Dr Smitha Reddy has drastically reduced my pain. She was on point in her diagnosis, and her treatment. After making an appointment and filling out a detailed medical history, I waited nearly an hour before I was shown back to a waiting room. It was clear the Doctor had not read my medical history. Since my previous Rheumatologist had dies unexpectedly a few months earlier, I wanted a new Doctor to essentially continue the medical care I had been receiving for 25 years. Instead, the Dr wanted to order a bunch on unnecessary tests. I was told my prescriptions would be refilled and yet they were never ordered. My wife has been a patient here for over a year and followed every recommendation after her Lupus diagnosis -- meds, labs, imaging, strict diet, everything. Despite this, Dr. Reddy berated, insulted, and humiliated her during a telehealth visit, falsely claiming she hadn't been seen since 2024. Even worse, NONE of her labs, imaging, or visits were in the chart -- a year of care effectively erased. This is gross negligence and a disgrace to the profession. The front desk is equally incompetent: lost referrals, unsent prescriptions, and blatant HIPAA violations. Avoid this office at all cost!!. My father was referred to her by his other Rheumatoid Dr was retiring. Our first initial visit was okay she seemed nice and knowledgable enough tho she ended taking my dad off all medication (mind you he has severe rheumatoid arthritis and at the time he was 81 I believe, it was a very painful experience for him granted we relied upon her experience and guidance. Went thru all bloodwork and CT scans ( I get them mixed up) where it was found what she called alittle "speck" on his liver and severly downplayed this. Said in her words "we will keep an eye on it" and then wanted an MRI done months on out to get an appt but again there is no sense of urgency from her at all. My father gets really ill that lands him in hospital where I brought up that "speck" that Dr Reddy found and downplayed, my father is ordered a MRI immediately where it came back a MASS the size of a baseball and it was Cancer of the Liver. My father is then assigned a great team of Cancer Dr's around him and for 8 months beats the cancer. Then we head back to get my dad back on Humira for his Rheumatoid arthritis with Reddy and because he had all labs and all work with her he figures that this would be the fasted way to help him get back on his medicine and tries to downplay the fact that she completely botched up the "speck" incident in the first place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It takes another month to get in with her which we get a her PA instead of her and tho she is very nice, we explained how much pain he was in and his Cancer Team of Drs okayed him getting back on Humira.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The PA orders it makes an appointment for him to come back in office to get the shot but he needs a TB test and more blood work granted his office doesn't clairify that the TB test has to be done by his Primary and the blood work clinic doesn't do this kind of test. We get everything done ready to go back to her office, where they cancel his appointment where we were going back thinking he was getting his shot. I then pull over and leave message with her office to call me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She returns my call later that with her curt, rude way of speaking to me instead of listening she begins to make up excuses for the numerous mishaps from her and her office, holds us hostage because my father is so far in with her and her office with labs, blood work, his chart that he did not want to start over with another Dr.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I concede we go get a TB test yet another 2/3 weeks of pain for my father. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My father gets a call from Dr Reddy's office that Humira is not approved, my dad fights it and gets it approved we then wait yet again for another appt in the meantime where in her defensive, rude, arrogant and condescending way she prescribes him another prescription (pill form) ontop of the prednisone he is taking... it takes 3 days to get this.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dad starts taking this has an adverse reaction within 2 days of which I told him to stop taking it upon reading side effects. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On Monday Nov 3 we went to yet another appt with Reddy, clearly late again to experience her rudeness she will not answer my question that I was trying to ask her for the 5th time because she was explaining to us like fifth graders that the insurance because it's Medicare did not authorize Humira but a substitute "like Humira" I asked in your experience out of these two drugs that his insurance did approve which one would she choose for my dads case... she wouldn't answer then said it was up to the PHARMACIST, The pharmacist who is not my father's Dr.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then suppressing my anger I asked her can he take this drug along with the prednisone (I asked her 5 times) she wouldn't answer me. The star is about Dr. Reddy. She was over an hour late for my first appointment. I walked out of my last appointment because she was 40 minutes late. All the appointments between, she was late. The later she was, the shorter my appointment and less I was able to speak. To make things go fast, she interrupts. As with most of the people I see in the waiting room, I get rides to doctor appointments. My ride will no longer take me to appointments at Dr. Reddy's office because he, too, is tired of waiting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Getting a prescription filled usually takes a follow up phone call reminder.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a year, several proposed diagnoses that changed per visit, multiple ultrasounds, and dozens of blood tests, still nothing in stone. With Kendall and Patrick, if I showed up early, I was seen early and often out even before my scheduled time. And they were always good for answering questions. read more

My first appointment the doctor was 40 minutes late and I walked out. It costs thousands and the promised "free" supplements etc never materialised. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No one answers the phone - I have seen notes posted on the walls in the back office saying "do not answer the phone" - wth is that all about?? Calls are not returned[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I have the requested bloodwork done and no appointment to discuss the results. It is extremely obvious that Dr Reddy is only interested in making money so the Rheumatology side of her business is of no importance or interest to her. I paid a lot of money and never received one supplement that I was promised. I have subsequently discussed her with other doctors who have all heard the same thing about her so she obviously does not have a good name medically and that screams volumes. So disappointing and appalling. It is also the most disorganised practice out there - no one knows their arse from their elbow. Anything promised by Dr Reddy never happens - NEVER. May be Dr Reddy is a brilliant physician and of course she means well and wants to keep her patients healthy and aafe. Her clinic operations are abhorrent. They moved offices and they didn't notify us of their new address. We showed up at the old address, they didn't have just a simple sheet of paper stuck on the door notifying people of the new address. Called several times, no answer, missed the appointment of course now we have no medication. No one called me back to make a new appointment. Do not waste your time or money to be seen there. No medication is putting my mom in danger of a fracture so turns out be very bad patient care. They get one star because yelp won't let you put zero stars. Stay away so you can stay healthy. I was at scripps and they stopped giving me my medication after I had numerous site infections from IV treatment. I felt like I was always in the same place sick and irritable then I found doctor reddy and I got more answers in my short months of seeing her then I did in my 8 years going to scripps. She's also helped me get my pain in control more so I have more good days then bad now. She's kind and easy to talk to plus jolene is amazing whatever you need she'll help you get or if you have any questions she responds quickly. read more

BEST RHEUMATOLOGIST EVER!!!! I am extremely pleased with Dr. Reddy. She's intelligent, thorough, caring and informative. I've seen 2 previous Dr's none can hold a candle to Dr Reddy. She observed that I am weak in examining my hands. She's doing a lot of blood tests. She informed me that prednisone is beneficial for lupus symptoms but due to the fact that prednisone weakens bones she advised me to take less prednisone and she will come up with other medications as needed. I'm impressed. As a black woman we by nature have strong bones but to take a medication that weakens bones is not safe. Dr Reddy does not want me to end up with bone fractures. I HATE that I have lupus especially since I'm 60 years old being diagnosed. At least with an outstanding Dr. I know we will navigate this unfortunate illness with intelligence and solutions that work best for me. Dr Reddy is a prize! read more

I have been trying to get an appointment with dr. reddy for going on a month. I got my referral may 11,2023. I have since spoken only with a jazmin, who she has not gotten a referral. I have since called my Dr. and my insurance who have repeatedly resent referrals. this jazmin keeps saying she will call me back. This is now June 2,2023 , no calls. I had an amazing experience with this office yesterday. My mom had a sudden onset of Debilitating pain where she can't move or walk. She had to be transported via a gurney to her appointment. When I called to schedule they were able to get her scheduled right away. When we came in for the appointment they were so kind and accommodating. The staff is amazing. I am so thankful I found Dr. Reddy and her staff, what a team she has. I owe my life literally to Dr. Reddy, In 2015 my medical problems begun, I had multiple spine surgery and a whole lot more, but i was not healing and in so much pain. In I think it was 2017, my surgeon recommended me to see Dr. Ready and I did. Dr. Reddy knew the right tests to run, no one had even asked me to do. Her findings, showed what was causing my non healing pain correctly. Besides all the chronic arthritis all over my body. The findings lead me to findings out what I had, without medical treatment, I would be dead in three years. I am still here and doing very well. The treatment Dr. Reddy, ordered and ultrasound, that helped diagnose these issues. She put me on Cosentyx one injection a month after a four week course. The team works so hard, to make sure you get what you need. I thank everyone at the practice/clinic for saving my life. A little longer would be understandable. The first appointment I had in Chula Vista was on time. The second appointment I had in Poway was nearly 2 hours late. Both my husband and I missed our next two appointments and my toddler was crying. This is unacceptable. My third appointment in Poway is the one that I was referring to. I have just started seeing Dr Reddy in February 2022 and I have to say the whole office has been great! Jolene the office manager and all the office staff have been very helpful and patient from my first phone call to set up my initial appointment to my actual appointments. Kendall the PA listens and is smart, thoughtful and kind. And my appointments with Dr Reddy have been a welcome relief, not only does she possess the same attributes as Kendall, I feel like I found someone who cares. She listens and has taken my history of RA treatment and other medical issues into account and is starting from there, not just pushing the usual treatment agendas. I was so happy with my first encounter with Dr Reddy that I called my husband from the car because I couldn't wait to get home. I have been seeing Dr Reddy for years and Highly recommend her. I see her for a number of conditions that includes arthritis, but she also helps to treat me for an auto-immune diseases, chronic back & neck pain & chronic tendinitis. I found Dr Reddy after many failed attempts to find a good doctor to help reduce the use of addictive pain medication I took every day. She provides alternative methods for relief which include injections, the new and latest medications and treatments, nutrition support and more. The most recent treatment has been several rounds of PRP injections in my knee & back. PRP can be very expensive and she is very sensitive to keeping her prices as low as possible. My sister comes from New Jersey to see Dr Reddy for PRP injections. It's hard to believe that these injections have helped me by drastically reducing chronic pain after trying almost every treatment available to me. I am optimistic that the results will have long-term benefits. I've returned to yoga and spin class which will allow me to regain muscle mass and help to stabilize my joints and spine. I'm not reviewing PRP here. I've read that it is not for everyone and I still have to see what the long-term results are. I trust Dr Reddy will let me know if the treatment is right for me moving forward. Jolene,the Office Manager,always goes the extra mile to support my questions and requests. Dr. Reddy is an angel! Went to her for the rheumatoid arthritis I have had since I was 3 years old. Dr. Reddy ordered a MRI and lab work. The MRI indicated the I had a cancer growth on a kidney . Had it not been for Dr. Reddy and her aggressive interest in treating me, it never would have been found. I am so thankful and grateful to her. I tell Dr. Reddy that she is My Angel! I'm not a typical reviewer of people or services but Dr. Reddy literally saved my life. I'd bounced around to several other Dr's trying to find a solution to my Arthritis pain which was worsening. She took the time with me and got me on a life changing treatment. Her Staff is amazing and add a personal touch to her office. Dr. Reddy has been my rheumatologist for over 8 years. She is caring and kind and listens to me. I am seriously upright and walking because of her care. She is open to my concerns and genuinely is interested in my personal well being. I'm fuming! I came in for a follow up appointment today, an appointment which I scheduled 6 months in advance, and the receptionist informed me that I had the choice of paying $10 or $45 for my appointment depending on whether I wanted to use the HMO or PPO portion of my insurance card. I told them I wanted to use HMO. Who would want to pay $45 if their insurance would let them pay $10 as co-pay?! The receptionist then continued to inform me that she just sent a message to my insurance and it would require 24-48 hours before the office receives a reply response. That meant I would have to reschedule my appointment which I booked 6 months in advance! Why couldn't this matter be addressed BEFORE my appointment day? It doesn't make sense! It was a waste of my day and I am pissed that I drove 30 minutes to this appointment when I have a lot of other stuff on my agenda I could have done. I wouldn't have made this such a big deal, but this is not the first time I had insurance issues with this office. I thought I already had this cleared up. By the way, this appointment was supposed to be a follow up for my lab results from 6 months ago because the previous follow up they did not get the lab results in time even though I made sure to do the blood work 1 month before the appointment. NOTHING ever gets done right! See next paragraph. 7 months prior: When I was a new patient scheduling my appointment, they assured me that my insurance would be verified prior to my appointment. As a new patient, I made sure that my primary care doctor sent a referral for me to this office for this doctor. Low and hold, ON my appointment day (which I scheduled 1 month in advance!), the office told me that my insurance had not approved my appointment because there was no referral and the co-pay would be $250 (what the heck?!) for new patients. Mind you I had already called my insurance previous to this appointment and my insurance told me co-pays for specialists were always going to be $10. I told the receptionist that I already verified my insurance myself. The receptionist told me I could either pay $250 now or they will call collections on me. I'm a person who always pays my bills on time, and having just completed my appointment, I felt that it was downright rude to tell me the office would call collections on me when it had only been a few minutes since finishing my appointment with Dr Smitha Reddy. I did give them the benefit of the doubt and paid the $250 on the spot before leaving the office. The very next day the office calls me back and tells me they over charged me by mistake and my co-pay was $10. I asked them how long it would take for them to refund my money. 4-6 weeks they said. 3 months go by without a word from them. I give them a call at the 3 months mark and the receptionist talks to me like I'm trying to steal their money! The receptionist said "we have already sent out all the checks. I'm going to have Dr Smitha Reddy check her bank account. We're not going to resend out your check until we find out if you have already cashed your check." Fine! I call them weekly for the next two weeks. At the two weeks mark they tell me they send out my check. 3 days later the check gets to my house. If I didn't hound them, I would have lost $240! I am seriously considering another doctor because I don't have the patience to deal with the drama this place offers me. Dr Smitha Reddy is awesome, but her receptionist (the same receptionist both times) is intolerable. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Reddy's for 3 years. She is always on top of my health needs and coming up with ideas that fit me. The staff is also very involved in the great care given to their patients. From scheduling and getting insurance auths to being friendly and on top of health issues. I have been under Dr Reddy's care for many year. She saved my life. I was very ill and she found a treatment that my body could tolerate. She is very knowledgeable about cutting edge treatments. She uses a whole-body approach to help you. Jolene, the office manager, and the staff are very friendly and competent. I always receive a call back in an acceptable amount of time. This review pains me to write. I have to first say that Smitha Reddy is an amazing Dr. I appreciate every visit I had with her. I felt that she treated me with kindness and care, I drove monthly if not every two weeks 55 miles one way to see her. The problem with this office is that is very badly managed. The office manager "Joleen" is the problem with this office. I am a 48 year old woman on disability due to chronic rheumatoid arthritis, Sjorgens syndrom, and two horribly swollen knees. I have not had an relief from on my RA for years. My white blood count is still thru the roof. I have been in and out of the emergency room due to complications. Today, I went to see Smitha Reddy and her office refused to see me because I had not paid a fee for a Dr visit I missed to due to a a long stay in the hospital. I asked to speak to the Dr to explain to her that I need to see her right away. I wanted her to understand that the fee they were billing me had been paid and I wanted to make arraingments to discuss further to figure out why they didnt show the payment. But Dr Smitha Reddy refused to see me. Most of them time I get to the Dr my blood pressure is thru the roof and I express my pain. How could a Dr in good conscience do this? This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. From not being able to read my blood pressure to not even trying to do my blood test, to not being able to properly communicate the diagnosis procedures. The lack of expertise coming from the office staff is unbelievable....rude, incompetent and uncaring pretty much sums it up. I am shocked that Dr. is unaware of this situation. If she is, allowing it to continue only enhances her chances of loosing even more patients. read more

Dr. Reddy is an exceptional and compassionate doctor. I had an allergy issue and got a quick follow up call early in the morning from the doctor herself. I find Dr. Reddy to be very thorough in her care and evaluation. I also find the office staff to be accommodating. Jolene, Nurse Abby and the rest of the office are great at getting all your labs, reports and appointments handled. I am lucky to have found this office. The office itself is nice and easy to find as well...Labs can be drawn there which is a plus! read more

This is ridiculous. I will not be going here. I called to make a new patient appointment today and was told they do not have any paperwork in their office and that all paperwork must be done on line. I let her know I was having trouble with my sight and that I'd prefer to do the paperwork in office and she says well you don't really have to read it you just sign. Why in the world would I just sign anything without being able to read it? This la is common sense and is unprofessional. I'll find a practice that is run professionally. read more

Dr. Reddy and her entire staff are so helpful and kind. My boyfriend has had arthritis for a very long time, and I know that he is being taken care of well. The staff keeps me well informed about what resources are available to us, and they seem genuinely interested in his success. They respond in a timely manner, and appointments are quick and painless. They do a very good job of helping us get through a difficult time in our lives. They are all so kind!! read more
