Dr. Arun made the time today to see me on very short notice as a follow-up recommendation from Urgent Care to see Ophthalmology. Although Dr. Arun wasn't the on-call physician today, she saw me early. I am so grateful to her. Additionally, she alleviated my pain and suffering that I had after my Urgent Care visit. Happily, a cancellation opened up a spot for me much sooner. I hurriedly filled out the requisite forms that were emailed to me, very convenient. The office is located in a small medical/business building that, fortunately, has quite a few handicapped parking spots. I was early, lunch time for the office, but was let in to wait which was very nice. I can't say enough of how lovely everyone in this office is. Very nice, accommodating and friendly. I felt very comfortable. I'm also very hopeful Dr. Rivera can help me with my health issues. For now, I am waiting on the results of a blood panel which may determine my diagnosis. Either way, there seems to be options on helping me feel better. Did I mention how wonderful everyone in this office is?

As the medical facility is convenient for where I live I agreed to give him a go. On all occasions that I have been to see Dr Mark Shalauta he has been willing to spend adequate time to explain information to me, listen to any concerns and provide solutions and answers to my questions. He really listens to what you have to say which is a big positive in my book in regards to a doctor. I am so impressed with him that I have changed my daughter over to him from her pediatrician as I was not feeling a connection with that doctor. OMG - when was the last time a doctor spent more than say 5-10 minutes in the same room as you? For me....never. Anyways, without going into the details of all of my crazy medical history (small tidbit: I grew up in a Federally declared toxic dump heap next to a lead smelting plant, battery factories, and lead and mercury tainted soil/drinking water -yippeee!!) I will say that the doctors at this office have shown a lot of compassion and done a great job of addressing my health issues. This is the type of medical treatment that I've been looking for my whole life. Both staff and management has provided expedited resolution for treatment and pharmaceutical situations when I have used the Portal. They have also directly contacted me when I needed assistance.
