I'm not suggesting it was the one negative review, as it was 2 star not 1 and their personal experience. It's just an odd algorithmic decision by Yelp. Whatever the case may be, it prompted my to write a review. And I don't like to write reviews. Dr. Cerven is sorely missed. She was wonderful. But Dr. Gore has done a wonderful job taking over the practice. As far as I understand he was personally selected by Dr. Cerven. He similarly embraces technological advances in dental care. I'd wager he hired her staff, which makes the prior review unfortunate. Perhaps it was bad timing or a new hire. The office cares for a 91 year old female in our home who would not settle for rudeness. I briefly moved from Granite Falls for work, retaining our family home, and when I returned I was thankful to return to our dentist here. It made me appreciate what we had. I've had assistance with my TMJ in addition to standard dental care.

We've gone back for several appointments since and every time they are so gentle with my Mom who is very anxious and has Alzheimer's. Monica and Dr. Aljuboori have been so patient with my Mom. They were able to get her to relax enough to do a full lower extraction today. Dr. Aljuboori said she was treating my Mom as if it were her Mom and it is very evident. And they have been treating every patient with the same kindness. My Mom has a new cute smile now and we couldn't be happier. Also a shoutout to the front office staff. The hygienists are always friendly and gentle while working in my mouth. I can hardly tell they are doing anything. I have never had any pain or felt them being too rough. They also explain things very well and give good advice and recommendations. I see Dr. Christopher Perez and I completely trust him. He does great work and is quick. Before coming to Camano Island Dental a few years ago, I had seen a different dentist who had done two fillings along my lower gum line where the enamel had broke off two of my teeth. Not even 6 months had passed and both fillings had popped off. Dr Perez replaced both of the fillings and when my insurance came back and refused to pay for them (because I had just had them done 6 months prior) Dr. Perez told the lady at the front desk to go ahead and just take care of it for me. Wow, now that is caring service and that is one of the many reasons I continue to be a patient. I recommend Camano Island Dental to anyone in the area who is looking for a friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy dentist office. After getting stitches at urgent care, Dr. Cho and two of his team members got me in after hours to begin the repair process. He was able to remove one tooth and put in some cadaver bones, and shave the other two down. They were able to order me a temporary tooth until I'm able to get a full transplant matching my tooth color. He also was able to get me an additional appointment within 36 hours for the crowns needed on my other teeth. Addressing my injury aside, Dr. Cho was a calming and gentle presence in a very traumatic time. He worked with my husband and I on insurance and billing, answered all our questions and talked us through the process. We are extremely thankful!

The technician was very careful to be gentle and very thorough. I liked that Dr. Chambi actually came in and finish cleaning my teeth and discussed daily routine and why certain things were important during certain times of day.
