I…read moregot quotes from three different companies to clean my solar panels and gutters, and Ramos Power Wash was by far the most budget-friendly option. Overall, I would give them 4 out of 5 stars. The work I actually hired them to perform was done very well, but there were some issues with communication and cleanup afterward.
Starting with the positives, they were the first company to respond to my request for a quote, and their price was considerably better than the other quotes I received. Communication was also generally quick when I texted them with questions.
They did a great job cleaning both my solar panels and gutters. They provided before-and-after photos showing their work, which I really appreciated. While they were on the roof, they also noticed some broken roof tiles and sent me pictures so I would be aware of them. That was helpful and went beyond the work I had actually hired them to do.
Their online payment system is also excellent. The portal made paying the invoice extremely easy and accepts several payment methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and American Express.
There were, however, a few things that kept this from being a five-star experience.
The first was scheduling. Communication had been responsive until it came time to actually schedule the work. I gave them my availability but never received confirmation of a date or time. The next day, I suddenly received approximately one hour of notice that they were on their way. Fortunately, it worked out, but getting an hour's notice without previously being told I was actually scheduled that day was surprising and could easily create problems for someone who needs to plan around the appointment.
The bigger issue was cleanup. Cleaning gutters obviously creates dirt and debris, and I completely understand that some mess is unavoidable during the job. However, I expected the surrounding areas to be cleaned afterward.
My backyard and the side of my house were left dirty from material washed out of the gutters. My pool filter and AC equipment were covered in dirt, some of my windows were dirty, and there was debris left on the concrete. I reviewed my security cameras afterward and could see that they did walk around with a hose attempting to rinse things down, but unfortunately the cleanup was not thorough. I ended up having to clean those areas myself. I have attached photos showing how things were left.
They also disconnected my garden hose to use the water spigot, which is completely reasonable, but they did not reconnect it afterward. The hose was left lying in the dirt, which allowed dirt to get inside it.
I even flew my drone over the house afterward to inspect the work itself, and the solar panels and gutters looked great. So my criticism isn't about the primary work I paid them to perform. They did that well.
Would I recommend Ramos Power Wash? Probably, especially considering their pricing. The actual gutter and solar panel cleaning was good, their payment system was convenient, and I appreciated them identifying the damaged roof tiles. However, the scheduling communication and cleanup afterward need improvement. Be prepared to potentially do some cleanup yourself once they're finished.
