We had the most wonderful service at this location. Took our drink order and food order of 2 One Egg any Style, Waffle with a side of Bacon, Big Country Breakfast. The service is horrible here, only 1 waiter and the other 2 barely speak English and couldn't understand when asked to order he brought me water instead. Took over 20 min to order and another hour to get food. When we were leaving people next to us who had sat down only 10 min after us still hadn't ordered she was trying to wave them down. So disappointed in this Smitty sure has gone down hill. Food was cold and no flavour on my western skillet. My toast was cold had been sitting awhile before came out. I went to Smittys for breakfast. The menu is great, prices are good. Service was good. You know what you're getting with Smittys. Food was good, nothing extraordinary, to appeal to the widest range of people possible. Good place to take kids for an affordable meal. read more

Stopped at this restaurant for breakfast while on a trip away from home and we were not dissapointed. The decor is interesting and is one of the first things you will notice when entering the restaurant. The decorations are from the same artist that has decorated many other restaurants. The food was a nice alternative to many other breakfast diners. It is exactly what I would have expected. The food was tasty and well prepared. I also had no issues with the service. Our server was informative and efficient. The price was a bit higher then expected but in a tourist town, it was expected. I will certainly return to this location. read more

I certainly would avoid going here. Incredibly unfriendly/unwelcoming hostess/pourer of coffee. Reminded me of Lurch from the Addams family. Toast was refrigerator-cold. Food was terrible with rotting lettuce garnishing the plates. The waitress was extremely rude when I told her my son did not enjoy his meal, no apology or discount was offered. The bill was $$.49 and I left $$.50, I don't reward rudeness. She actually chased my parents out to their vehicle and confronted them with my nickle that was the change. So long story short if you want to be treated badly eat questionably fresh food and risk being verbally assaulted in the parking lot, this Smitty's is for you. read more

Food and service was TERRIBLE. We are local, long-time customers and our after our experience today will see us not returning here. We waited 45 mins from ordering for our breakfast in a nearly empty restaurant. Server wrote down my order and the wrong meal arrived, he just ordered two of the same meal my husband ordered. Our server was nowhere to be found and our coffee cups were empty most of the meal. My eggs were over-cooked and rubbery, bacon was super greasy. We both ordered sides of hash browns which were almost $9 on the bill, super small portions and poorly cooked. $42 for two people for breakfast before tip. We can go to other places in town with way better food and service for cheaper. This place used to be quite the opposite, cheap, great service and decent food. Very unfortunate.... read more

We were staying the night at the Super 8 next door and the TripAdvisor folks recommended having breakfast at the Smitty's next door as the continental hotel breakfast was awful (even for free). We took one look at it and decided to try the Smitty's. Well, I'm not sure why anyone would recommend the Smitty's, either. First of all, the service was HORRENDOUS! It was slow. There was only one other table and they left not even halfway through our meal so we were the only customers our waitress had. Well, she spent more time checking her phone and making HERSELF tea than she did looking after us. My husband got up from the table to start to fetch himself a refill of coffee before she came around to check if he needed one (this after waiting several minutes). Then she brought part of our meals BEFORE she remembered to bring us any cutlery. So she grabbed the cutlery and returned with it and the balance of our meals. Then she proceeded to ignore us again and ALL of the front of the restaurant staff stood around chatting together. And then the food - well, it wasn't good. My son ordered farmer's sausage and eggs. Now I don't know what passes for farmer's sausage outside of the Lower Mainland, but those were just extra big breakfast sausages. Not worth the extra money, that's for sure. All of our eggs were as flat as paper and not flavourful at all. The only thing that all of us enjoyed were our hashbrowns. Well seasoned and cooked well. That's it. read more

Used to be my favourite breakfast place but the last year the service got worse every time i went there . My last visit i walked out because nobody could be bothered to take my order for almost 10 min. I am done giving them a chance and won't be going back there ! read more
