I cannot thank Dr. Cho and his team enough! I had a very traumatic fall busting open my chin, completely shattering a tooth, and fracturing two others. After getting stitches at urgent care, Dr. Cho and two of his team members got me in after hours to begin the repair process. He was able to remove one tooth and put in some cadaver bones, and shave the other two down. They were able to order me a temporary tooth until I'm able to get a full transplant matching my tooth color. He also was able to get me an additional appointment within 36 hours for the crowns needed on my other teeth. Addressing my injury aside, Dr. Cho was a calming and gentle presence in a very traumatic time. He worked with my husband and I on insurance and billing, answered all our questions and talked us through the process. We are extremely thankful! read more

I've been a patient at DDS dental for 3 1/2 years and I'm moving, so sadly I'll have to find a new dentist. The dental hygienists are wonderful. Dr. Amy treated me each time and was great about explaining things. The biggest thing I appreciated is that they don't over treat. I was told at another dental office that I needed about 18 skin grafts because my gums are receding. It would have costed more than $7000 plus a lot of pain! Dr. Amy each time has told me I have only 3 to be concerned about and all I need to do is just be gentle in my brushing. I completely trust DDS Dental! I'm just sorry I have to find a new one when I move across the country! read more

Very poor experience with them today. 1. When I booked my appointment I clearly asked if I can do the dental cleaning on my first visit here even though I am making a 4 pm appointment. After my x rays the dentist then said the cleaning cannot be done today because they have to close by 5 and it was 430 already. 2. The dentist mentioned to me that we rarely do cleaning on the first visit so there is disconnect or people taking the appointment are not aware of their own dental practices. 3. The next appointment I got for my cleaning was 2 weeks later which is inconvenient. Ideally the dentist should have said hey we are sorry with our miscommunication to you and will do the cleaning today. I really would not have mind staying after 5. 4. I was given a HIPAA paper with another hospitals name which I refused to sign. This place needs to get its basic things right. It's hard to trust a place with your health care needs when they don't get the basic things right. read more

I'm super biased, the dentist is a friend. However he's the best dentist Ive ever had. No one likes going to the dentist, especially when they whip out that huge needle with Novocaine and waive it in front of your face like the interrogation droid from star wars. I can literally hear the "whah whah whah" from the droid when I see one of those needles coming. The dentist Mike is the best I've seen in using one of those. Doesn't hurt nearly as much. Yes yes yes, they are all about the cuddly, professional, friendly fluff too. But most important hes the first dentist where I didn't hear the interrogation droid coming near when it was time for the local anesthetic. read more

I hate dentists. I'd go so far to say I have the "avoid at all costs unless something obviously bad is going on" kind of dentist anxiety. For the first time in as long as I can remember, I've found a dentist I'm comfortable going to, that will tell me straight up what's going on, that won't guilt me about what I should be doing etc.. Both my husband and I had some major issues, Dr Mike took great care of us. He and his Office Manager, Heidi, explained how all of the insurance would apply and were happy to work with us on timing to ensure everything worked on our behalf. All of their staff is great and I truly enjoy going into their office (that's a big deal for me). My wife sung high praise for DDS Dental after her appointment with Dr. Amy Lee and crew, so I decided to go as I needed a tooth extracted. I can certainly see why my wife had many good words when speaking of DDS Dental. The staff and dentists are polite, the office and rooms are immensely clean and cozy and they're great at working in a new patient such as myself. After my most recent trip (the extraction), I can also sing high praise for DDS Dental as well. Things were explained at a high level for what my extraction would be like, and more in-depth questions were happily answered as I posed them. My worries about getting enough numbing (like my father, I'm rather resistant to the numbing shots) were addressed by Dr. Amy Lee and she and her crew were able to adjust the 'battle plan' accordingly. Also, this was the best application of the shots I've ever experienced. No one likes 'the pinch', but I barely noticed them, and was numb in record time too! DDS Dental was thorough in their work and they also followed through, making sure I got the proper after care (antibiotics and such) as well as understood what to expect. This extraction was to start the process of getting an implant. The practice also did not pressure me to choose an implant over a bridge. They explained the pros and cons of both, the costs, and the timeline. The rest was left up to me. It felt like I had a say in my dental care and we just weren't ticking boxes, allowing me to make what I felt was an informed decision. I am ashamed to say that I have not taken the greatest care of my teeth through the days. After having some bad luck with the last few dentists that I visited I was referred to Dr. Mike. What a great guy...besides the fact that he prominently displays USC Trojan gear around the office. He went right to work on my teeth and offered up options and explained what he was doing and thinking. He did not talk down to me about my teeth, he knew they were in bad shape and so did I. He was very attuned to my pain level and he and his staff were pleasantly accommodating to reduce any discomfort. Dr. Mike, Heidi and the rest of his staff are absolutely amazing! I have had some tramatic dental experiences in the past and of course was nervous going to see any dentist. I had a chipped front tooth and also needed a cleaning. I called the office and spoke with Heidi who was friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to get on the schedule on a day that worked with my work schedule. When I arrived I was greeted by the staff who was warm and welcoming and all had smiles on their faces. (this is always a good sign to me). After being seen, Dr. Mike determined that I would need a crown on my cracked tooth. I had some cosmetic things I wanted done and figured that this may be the time to do it. Dr Mike helepd me come up with a plan that would be the most cost effective to get the results I was looking for. The day I came in for the major part of the work I was very nervous. I talked to Dr. Mike and told him how I was feeing and he was very gentle and I could tell he really cared about how I was feeling. Him and his Assistant were very midful through my whole apointment of how I was doing and letting me know what they were doing each step of the way. The Netflix that were available to watch helped as well. The experience and the results of the work I had done, far exceded my epectations. I started seeing Dr. Mike 2 years ago and love him and his team! I am not a fan of going to the dentist, but Dr. Mike and his staff make you feel really comfortable and at home. They are very friendly and seem to genuinely care not only about your teeth, but also how you've been since your last visit. It's personal, rather than just another patient. My husband came down with what he called "a toothache". Upon my inspection, I saw the hole side of his face was hot and swollen and he had a huge abscess on his gum. I can't even remember the last dentist he went to,so in a panic, I started searching yelp for help! Seeing the millions of dental offices in our immediate neighborhood but they were rated poorly, not at all or had 1 review, possibly by the dentist himself. I widened my search in sheer panic and came across DDS and Dr. Mike. Okay, so his office is 15 miles away, I have to pass 3,836,419 dentists to get to his office but he has 4 stellar reviews on yelp, one quick click to his website, I see that I can request an appointment, request a time, even explain the issue and urgency (by now it's 9:00 PM, my husband is near tears in pain, I'm half afraid he's going to die of an Advil and Tylenol overdose). After speaking to my husband at 9:00 am, I called the office. They had just opened, after feeling slightly stalker-ish, I explained I had requested an appointment, it's an emergency, They said they could see him at 1:00, hearing my hesitation, my husband really didn't want to leave early they said they could see him at 6:00. SWWEEEETTT!! They had all their paperwork online so I could fill it all out, fax it over so my husband didn't have to worry, perfect! My husband's biggest fear of the day: they'd give him antibiotics, possibly pain meds, and send him on his way, saying they couldn't do anything until the infection was gone. Well, part of his biggest fear came true. Dr. Mike did prescribe antibiotics and pain meds and sent him on his merry way, but it was AFTER Dr. Mike took the time to pull his tooth (it just HAD to be done, no saving this one!) and get rid of the abscess. I get off work later than my husband, even leaving early and racing up to Marysville from office in Kirkland, I walked in just in time to catch the "what happens now" consultation. Dr. Mike took the time to back track, show me the X-rays, explain what he did and why, and went over the after care instructions with me. What struck me most about Dr. Mike was how much of a "real person" he is. He is very funny, in a light, easy going way, he instantly makes you feel at ease, like an old friend. He comes across as very passionate about his job without judgement on his patients, no long lectures about how my husband should have come in YEARS ago, no lectures on bad habits, just acceptance and "okay, your smoke, if your going to smoke, make sure, while this is healing, you smoke like this...". SERIOUSLY?!? A kind, funny, down to earth, realistic dentist with no condescending lectures?!? He's the dentist you really feel like you can tell him, honestly, all your bad habits, and he's not going to judge, he WANTS to HELP you and actually CARES about every single patient who comes in. Checking out... Ms. Heidi (it is Heidi, right? With all of the excitement of the day, I may have her name wrong, but I will be sure to double check and correct myself if I am wrong), She is just as amazing as Dr. Mike! She knows all the patients, and the playful, fun banter between her and Dr. Mike, and the other patients puts everyone at ease. She is just as passionate about her job as Dr. Mike and you can tell she could work in any dental office, but chooses to work with Dr. Mike. That alone is a HUGE complement to Dr. Mike, competent staff is vital, someone who is competent, knowledgeable, fun, and chooses to work where she's at says two VERY important things to me. #1. Dr. Mike is a great dentist, a great employer, and an even better person #2. She is just as invested in the patients, practice, and passionate about her job as he is. The whole office comes across as caring, easy going, but very passionate about their jobs. If you love your job, you never work a day in your life, and they love their jobs. I sent my husband home to start his recovery process and was checking out for him, happily paying the small amount that insurance didn't cover and decided that this was my entire family's new dental office. With the theory of "it's easier to do a tune up than replace the entire motor" I was on board to schedule my husband's next appointment, this one just a routine check up with a cleaning and x rays, while I'm at it, let's get me and the three kids in too. It really struck me that neither Dr. Mike, nor Heidi had pressured us about seeing him again soon, there was no pressure to schedule the next appointment. When I asked Dr. Mike when he HAD to see my husband again, he said something along the lines "oh, you shouldn't have to come in again over that tooth, just make sure to take the antibiotics until they are gone". The attitude of "we are here if and when you need us" makes me WANT to come in. This dental office CARES about YOU AS A PERSON, not how much money they can squeeze out of you until you figure out what they are doing. read more

I have visited many dental offices since I was little. But by far, Dr. Mike's dental office was the best. He was enthusiastic, fun dentist who knew what he was doing. I hate going dental office (who likes it?) And I had to get the root canal n the crown, which usually takes hours n hours of painful waiting time. But Dr. Mike treated my teeth quickly, his staffs were kind. I also was able to watch cable TV when they were treating my teeth, so the time went by even quicker. I grew up with really bad teeth. When I started my dental work after being referred to doctor Mike by a coworker of mine, who was a client of dr. Mike's, my teeth were a mess, weak, falling apart and crooked as an old fence. After many fillings and an extraction my smile is whole again. And I'm on track to getting and even straighter smile. I was sent to DDS with a military dental voucher. I wasn't to sure what to expect, what I wasn't expecting was to be introduced to one of the best dental offices I have had the chance to experience. The receptionist greeted me with a smile and very courteous. The lobby is very clean and has tons of reading material, which is a shame because I have never spent more then five minutes in the lobby after checking in. The dental assistants must really like working there because they always seem in such a good mood. They engage in idle chitchat and seem very attentive to your needs. Doc Cho is a amazing, his work is on point. He took care of my original CAT 3 and submitted a few other problems that weren't in the voucher.
