This location is difficult to get into as the entrances are close to the intersection. Once in the parking lot little challenging as it is not played out well. Inside the store the layout makes it difficult to find what you need as the isles are not arranged in any orders and some just end into another. I would rather find another store. read more

How many ways does this place suck..... let me count the ways. First and foremost the produce, very poor quality and no selection. Same stuff year in year out. No broccolini, the peppers are withered, and the Yukon potatoes are so old they are sprouting. A bunch of scallions .97 at Walmart .65, 30% cheaper and better quality. This store has crowded isles, the worst self checkout machines I've used in any store and the location is severely hampered by the Starbucks located in the same center causing traffic to backup into Golf course blvd. somewhat understandable if the store was decent. Add to that Smith's prices are high, There's a new albertsons in the area and it's about 100x better them smiths. read more

I use this Smith's for shopping, the pharmacy, and their great bakery! The pharmacy has a drive-thru option that I always use. It is so convenient, and the staff is always incredibly friendly and quick. Also, the real reason for this review is that I wanted to give Becca in the bakery department a huge shout out! I came in to order a custom cake for my brother's 25th birthday, and she delivered! I showed her the SpongeBob meme and she freehanded this cake. She also had it ready for me within two days. Becca, you're an absolute rock star! We will definitely be using the bakery for more events in the future. Thank you for such a great experience! The lay out of this store is very hard to shop. Isles don't go all the way thru. Also the people stocking are totally blocking the isle and are very rude about moving. Finally when I get to checkout I was happy to see customer service checkout had 2 lights on and no lines. That's 1 star. I unload with like items together. Asked cashier at #5 how he was and then politely said I've arranged my items according to bags. He gives me blank stare and frown and says I can't do that they get mixed up going thru. And sure enough he was letting everything thru without any effort. So I proceeded to start to bag myself. He's done and just stands there. No helping for him. Had to ask for him to move things foward so I could reach and continue doing HIS job. Finally a young man comes over to help me. He was friendly polite. Expired food! Last week I used Smiths grocery pickup from the store on McMahon and Golf Course. One of the items I ordered was two tubs of fresh pico de gallo salsa (which should have about a three day shelf life). What they gave me was 20 days past the expiration date. This is from a store who advertises the slogan "fresh for everyone". I attempted to let Smiths know via their app, but apparently they don't pay attention to feedback (the silence is deafening). If you shop in person, check the expiration dates on anything perishable. If you use pickup, good luck! read more

I've lived in many different cities and experienced grocery shopping in just as many stores. There's something about Smith's that is different. This location is right near my home and there are others I can stop at, but this one is great! They do a good job keeping things in stock and fresh. The yellow tag manager's specials rock! I got a wheel of Brie today for $1. The meat department man is always friendly. He's also willing to make recommendations if you need one. Each department is organized and clean. I love that a manager will jump on a cash register if it gets backed up. I've never waited more than 5 minutes to pay for my groceries. Big parking lot and a gas station. I can't recommend the pharmacy only because I've not used it. If you are in the area, stop here rather than going to others in the area. read more

Last Sunday purchased Marie Callendars frozen pie crusts. When I got home BOTH crusts were broken. When I got back to the store all check out lines were down food aisles with customers (Not all check outs were open. )They had no more Callander crusts in stock. Let me start with: This location is my absolute last resort when looking for anything I couldn't find at Walmart. Anytime I've come in, the employees in the produce department act annoyed that you're shopping in the same vicinity of them stocking items. Not sorry that I'm a morning shopper; if it's hindering your ability to stock, why not stock produce before opening? Not to mention, the quality in that department has dropped significantly. Went looking for a hand basket since I didn't need very much, but none were to be found. Thanks to the floral department gal who found them all over at the cashier area, not in the spot where customers first come in to grab carts / baskets. Then... I'm cashing myself out while several employees are hovering around to make sure people are ringing things up properly; in in particular was RIGHT on me. Please stop standing DIRECTLY behind people and looking over their shoulder. When I can extend my arm and reach you without effort, you are far too close. It is the most unsettling feeling for someone with PTSD and makes me incredibly nervous. If you're that concerned over accountability on products being rung up, open more registers. read more

This place has a decent organic selection, which is why I go there. The only complaints I have are on more than one occasion, there is expired food in the shelves or, for example, eggs that expire the next day. How is anyone supposed to use a dozen eggs in one day? MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT LABELS! The other complaint is sometimes the price at the register is not what it stated on the shelf. I usually can get a worker to correct the price for me, but they shouldn't have to. These are signs of poor management. read more

This location just doesn't care. I have had to return packaged produce multiple times. There is never a store manager available. Takes more time than promised if help is needed for self checkout, which always seem to be broken. Never enough registers open. I am normally a fan of Walmart Market down the road on Golf Course, but I happened to be closer to this Smith's on the way home today. I was really impressed with the size, selection, and most of all the atmosphere. It was really open and everything was neat and well stocked and displayed. I found everything I was looking for and more. I especially liked the modern look and the organic/natural food section. This Smith's also has a gas pumps that are competitive with Costco and Sam's. Not to mention they offer fuel rewards when you buy groceries. I found my new grocery store! read more

This particular store is excellent. I love to shop here and the values are great! The staff is always helpful and eager to find a way to satisfy the customer. Today, I purchased most of my groceries for Thanksgiving, and one of my requests was to have my turkey quartered so I could smoke it. I was prepared to have to place an order, pay an up charge, and then return to pick it up. Five minutes after I asked, the butcher had my turkey prepared and wrapped. Selection of all things is diverse, including rare items such as heirloom tomatoes, and rambutans! They also carry a small assortment of lamb, veal, and bison. Their cheese and olive bar has a wide assortment, and there are some really good baked goods as well. read more

Don't bother going to this Smith's location if you use EBT. You will be treated to awful employees rolling their eyes and sometimes even making insulting comments right to your face. No one should have to justify needing assistance with buying food, but Smith's employees seem to think that if you need help, they are justified in acting like you're not worthy of basic human respect. I try to just use the self checkouts to avoid being treated like dogshit, but the people manning the self checkouts are awful as well - *IF* you can find them when the self checkout doesn't work correctly, which happens a lot. It's amazing that a person who is spending money at Smith's (yes, they still get paid the full amount for what I buy) should have to actively avoid the employees and attempt to hide the card they're using from sight in order to not be treated like scum of the earth. read more

I enjoy shopping at Smith's. Just like Albertsons, I do feel like I have to be wary of what I buy at Smith's. Some of their cosmetics, cleaners, hair stuff, and other basic necessities are pretty pricey. But they have good sales. You can find decent produce at many of the locations. I really like the revamp that they've done on a lot of their locations. It's very appealing to the eye. They also have those little bins that you can get things like granola, quinoa, and candies from..just like Sprouts. They have a good cheese and sushi selection, too. I really like that I can earn points at Smith's and get $$ of gas when I go fill up. It's a great idea that my family and I take advantage of. If they had monopoly (like Albertosons), I'd be there ALL the time!! read more

My favorite things is that the prices in the convenience store are the same prices you find in your local Smith's store. We are all too use to inflated prices at all convenience stores, but not here. This is my main grocery store I like to shop at. It is close to my house and on the way home from a lot of things. They seem to have good sales and a good points system which you can use towards the gas station. What really made it for me was their organic/natural foods section. I get most items from this area and then get a few things in the other isles. They also have a good deli meat selection to choose from at the deli. I've been here quite a bit in the last few months and thinking back now, I never remember the lines being super long. There always seems to be a nice flow. I recommend going to this Smith's instead of the one on Golf Course and Paseo del Norte. I don't think that one had its own organic/natural foods section. Oh, this location also has a Starbucks inside! This gets points in my book :) read more

We don't have Smith's in Louisville, but after stopping here quickly, they appear to be possibly owned/partnered/co-owned (whatever the word is) by the same people running Kroger. They've got a Starbucks in the store, and like most grocery stores, the aisles are clearly marked and it is relatively easy to find stuff. Staff was pleasant and efficient. read more

My experience was with the deli section, attempting to order a holiday dinner. It's one of those times I wonder what the truth of the matter really is. My first inkling that something was going to go very wrong with our holiday dinner plans was when I couldn't locate the order area from the local Smith's store website. There was just a picture of a holiday meal, with no order selection area. So, I called the helpful number listed on the website. "My, that's odd - yes, I see that you can't order from there. Let me call your local store to see if they have holiday dinners. I'll get right back to you," said the rep. After a couple minutes, she came on to say, yes, they did have holiday dinners, but I would have to call the store. *grumble* I had her put me through to the store - the gal who answered sounded bored and said she couldn't hear me when I told her I wanted to order a Christmas ham dinner. I asked her for the phone number. She didn't know the number, but got one of the other workers there to tell her: 1-505-922-4300. I called and got put through to the same disinterested voice on the other end of the phone. I told her what I wanted, she took my name and phone number and told me it would be $49.99, which matched the order form I have. I had very little confidence in this transaction, however. No surprise, then, when I showed up 2 days later to pick up my meal and was told there was no order in my name. Oh, but they could give me a TURKEY dinner with all the sides and trimmings for the same price. That wasn't what I'd ordered, I told them and I knew Bob had his heart set on ham, scalloped potatoes and spiced apples. Maybe you ordered from the wrong store, they suggested. I read the phone number back to them from my mobile. They agreed that it was indeed the number for their store. They gave me a ham, they gave me the sides and trimmings for a turkey dinner, though I made them take the turkey gravy out. They gave me mashed potatoes in place of the scalloped potatoes. They shoved a couple of $5 coupons in my hand and left me there, near tears. I went through the checkout where I could see the assistant manager was and I told him what had happened. "You should be happy," he told me. "You got $10 off!" $10 off a meal that wasn't what I ordered, I said to him. He said "well, you don't know who took your order, so I can't fire her." I told him, "I don't want anyone fired. I want her to be made aware that her thoughtless behavior and unwillingness to do her job nearly ruined my holiday dinner." "Have a merry Christmas," he said, quite unconvincingly. I'm left wondering if they disabled the ordering area of the website and had told the deli workers not to take any holiday ham dinner orders because they didn't have the sides they'd previously advertised and were told to just push turkey dinners at people instead, hoping they'd just shut up and go home with something they hadn't ordered. If that was the case, they might have told me up front that they weren't taking orders for the ham dinners and I might have been able to order from a different store or a restaurant. I guess they never saw Miracle on 34th Street. No ho ho ho. read more

BEWARE if you're doing grocery pickup. Unless you manage to get a same day pick up Smith's won't honor the sale price available when you put it in your "cart"! I bought 4 Challenge butter at $2.50 (half off) but when my pick up time (the next day) arrived the sale was over and I was charged $2 more each. Purchased a customized bday cake for my son's 8th birthday. Spelled everything correctly. When picked up my son's name was misspelled byone letter. Big deal. I can get over that. They have good cakes. It was 24 bucks. My son has a slice of cake and it had a hair in it. They refunded my money when the cake was returned with the receipt. Acted like whatever. Smith's gas station is not attended. It is very disturbing that they think that if you want gas you better use your debit/credit card. We are not yet a cashless society and this is one of a few places where you could get convenience without having to mask up and be tracked. If this were a store in a mall they would be fined for not being open during posted hours. I have gone several times during posted hours just to find the station unmanned. Please, be direct about your intentions Smiths as you should be serving the people not just those with credit cards. read more

Buyer beware, if you order anything from this store they will replace it items you do not want and charge you for it. They do not check with you if it is the items you actually bought and you could be paying for items you would never buy. They changed over 30 dollars of my items that were perishable and have they deliver them late so you cant complain because the store is closed. read more
