I went to the northwell smith institute of urology at garden city yesterday for a uti issue. The Hispanic nurse dropped an empty urine collection container on the bathroom floor. I requested a new container. The Hispanic nurse pointed to the cup and said the container was already labeled and I had to use the contaminated cup and refused to give me a new cup. I was forced to use that cup. When providing the urine sample, the contaminated cup made contact with my skin and private parts. I was panicking and then entered the exam room and the Hispanic nurse checked my vitals. My blood pressure was 160 over 95 and pulse was 110. this nurse did not seem concerned about the very high blood pressure and pulse rate. She did not wear gloves nor alert any of the staff regarding the vitals. I went to see dr Cole for evaluation for issues from uti and pain on the right side. This doctor did not lay a finger on me to physically examine me despite I tell him swelling and pain. He should have examined me to see if the issue is urgent or related to a different organ. I was then asked for a second urine sample since the initial urine was not enough. This same nurse sarcastically and condescendingly gave me the cup and told me don't worry there is no issue with this cup. After leaving the office I was freaking out because i think I may have contracted something from the contaminated cup. My son called two urgent care centers and they advise that we call the northwell office for advice. My son called the northwell center 3 separate times 20 minutes apart and they said an on call physician will reach out to us. As of this writing is over 24 hours and there is no call from them. Please be aware as This may be happening to other patients or the supplies dropping on floors and this nurse reusing them without their knowledge. Please be aware of this office due to female employee endangering my mother's health. I went to Dr Adam Cole with my mother on 8/20 to the smith institute of urology at garden city. I can only describe this female as Hispanic and as a nurse or tech as the office staff refused to provide me her name or title. This was a female Hispanic employee who took my mother to the bathroom for a urine sample. This lady dropped the empty urine container on the bathroom floor contaminated the cup. My mother asked for a new clean cup, this lady refused and pointed to the cup and said it was already labeled and she had to use it. My mother used the cup and it touched her private parts, she was experiencing a panic attack. She entered the exam room shaking her hands uncontrollably and that female employee took her vitals which indicated she was stressed and had a panic attack. This employee did not seem concerned nor alert the office staff regarding the vitals. My mother then saw Adam Cole who did not seem interested in examining her or talking. He did not lay a finger on my mother to physically examine my mother even though she complained about pain right side. He should have examined her to assess if the pain is from kidney, pancreas, appendix pr something else. He also did not want to explain what the ct scan was for and what it shows. He requested more urine sample from my mom. This female Hispanic employee then sarcastically gave my mother a new cup and said don't worry there is nothing wrong with the cup with a weird look. I was standing in front of the exam room and noticed a different employee rushing to get some stuff from the supply closet and picked up an item from the floor. Instead of discarding the dropped item, she took it with her with the rest of the items. It appears that this office does not follow health protocols and endangering the health of patients as the people use dropped items instead of discarding them. My mother and I went home and she was panicking and crying throughout the day and night until this writing asking why this happened to her and why the female employee didn't give her a clean cup. I called the office after hours 3 times leaving messages with answering representative and did not hear back from the on call physician. Next day, an employee from Northwell called and refused to provide me the female Hispanic name and title and said in a rude way I am not giving you the name of my staff. I was then transferred to a nurse who basically said what is wrong with something dropping on the bathroom floor and I was frustrated and told whatever was on the floor got transferred to my mothers body and she cut me off several times and transferred me to another person. As of this writing, my mother did not get an accurate diagnoses from this office, did not get physically examined by physician, was exposed to health hazard due to the female Hispanic employee dropping the cup, and she has panic attacks and nightmares ever since. I am writing this here since I suspect there will be no action taken at all Given that I don't know any of the names of employees I talked to nor the female employee who caused this whole mess. As of this writing I did not receive any info if this employee will be disciplined or removed from the job. As for the doctor, who doesn't physically examined a patient who is complaining of pain? I think I'll go to a real doctor in the city instead of these incompetent people here in the boondocks ..you can NEVER reach a doctor..the only number they give you is the main number where all you can do is leave a message! A medical center where doctors don't have their own phone or office? So you have to wait until they call you...here's hoping you get brain cancer . read more

Drs are great!! The ppl who answer the phones are horrible and disrespectful . It took every thing in me not to curse them broads out. Just knowing I have to talk to them causes so much stress to me ! More stress than an actual procedure! read more

In the heat of the moment I posted a very negative review. Yes my Dr was an hour late and yes he should have acknowledged that when he came into the room. I voiced my displeasure and he explained that his earlier patient required more time. He took his time with me and was very thorough. Dr. Moldwyn is tops in his field especially pelvic pain and that is why I continue to go to him read more

I went to see Dr. Tricia Greene for some urinary issues I was having based on the recommendation from Northwell staff that this was her specialty. I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time in the waiting room and then another 30 minutes in the exam room just for the doctor to come in. When she did eventually come, she was very quick and abrupt, like she was in some kind of race to get the appointment over with. I had surgery a few months ago, which I informed her of before she started the physical examination, but she still handled me very roughly, to the point I was in pain and had to tell her to stop because she was hurting me (and I'm still in pain a week later due to her lack of care). I explained my problem to her and she ordered an ultrasound done while I was there. When the ultrasound didn't show any obvious problems, she was extremely dismissive of my issue and all of my concerns and told me several times there was nothing she could do and to deal with it. She tried telling me my problem was normal, even though it's something I never had an issue with before in my life, and explained it was a common problem for people in their seventies, which makes no sense because I'm in my early thirties and way too young to have this kind of a problem. She literally got carried away explaining some medical conditions that do not apply to me or are none of my concern. She was really confusing me with all this irrelevant information. I'm only there to get my issue resolved. She offered to do a completely unnecessary procedure (which she even admitted most likely wouldn't show anything) that would cause me a lot of pain. How can this doctor be a "specialist" when she has no alternative ideas about what could be causing the problem ? Telling a patient who is suffering from a condition they never had before that there's nothing you can do or suggest, is not right. You're the doctor, not me. That's why people go to you, because you should know how to treat them, and if for some reason you can't help, you do not just act dismissive to their problem and make them feel helpless and hopeless. The issue does not just go away when the appointment is over just because you don't want to deal with it and help. While I was there, I also tried to ask her about dry skin I was having in only that area. She completely blew me off saying she wasn't a dermatologist and to not ask her about that, and said it's probably either being caused by too much masturbation or rough sex ! (Neither of which did I tell the doctor at any point that I did do, she just made this incorrect assumption up !) She wouldn't even look at the pictures on my phone that I had taken when the skin looked especially dry. I've honestly never met a doctor this rude, insensitive and abrupt in my entire life ! She has the bedside manner of a cold fish and is 100% more concerned about making money off as many patients as she possibly can, than she cares about the welfare of them. This is not the first time I have had horrible experiences with doctors at Northwell. And whenever they don't know how to treat you or what to do, they just start pointing fingers at each other and say that's not my specialty, you would need to see this doctor instead. It's like being on a merry-go-round of incompetency at Northwell and it's extremely frustrating and concerning that so many doctors have proven to be so incapable and uncaring when dealing with their patients. read more

Had an appointment with Dr Okeke to do a Eurodynamics test. I had a very large prostate that was wrapped around my urethra plus a bladder that was not squeezing out due to a few diverticuli -weak spots in the wall. My urine retention was so great it was destroying my kidneys. After the test he said the problem is my bladder was not working and it would be a waste of time to perform surgery on my prostate and the solution was to self Catherize 4 times a day for the rest of my life. I'm 77. I ran out of there. Two weeks later I had a bipolar TURP done by Dr. Faiella in Garden City and I am voiding like a 20 year old. My bladder is doing what bladders do. My kidney function is much better. No thanks to Okeke. I was very close to renal failure. read more

I do not recommend this place or Dr Michael Schwartz. Back in December I went to see Dr Schwartz for evaluation of my kidney stones. He ordered an ultrasound and actually called me the day after the results were in. I was initially very impressed. He recommended a CAT scan, which he said could wait until April or May. I called the office the beginning of April to get the CAT scan set up. Apparently they spoke to him, and he ordered the CAT scan very promptly. So far everything was going very well. I then had the CAT scan and expected to receive a call to discuss the results. There never was a call. I called the office several times and also sent an email inquiring of the doctor or someone to get back to me. No one ever got back to me. To me this is extremely unprofessional and poor management. I never would have had the CAT scan if there was not going to be any follow up. So, I am now looking for a new doctor and new hospital for treatment.. By the way, I am actually a medical provider, who sees about 30 patients a day in my office. If I didn't follow up on my patients' test results, I wouldn't be in business.. The front office staff and the people who take appointments on the phone are rude, nasty, miserable, flippant, uncaring have an attitude and are extremely unhelpful because they just don't care and management doesn't care enough to fix this problem either. I have been there several times in the past and went for the first time in years yesterday. My appointment was for 1:30 and I didn't see a doctor until almost 3:00. This is the norm. Be prepared to wait. And wait. I was having sitting pain and asked to move into an exam room to lie down and wait for my appointment rather than to sit in the waiting room and was straight away told that there were no rooms available to accommodate my needs and I was offered no help. I then said straight out I needed assistance because I needed to lie down and she said she'd call a nurse. 20 minutes went by and luckily I found a couch where I could recline. I went back to the receptionist and asked her what happened and she said, "Oh, the nurse never came out." Making an appointment there is a nightmare too. They will tell you that the earliest you can see a doctor like Moldwin is usually 3 months out. I told them I was in a lot of pain and the earliest appointment they had for his associate was a week and a half away. I asked to have a supervisor to call me and never was contacted. I have complained numerous times to management and doctors there to inform them how rude and uncaring the front office is to no avail. You have been amply warned! read more
