what you get, no impossible meat or chicken/turkey sausage options for breakfast. You can order pancakes, omelettes/eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits, and gravy, grits, bacon, sausage, ham, cup of Joe, and OJ. The staff are busy, busting each table with a small smile in hard-working attitude. You'd expect them to call you, hon, sweetheart, or get your order right sweetie. That decor/atmosphere is diner in Oklahoma feels. Breakfast is not served all day from 7 AM to 10:30 AM so we ran quickly and got there at 10:20 to order our veggie omelette with biscuits and gravy and an order short stack, and a cup of Joe. I was given the side eye when I was trying to mix my protein shake so remember this is Oklahoma not bougie or upscale healthy food vibes. They do serve lunch, which it quickly switched over at 10:30 only food I saw from then on out was lunch burgers and etc.. We asked a local word to eat, and this was basically the only place they said to come. You see yourself the waitress brings your menu then you just order, sit and chat then foods brought to you then you pay at the counter. I'd definitely come back. Smith Good Eats is a family friendly diner with GREAT BREAKFAST!!! Food came out hot and QUICK!!! Service was friendly, prompt, and very knowledgeable. We had short stack (the pancakes are HUGE!!!) with crispy bacon and grits, and the egg plate combo that included a delicious homemade biscuit (one of the best I've ever had!!) hash browns, and small gravy. Really nice spot for lunch in Broken Bow. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had several cups of good coffee with our sandwiches. I posted a couple pictures of the menu, hoping it would be useful. Food was delicious. Restaurant and rest rooms were clean. Place was busy, glad to see that the word has spread about this place. We stopped here for lunch on our way to the new Choctaw Landing in Hochatown. It's a cute little place with a good menu with plenty of comfort food choices. When we entered, we were told we could sit anywhere we wanted. The waitress we had was nice and friendly. The food was hot, fresh and very good. Horrible service by the waitress with the black bob. I waited over 30 minutes for food while 5 tables around me who ordered after with large orders received their food but no burger for me. That's fine. I'll take my business elsewhere and so I did and went to Chicken Express. They will not get my hard earned dollars. read more

Came in for breakfast. It was just so so so greasy. I didn't know eggs could be made THAT greasy. Same with the hash browns . neither were very edible. Pancakes were big and bland. My stomach is definitely paying for the grease with the few bites I had. I have to remove a star because everyone ended up with diarrhea later that day and my child was doubled over in stomach cramps.... it was the only meal we had the entire day. please lay off the grease. read more

Visiting Broken Bow OK and Yelp recommended this place for lunch. They are open for breakfast and lunch only and close at 2pm. We got there about 1:15 and they were busy. Lots of to go orders and customers at tables, but we were able to get a seat right off. Waitress was right there with menus. Took our drink orders. You can get breakfast for lunch if you want, but I went with the Jalapeno Burger Basket. Burger with cheese and fried jalapenos, lettuce, toma, onions, pickles. I went with mustard on mine. Now with the word basket I was thinking fries, but she asked if chips were OK. Sure. Maybe this close to closing they were out of fries. My lunch buddy got the Alan Basket. It's a double patty burger with all the fixings and he got fries so IDK not upset over it. The burger was delicious as was the Alan burger. Freshly made patty, fresh bun. Like I mentioned we got there 45 minutes before closing and we had been served and were done before they closed and we're not fast eaters. Well staffed. Everyone was moving around they knew what their jobs were and they did them. You won't be disappointed. Couple of things to note. The bathroom is a single and will be used by everyone. We didn't get our check delivered to the table. I asked our server and was told to just go to the register to pay. read more

This was the first time I had fried pickles coupled with fried jalapeños, and honey let me tell you...THEY DID THAT! What a perfect duo of spice and tang! My kind of party. One to share with your group makes a great appetizer. My fam ate every last one and were satisfied. 3 out of 4 of us ordered their catfish which was tasty. I only wish the strips weren't so thin, because I definitely could have eaten a couple more of those bad boys. Service was good, but I felt rushed in the beginning. I get it, they're used to regulars knowing what they want, but I was a newbie who needed a few more minutes to decide. Dessert is based on the day but sounds good on the menu. We were in Broken Bow for the weekend and decided to try Smith Good Eats for breakfast. Y'all, it was delicious. I had the loaded hash browns and my wife had pancakes, eggs and bacon. We also decided to split some biscuits and gravy. It was just a perfect southern home breakfast. Also, the place was sparkling clean. Such a great experience. As many years as we've been coming here we've never, EVER, gotten anything less than absolutely delicious. Those people know what they are doing and know how to cook. The food is always fresh and the help is always on their toes. You won't find better food in McCurtain County. The only downside is they close at 2. Hate that. read more

They have the Chicken Strip lunch a lot and I use to wonder why, until I tried it. It is not the chicken strip you think. These are 2 half breast. With mashed potato's and the best country gravy, Home made Ranch dressing and a side salad that is so fresh with grated cheese, tomato's, mixed greens, corn, (not canned) and a soft, fresh yeast roll. I've tried just about everything and I've NEVER had a bad experience or meal. These people know what they are doing. Oh, and don't get me started on the desserts. Just ask what they are serving that day and get it. You won't be disappointed. read more

We are located in the exact spot that the old Huttle Restaurant was located years ago. There have been several different types of eaterys located here. It came up for sale last Fall in 2014 and here we are.

I have been in the food industry for 26 years, beginning at Beavers Bend Restaurant working with my aunt who owned the business from 1998-2012. You wont see me "dressed to the nines" but you WILL see me with my ticket book from front of the dining room to the kitchen. We are a family run business and our goal is to provide a friendly and enjoyable eating atmosphere.
