More often than not, my interactions with this Smith's market is through the click list pick-up. I love being able to go into the app, shop the weekly ads and coupons and then picking up my order at a specified time. I've never had an issue with the order being ready on time. I debated between 4 or 5 stars because sometimes the substituted items aren't what I wanted but then realized that is more on me than smiths since customers can provided instructions for substitutions. In the rare case that the wrong thing was included, the customer service has been outstanding. I find that the selection of foods is really good. I can find almost anything I need for a recipe and it seems that the store does a good job at keeping everything in stock, except for TP and Paper Towels, but that isn't due to Smiths not trying. People be hoarding. read more

This store is rearranging everything, my shopping experience today was very frustrating, I could not find half of what I needed, I had to ask where things were numerous times and still could not get all I wanted, I even checked the app for the aisle number but the aisle listed was not correct. In the end I checked out with the few things I could find. Not a pleasant experience. read more

Smiths Marketplace in West Kaysville - wooHOOOO! If Walmart and Whole Foods had a baby, it would be this Marketplace. The Marketplace stores are great for one stop shopping. 56 aisles of everything under the sun. If they don't have it, I'm thinking you probably don't need it. Online shopping/pickup is available. I love the little island with the bulk meals that are freeze dried. It's around $7/lb. You pick your fancy meal du jour, scoop up what you need, then go home and flash cook it and you're chowing down less than 20 minutes later. Nice variety of meals to choose from. The produce is awesome! Super fresh and a great variety. Employees are super friendly and helpful and not difficult to find. Store is clean, modern and has an open spread-out layout so shoppers aren't on top of each other. Gas station is out in the adjacent parking lot with discounts from your shopping receipts. We just moved into the area about half a year ago, and I'm so happy we have a smiths right next to us! I always end up purchasing more than I needed! There are fun toys, beauty products, and delicious groceries I can stock up on. I love that right in front they have a huge assortment of flowers & managers special bouquets that are more affordable if you need the option. The flowers are always fresh and gorgeous. I haven't bought any yet, however, I did buy a succulent (that I accidentally killed by giving it HOT water unbeknownst to me :( ) but it was gorgeous and lasted so long! It was perfect and It was only a couple bucks! If you're looking for a cute plant to add to your collection, definitely check out smiths! They always have holiday themed treats such as cupcakes, cakes, and cookies, and they're so cute! They carry the shaped butter for meals as well. They currently have a bunny for Easter and it's the cutest! My little hack to getting all the limited edition cups from Starbucks is to purchase them at the locations INSIDE the smiths! Not a lot of people are paying any mind to them I've noticed, and I have already gotten quite the extensive collection. I hope I can still get ahold of the ones I'm wanting after I post this review! This is one of my favorite Smith's, and one of my favorite stores in general for grocery shopping, with a few other essentials as well. They have a nice floral selection, good produce, as well as some household items. The reason I come here the most though is for the bakery/deli section. A full salad and soup bar, other take and heat entrees, a cheese seelction, sushi bar, and pizza station where you can get whole pizzas for $6 or pay by the slice. It's one of my favorite and healthiest options for when I don't have time to bring my lunch to work. The store flows very well and the checkout lines are never too long, so I'm in and out in a jiff. read more

Love this place! It's basically a one-stop shop for everything!! I'm obsessed. The floral section is great too. I love that they have peonies. They also have a glorious salad bar and prepared food section. There is almost always convenient parking available and it is close by to other shops and restaurants. DON'T SHOP @ KAYSVILLE SMITHS!!! If I could do zero stars I would. This Smiths is the worst I've ever been too. Put a clicklist order in today with my mother in law, when she got the notification to pick it up she went over, called to let them know she was there and they claimed she cancelled the order. When she called them on that bullshit because she hadn't cancelled it, they backtracked and claimed to be too busy today to do her order. After sending her a notification that it was ready. I'm immensely upset with your customer service and your quality of work that is done at this location. You'll never have our business again. read more

Really great store -- love the points you get for purchases and also for completing the online surveys. I just saved about $13 at the gas pumps filling my tank. I imagine they have clinical psychologist on staff at the Kroger mothership to arrange the store layout in a way that will entice you to spend money. First thing you are hit with is the visually perfect produce area where the color contrast is very carefully laid out. Then you experience all the fresh oxygen from the abundant plant and flower area, then the deli and bakery to get you salivating before you get to the overpriced meats. That's my only gripe -- they are expensive. read more

I love the kaysville location! I would go out of my way to come to this store because it is always so clean, neatly organized, and above all the staff is so helpful!! They are so friendly, always saying hello and smiling and they will help you find whatever it is your looking for. I went in last Monday to do my regular shopping, Trish was super helpful and so sweet!! I love going in and seeing familiar faces!! Groceries are fresh, I LOVE the organic section, it's my favorite!! This is a dynamo, by far the best version of one of the Marketplaces I've seen. Layout is fantastic, aisles are nice and wide, store is clean and gorgeous. If I lived nearby, I would drive past everything else to go here. A couple minor issues: the bakery section needs work, as in a lot more stuff available in the glass cases. Also, the toy selection is mediocre at best. Both of those two elements were enough to stop this from being a 5 star, but this place is dazzling. read more

What a great store! I love the location. Their employees are very friendly and helpful. Their produce is amazing! The layout is flowy. Say, if you forgot something over there, you can cut through all the aisles. The selection of groceries impressive too. One of my favorite things about this store is the eating area. They have a check out over by the eating area. Plus a big drink cooler. That way you don't have to walk to the front, middle of the store to the big main cooler. It's just right there. They have sushi bar and a Starbucks. I saw that they have a menu with chicken and potato type dinner or lunch plates. I even saw a menu for Pizza. They have a cheese island with lots of choices. The ladies at the cheese counter always say hi . They're very friendly! And their bakery are is huge! The cold case has lots of yummy looking food! They're doing the taste of Spain right now but they still have their regular stuff as well. Super fresh looking! You know how cold case food usually has a nice crust from being uncovered? like dark, chewy pieces of chicken on top of the chicken salad? Not this one. I got some (a couple times) and it was very tasty too! The people working in the deli are very attentive. It seems everywhere I go I can stand there and look the employees straight in the eye and still stand there for 20 minutes waiting for them to ask if I need any help. They are on it and very friendly. They have a small section for clothes. Regular and plus sizes. Their seasonal section is fun to browse through. They always have very cute things. The toy aisle is sensible and looks like I could find something easily instead of driving around creation to find a gift for a kid. One really fun thing is their carts. They have about EIGHT different types of carts. Regular, 2-basket compact, electric and I even saw a couple carts for kids with special needs (called Carolines carts). It gets really fun..they have mini carts and two different styles that look like cars. And another one that sits up high but is also a car. One that sits near the floor and the other one where the kids sit up high. They have taxi a pink race car and a black cop car. My toddler loves this. They're usually pretty clean too! Only once have we found it smashed banana in the seat. They offer sanitary wipes and they're always stocked full. After my toddler picks out her cart, we head over to the basket of fruit for kids. You can choose a free apple, banana or an orange for the kids to nibble on while you shop. I believe that has helped stop the houdini Cheez-Its and mysterious Goldfish crackers from magically appearing in the cart. Like they say, shopping while you're hungry is not a good idea, even for little kids. They always have great sales going on. And I've noticed some things were a little bit cheaper than the Smith's nearest to me. The store is big but manageable . the aisles are super wide. I've never felt crowded out in this store wven around holidays. We live in Centerville and gladly drive up here even if it's just for an avocado. I can't forget to mention they also have the fuel island. This is one of my favorite stores. Way to go Smiths! What a great place you have here! Let me begin by saying, I generally enjoy my experience at this store. I have successfully ordered pick-up and found much of what I need inside the store as well. However, I went to the Kaysville Smith's on Monday, March 15, to grab a few items for dinner and the Private Selection potato chips that are only sold at Smith's. I usually use self-check out, but the cashier line was short (only one person ahead of me), so I went to the cashier. While waiting in line, the cashier was having a very jovial conversation with the woman ahead of me. She seemed very engaged and helpful. As the patron (middle-aged white woman, dressed professionally) left the line, I waited for the cashier to motion me forward. She was adding additional bags to the stand. So I waited until she was finished. She never signaled to me that she was ready to check out my items. She didn't even say hello. I put my items on the belt and she began to ring them up. I asked if she wanted to see/scan my fresh values card. She said something like, "yea" and scanned it. That was the extent of our conversation. I slowly left the line feeling some type of way. I wanted to see how she addressed the white guy behind me. She started ringing up his items and then asked him if he found everything alright. At that moment I was disgusted. I am a Black woman, who has lived in Davis county my whole life. I had never experienced this type of behavior so blatantly from a store chain I had been shopping at since I was a child. As much as I love the Private Selection potato chips (sea salt and balsamic vinegar), I will have to shop at the Layton store or miss them completely because this service was and is unacceptable. The cashier's name is Karlee. I will send a copy of this review to corporate Kroger, as well as the local Smith's store manager. Regardless of your personal feelings or beliefs, if you're in customer service, you need to treat people with respect. This is the second, and most blatant, experience of prejudice I've had at this location. Get it together Smith's! You can't afford to allow employees who treat people this way. read more

At the entrance there is a huge beautiful produce section and the store itself is quite large (you will definitely find what you're looking for). I soooo love this place! They are so helpful about products, knowledgable about where items are located and quick to smile and ask if you need help. This is my go to grocery store now because of all that and more. I've eaten sandwiches, pizza, chicken strips, ribs and cheese sticks from their deli. I've bought their specialty cheeses, I frequent the olive bar and salad bar, deli and bakery and meat department are second to none. My comments are not about the store, but about the customer service. We visited recently and while in the store a storm blew through the area. Because Smiths does not bolt down the shopping basket corrals, the wind lifted one and slammed it into my wife's car, causing extensive damage. Smiths turned it over to their insurance company who dragged their feet and caused my wife to spend 20-25 hours of her time getting bids and following up with the insurance company. Meanwhile, I called the Smith's store managers and asked them what they could do to compensate my wife for her time and energy. Sadly, they were unhelpful and uninterested. I respect when companies don't just offer products, but who also stand behind the customer experience. In this instance, they forgot who keeps them in business. read more
