My Experience at Aromas Cigar, Wine & Martini Bar -- StogieFest 2026…read moreI attended StogieFest 2026 at Aromas Cigar, Wine & Martini Bar in Jacksonville for the very first time, looking forward to enjoying a relaxing evening with great cigars, drinks, and conversation. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a pleasant event turned into a truly frightening experience. While sitting at a table with three ladies, an unidentified man -- who I later learned is believed to be one of the owners or managers -- suddenly and aggressively flipped the open chair next to me, shoving the table hard enough to almost tip it over. Our drinks and handbags nearly went flying. Everyone at our table was visibly startled and shaken. Instinctively, I stood and asked, "Hey, why did you do that? Who is this guy?" Instead of responding, he became even more aggressive and began moving toward me as if he intended to attack. It took three security personnel to physically restrain him, and even they struggled to hold him back. Once he was finally removed from the area, two managers and a waitress approached our table, genuinely apologetic. They offered to pay for our drinks, urged us to stay, and assured me the situation would be handled. Several nearby patrons also expressed their concern and asked if we were okay -- everyone appeared disturbed by what they had just witnessed. I stepped outside to calm down before returning to my table, hoping to salvage what was left of the night. But before long, the same man returned, once again appearing angry and hostile, seemingly looking for me. Security had to step in a second time to remove him. Moments later, security personnel told me I needed to leave -- despite the fact that one of the managers (Torrence) had specifically asked me to stay and reassured me I had nothing to worry about. That manager was suddenly nowhere to be found, and security insisted I go. Another man named Max came over, spoke politely, and apologized, asking me to take his hand and leave for my safety. At that point, I was terrified and deeply shaken. To be absolutely clear: * I have never met or spoken to the aggressive man (whose name, I was told, is Abe) prior to this incident. * I overheard patrons mentioning that he had been drinking all day. * I am not a regular at Aromas -- this was my first visit, simply to attend StogieFest and enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, it turned into a traumatic encounter that left me feeling unsafe, humiliated, and confused. No guest should ever have to experience something like this -- especially at a professional, public event.

We stopped by on a Saturday night and were met with a full on club vibe; pat down and all. Decided to give it a try anyway. Don't knock it til you try it right??!! Well, we ordered two pours of 1738, Remy Martin Cognac. It was served in plastic cups and for $25 per pour, you can see for yourself the highway robbery. My husband went inside and ordered a stick as part of the deal to avoid us all having to pay the $20 cover charge. He comes out to smoke it and there was not one ashtray in sight. We finished our drinks, took a few puffs, tipped the nice server and left. Clearly, we won't ever return.

The cocktail menu has been expanded and improved, and every drink feels intentional and well crafted. The private members lounge is the highlight. It feels like a true lounge, not a club. The atmosphere is relaxed and refined, and it is perfect for anyone who wants a quiet place to work, meet, or enjoy a premium cigar. The cigar selection is excellent, and the staff is knowledgeable in a way that feels helpful rather than pushy. If you want a first class cigar experience with great cocktails and a comfortable, upscale vibe, Dapper D's Cigars at River City is the place.

Alright, this is for the actual cheesesteak lovers/ people with taste buds. Sorry to say, I'm…read moreactually so disappointed.. heard many positive reviews about the place so I had high hopes. And yes I follow the scoop in facebook so that's why I'm here. First off, presentation was beautiful. Pretty cleanly and bathrooms were decent. The waiting time wasn't too long, I'd say 15 mins. Staff was very welcoming and atmosphere was on par. Meat to cheese ratio wasn't too bad and was pretty chewy. Only thing, it lacked favor. Like, LOTS of favor. Not saying it's the worst cheesesteak I've ever had and safe to say it beats most cheesesteaks in Jax, especially Eddie n sons as a reference. Yes I've had it like 3 times, yes it's bland. I did like how the onions were chopped but felt like I tasted more cheese than anything. Definitely needed more meat. Awesome they have cooper sharp but wasn't the tastiest? Lots of cheese as it should have but idk, didn't have the flavor I was expecting. Love myself a seeded bread roll but the bread was way too fluffy/chewy in my opinion. Even went to a random spot in st. Pete without checking any reviews and sorry to say, it absolutely destroyed this cheesesteak. Fries were soggy and needed salt. Anyone can agree it always matters if you eat on the spot or bring it home. Yea, I ate it in a matter of seconds once it hit my table and nope. The cheese whiz tasted like a can of whiz from Publix.. But I can say, ranch was a hittin. Also, $18 for a michters neat pour?! Or maybe that's just normal since it's higher end, I guess. Overall I give it a 7.3. Not mediocre but just decent. Had some flavor but not like, wow! That was amazing! Just, okay. These Floridians need to stop making food reviews lol. Drove out here for nuffin lol. For sure a cheesesteak to eat after the bars why not but I'm not coming back unfortunately.
