Smoked and Chopped is the answer to affordable BBQ in this city. Especially when you are a mixed household of meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. Husband reports that the brisket is delicious (better than his usual go-to: Deke's). For me, the smoked tofu bowl was bomb. As a vegan who doesn't seek out tofu for takeout, this dish was a slap in the face. So good. Smoked and pan-fried so it has that delicious thin crust only fried tofu has. And the sauces are all outstanding -- including whatever they put on the brussel sprouts appetizer. Easily the best brussel sprouts I've ever had. Flavours are on point at this joint. Tried this place out through grubhub and boy did this place let me down. I got the brisket plate with 2 sides. Brisket is usually tender but this one was super tough. Could not even cut it with a fork. The saving grace was the potatoes, they were charred and kinda smashed. Really great texture of crispy and soft read more

We husband found a flier for Smoked and Chopped on his bike so we tried it out for take out. It was great and inexpensive. Three of us got the smoked tofu which had so much flavor. I got a side of baked beans and sweet potato tater tots - also good. It was $10 for the whole platter. We also ordered the brisket and the ribs and they were good. First off I have to start off this review with I used to absolutely love this place! When they first popped up on my postmate as brand new I said let me give them a try. The food that I got that day was absolutely amazing. I got the ribs sweet potato tater tots and their kimchi coleslaw. I became an instant fan of their food. I ordered it at least once every 2 weeks. Cut to months later and the quality has completely gone down hill. I ordered their brussel sprouts with an order. I received it burned. I wish I would have taken a picture but I didn't. I said you know what It's probably a one-off They still have my business because those sweet potato tater tots alone are everything! I continue to order the quality kept going down. This last week I ordered the brisket, sweet potato tater tots, and the kimchi coleslaw. Two orders of the kimchi coleslaw because it's amazing. Instead of getting the amazing kimchi coleslaw that I'm used to I got a pile of mush sent to me in four cups that you use as a condiment side order. You're telling me I'm spending $5 an order for two tiny scoops of kimchi coleslaw when that's not what was originally served when I first ordered from this place. And it looked completely an appetizing not like the freshly cut vegetables that I'm used to. The tater tots were horrible. Then they weren't seasoned like they normally were. And the meat they gave me was dry and brittle! So disgusted with what I received that I will never be ordering from this place again. If you can't keep up with the original quality that you originally served then why continue to be in business! As You can see from my pictures just from the kimchi coleslaw how one is beautiful and the other looks like a pile of mush I was so disappointed. I'd love to give a 5 star review, but, last night I ordered from them for the second time. I was very excited and anticipated them being open on Tuesday because the first time was so amazing. I ordered the exact same thing as the first. The smoked brisket over Mac was seclusion, however, the Brussels were soggy and had some weird sauce on them that wasn't present the first time. The first time they were perfectly cooked and were soft on the inside, crisp on the outside. The tater tots on the hoisin ribs also weren't crispy, just mushy. I will order again in hopes that this was just a fluke. read more
