Looked up a you tube video to see how to check that by putting it in diagnostic mode after I left. I couldn't see any areas with dead pixels, nor could any of my family. When I got back to my state, I went to an actual AT&T owned store and what do you know, I traded it in with no issues and they salesman didn't say anything about my phone having dead pixels. I don't know if they just don't know what they're looking at, don't want to to the work or just want to make more money on the sale.
