    Ice cream flavours!

I am giving this place a pass because Bae lurves it.... istg she is addicted. And you know what? Given the amount of sugar in these cookies, that would be on brand. She has tried almost all of them and her favorite remains a toss-up between the Snickerdoodle and the Chocolate Chunk. I must say, I agree with the Snickerdoodle beside a nice black coffee. What got me to rate this place though? Their chocolate ice cream is fudging amazing! Creamy, smooth, not too rich, not too sweet, it's nice. We bought some strawberry cheesecake too. But it's in the freezer for another day. I can't wait to try it!

The cookies are good. This I cannot deny. They are a good portion; one will fill up your stomach enough that it does the trick of satisfying any sweet cravings you have. If you like mint I suggest giving the Double Chocolate Mint a try. It's hard to find a good mint flavored cookie, especially one that is freshly baked, so I was pleased with the end result when I received my order. The regular chocolate chip cookies are also good. However, they are extremely overpriced for essentially being just cookies. I get it, I get it - you can get them late into the night and you're paying for the charm and convenience of it. Additionally, if you look at the nutritional information they are nearly identical to most grocery store brand cookies in ingredients. Almost identical, except they put a ton more butter in. Not expecting this, I experienced severe stomach cramps and gastric distress due to the richness of the cookies. Good problem to have? Maybe, depending on how you look at it. So overall I like them. At least the cookies are tasty, but I'm not sure I want to go through that much pain just to ingest them again. Those with weak stomachs beware.

I'm trying to justify how I can get another cookiewich this week; other than starvation, I have no business in there again. Family, that cookiwich was ammmmazing: Chocolate chip with M & Ms and vanilla ice cream. My cookies were warm while slowly melting the ice cream. I think it can be shared if you into that. I'll pass.

There's no greater motivation for a study session than treating yourself to some insomnia cookies! I love trying the seasonal offerings such as red velvet around Valentine's Day and lemon white chocolate chip in the spring. The shop also serves ice cream sundaes and ice cream cookie sandwiches for the indulgent moments during the semester.

The first time I heard of Insomnia cookies, I was studying in the library. My classmates suggested us ordering insomnia cookies because... we're all exhausted from studying. AND THEY DELIVER? I mean, this is cookies at its best. IT'S BEST! My all time guilty pleasure is the s'more cookies. They are bigger and thicker than my palm. Definitely not something you should over-indulge. Or should you?! If you're around Penn, you must try their addicting cookies. No brainer.

This insomnia cookie is so tasty! I'm convinced that whoever delivers must run the cookies to my house because they are always fresh and he arrives earlier than the ETA every time. I was so happy when they offered the free merch too! The only issue I noticed (because I go way too often) is that when I pickup at night, they haven't been as warm lately.

My favorite treat on campus. The best cookies. Always warm, always fresh. I haven't been disappointed yet. The classic chocolate chip is to die for and the snickerdoodle is delicious. All around, very friendly and warm service. A little pricy, but it's worth it.

I am not new to Insomnia, but as I was driving on Market Street last night and saw the truck parked on 33rd out of the corner of my eye, I did get a little happy. 10 minutes later I found myself parked, getting out of my car, and walking towards the beacon... I mean the cookie truck. Though the young woman working the truck gave me a bit a 'tude, it did not deter me from the deliciousness I knew awaited me. Now is the $2.95 cost for the deluxe cookies a new price all around or is that just for the truck? I don't mean to sound cheap, but I just wanna know. Anywho, I bought two, they were warm, I ate them, and I was glad. The end,

For a limited time, they have a "Biscuits with the Boss" flavor as a collab with Ted Lasso. I was feeling something fruity so I went with Watermelon Taffy and Goat Cheese with Red Cherries. The half scoop needs to be a thing at more ice cream shops because it is the PERFECT portion! I loved that I could try two flavors without feeling stuffed. Goat Cheese with Red Cherries - very rich and creamy with just enough of the tart cherry to balance out the goat cheese. Watermelon Taffy - almost like a sorbet with watermelon flavor. So refreshing! The little waffle cone piece on the side was a great way to add crunchiness. Every flavor at Jeni's is so fun and interesting. I can't wait to stop in again!

I sampled five flavors and my top three were the Hibiscus Chili Punch, Summer Berries + Passion fruit, and the Watermelon Taffy. The staff member that helped us was very kind, informative, and enthusiastic. He was very open about the flavors and was not shy to tell us what might be too sweet. I wish we came earlier in the day because we got there 30 minutes before closing and they were already in the process of cleaning up. The store still had a super cute color theme going on and it was very clean. We sat at the window barstools while we finished out single scoop. One unique thing about Jeni's is that they serve each flavor by the half scoop, so one scoop automatically defaults to two different flavors!

Luckily, this time the line was pretty short! They have a rotating menu with a special sundae each week. This week's was a strawberry lemon sundae, which didn't really appeal to me, so we opted for their hard ice cream and their iconic dipped soft serve instead. The hard ice cream flavors are pretty unique, and the one we tried was tasty with a good amount of inclusions mixed throughout. However, I'd say it was still pretty comparable to other ice cream shops in the area and didn't necessarily stand out to me. For the soft serve, we got vanilla dipped in a cookie butter shell. The presentation is great and definitely iconic, but the overall taste was just alright. It didn't really blow me away. If you get it in a cone, be prepared to eat it quickly because it melts fast! There's no seating inside, so we had to stand outside and eat our ice cream. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I'd love to come back when they have a weekly sundae that sounds more up my alley. I'll definitely be keeping up with their Instagram to see what's on the menu because I really want to come back and try one of their sundaes!
