Words cannot fully express how talented Allen Tsai is. My husband and I are not used to being…read moreprofessionally photographed, so we chose Allen based on his stellar reviews. He did not disappoint! My best advice would be to trust him and his skills as a photographer implicitly. 1. He gives plenty of direction in terms of body placement, posture, hand placement, etc. to give you flawless photos. If you are new to being photographed like me, you'll find this kind of direction extremely helpful and comforting. 2. At the same time, he creates a very calm, light, and fun atmosphere that creates true, genuine moments between you and your significant other. We are two people that usually feel very uncomfortable in front of a camera, however we had such an enjoyable experience with Allen. 3. I really encourage anyone using Allen's services to listen to his recommendations. For example, our original scheduled date was cloudy and overcast. He recommended that we wait for sun if we truly wanted to be happy with our photos. We are so grateful to have listened to him, because the results were wonderful (see attached). There are other photographers that will say that cloudy weather is actually better, however with Allen's technique and skill set, he can do incredible things with the light. We will continuously use Allen's services in the future; we have found our favorite photographer! I couldn't imagine working with anyone else.

Engaged him right after, did our photoshoot, and got our photos, all less than a month (Dec, when wedding season is less hectic). He's very friendly, prompt in replies, very professional and definitely knows what he is doing, especially in giving directions to us while taking our photos. The photos came out to be better than we've expected. Truly a talent! Worth our money spent! In fact, his pricing is very reasonable.

I recently had a photo shoot here and ended up purchasing the CD with all of the photos on it for…read morearound $200. Once I received the disc and took it home to view, I realized that all but 3-4 of the 150 or so photos were unusable without extensive editing. The lighting was all wrong, with shadows on the childrens' faces, there was excessive head room on all shots, there were props in a lot of the shots such as lighting tripods, stools, and cords, etc. There was a group of shots with my daughter wearing black pants and her great-grandmother wearing a black suit-the photographer shot them with a black background so there was no distinction between clothes and backdrop. The photos were just awful, the photographer seemingly lacking the most basic skills of photography. I wrote an email complaining about the pics over a month ago and have received no response.

This was the worst photo studio I have ever been to, not to mention the biggest waste of money…read more The girl who took our photos was very unprofessional and completely untrained. Anyone that had ever taken a picture could be qualified to be a photographer here. We were taking family portraits and couples shots. She has no idea where to place us or gave us any direction on how to pose. At one point I had to ask her if we switch people up or we are going to have 100 of the exact same photos. We bought a 40 minute session and after 30 minutes she was ready to wrap it up even though one of the couples had not taken there pictures yet. The ultimate disappointment was when we went to pick out our pictures. All of the photos looked like a three year old took them (eyes closed, horrible lighting where everyone had red hair and no one in my family has red hair, awkward poses, ect) My recommendation would be to find an actual photographer that is interested in taking your pictures and wants you to be happy with them. The staff members at Clix Portrait Studio are high school/college girls that click the snap button to get there pay check. Then they want to charge you $300 for 20 pictures that are below sub par. I would NEVER suggest this photo studio if you are looking for quality pictures.

This review is for Yvonne from DnPixels. When I went…read morethrough the process of finding a videographer/photographer, I came across DnPixels and thought .. "let me look at their pro-folio and connect and inquire about some things before booking and sending a deposit." Don't get me wrong, the images and videos I saw were good and up to my standards, so after my questions were answered, we booked. Communication was really good up until we sent the deposit. My husband and I reach out to Yvonne to ask if we can have another videographer there to shadow and help us capture some more memories, like a different POV, she willingly agreed as long as he wasn't in her/their way. In addition, we had paid a little more because we wanted ALL of our raw files (keep this in mind as I will touch this topic later). We had multiple incidents where we would ask the same questions just to make sure that 1 we clarified or 2 she can clarify for us. For example, when we added the RAW files (photo/video) to our contract she agreed, but didn't update on her end which was a cause for concern because if we were under the assumption we're getting them but don't ... that would have been a mess. Another incident would be when updating the contracts on their end, it was a joke. I had received an email in regards to a "contract cancelled" so I reached out to Yvonne and she said to ignore it and we don't need to sign because we were on her calendar already, but then proceeds to ask me if I signed it because they need it on their end. Honestly, conversations were a miss and I'm so glad I kept screenshots and emails to provide when asked about contracts and other stuff. Come day of, Yvonne shows up late to our venue, and with a different "videographer". I felt that if communication is key (as stated in some of their replies to reviews) why didn't she communicate that Dang (her husband) wasn't going to make it? Why did I have to go out of MY way on my wedding day to ask, where is the videographer? Yes, I understand life happens and things get chaotic, but I felt like a heads up would have been common decency. For me to ask where x person is, day of my wedding, should be the least of my worries. We could have talked and came up with a game plan because from what I was witnessing, the person in place for Dang wasn't shooting. She held Yvonne's camera and adjusted my dress/veil a couple times. It felt as if she was Yvonne's assistant and Yvonne was doing both video and photo (I wasn't the only person who notice this as well.) As stated above, if she would have communicated, we would have had our friend who was there that was also shooting video, be in Dang's place. Again, this is based on what I witnessed as a bride and I understood the situation as to why Dang didn't come. BUT come on, this should have been spoken about prior to our event, not when I'm sitting in the chair getting my hair touched up. Our friend (who she allowed to video/shadow) came to us to debrief before he left for the night and informed us that Yvonne was being unprofessional due to remarks that she was making (I will also include that not only did he hear, but other surrounding people heard and told this to us days after). "He's in the way", "he's not suppose to be shooting", "I'm not here to teach anyone", making unnecessary comments when she could have kept them to herself and/or come to us and let us handle the situation. I am honestly quite disappointed in how these conversations are had with Yvonne. I cannot speak to how Dang works because I haven't once spoken to him. I will not say all the work is disappointing, but it felt like we had gotten the shitty end of the stick in comparison to their other work. ** please see attached photo for my continued review ** I will not be recommending and ask for any future clients to proceed with caution.
