My Experience at Aromas Cigar, Wine & Martini Bar -- StogieFest 2026 I attended StogieFest 2026 at Aromas Cigar, Wine & Martini Bar in Jacksonville for the very first time, looking forward to enjoying a relaxing evening with great cigars, drinks, and conversation. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a pleasant event turned into a truly frightening experience. While sitting at a table with three ladies, an unidentified man -- who I later learned is believed to be one of the owners or managers -- suddenly and aggressively flipped the open chair next to me, shoving the table hard enough to almost tip it over. Our drinks and handbags nearly went flying. Everyone at our table was visibly startled and shaken. Instinctively, I stood and asked, "Hey, why did you do that? Who is this guy?" Instead of responding, he became even more aggressive and began moving toward me as if he intended to attack. It took three security personnel to physically restrain him, and even they struggled to hold him back. Once he was finally removed from the area, two managers and a waitress approached our table, genuinely apologetic. They offered to pay for our drinks, urged us to stay, and assured me the situation would be handled. Several nearby patrons also expressed their concern and asked if we were okay -- everyone appeared disturbed by what they had just witnessed. I stepped outside to calm down before returning to my table, hoping to salvage what was left of the night. But before long, the same man returned, once again appearing angry and hostile, seemingly looking for me. Security had to step in a second time to remove him. Moments later, security personnel told me I needed to leave -- despite the fact that one of the managers (Torrence) had specifically asked me to stay and reassured me I had nothing to worry about. That manager was suddenly nowhere to be found, and security insisted I go. Another man named Max came over, spoke politely, and apologized, asking me to take his hand and leave for my safety. At that point, I was terrified and deeply shaken. To be absolutely clear: * I have never met or spoken to the aggressive man (whose name, I was told, is Abe) prior to this incident. * I overheard patrons mentioning that he had been drinking all day. * I am not a regular at Aromas -- this was my first visit, simply to attend StogieFest and enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, it turned into a traumatic encounter that left me feeling unsafe, humiliated, and confused. No guest should ever have to experience something like this -- especially at a professional, public event. read more

If you are coming for a grown and sexy cigar smoke, cocktail and meal, this is not the place for that. We stopped by on a Saturday night and were met with a full on club vibe; pat down and all. Decided to give it a try anyway. Don't knock it til you try it right??!! Well, we ordered two pours of 1738, Remy Martin Cognac. It was served in plastic cups and for $25 per pour, you can see for yourself the highway robbery. My husband went inside and ordered a stick as part of the deal to avoid us all having to pay the $20 cover charge. He comes out to smoke it and there was not one ashtray in sight. We finished our drinks, took a few puffs, tipped the nice server and left. Clearly, we won't ever return. read more

My sister and i went in at 5 pm on a Saturday. It wasn't busy. We stood at the bar for 10 minutes 2 bartenders behind the bar. Neither acknowledged us, one was on her phone. Place was dead just a few folks at the tables. We turned around and left. If you can't at least acknowledge hey I'll be with you in a minute well we can find somewhere that will serve. read more

I've been coming to Aromas for a few years. It has changed over time. The club part has grown in popularity for certain. The selection of cigars has grown as well. What I love is if there is a certain type/brand that you are looking for, they will try to get it. The atmosphere is pleasant. I enjoy sitting on the breezeway outside cause I don't like how heavily crowded it can get inside and the strong wafting of cigar smoke in the air. The wait staff comes outside to take your order. I love their chicken wings and fries. Especially their fries. Eating fries and people watching on a Saturday evening is a relaxing way to pass time. Aromas has become one of my favorite places to go and unwind.. and then turn back up! I love the staff, the security always looked out for me and I LOVE the fact that they have options! There's the smoke side which is more of a lunge area, the ice bar side which is the club and the patio which is a mix of both basically. Oh, and there's a DJ in every area so you get three different vibes on most nights! Ladies are free before a certain time on a few days of the week (just call to check and see when) and the fellas always have to pay. 21+ for ladies and 25+ for the fellas and we all know age restrictions are important! There's always a little dress code for the men like no white beaters, ball caps and a couple other things. read more

This is a nice cigar bar that has a lot going for it, however, a few things persist that could have enhanced the experience further. I will get the negative out of the way first. The biggest one is their beautiful patio, which they also use to store things like cones and other necessities. They built a wonderful patio, they should not use it as a shed. At least put the things out of sight. I thought the music was a bit loud, but everyone seemed to enjoy it, so that was just me. They had a decent selection of cigars in their humidor and the staff were great. Our server was attentive and checked on us often. The crowd was also very friendly and made us feel welcome. The night we were there they were offering a steak dinner for $27.00. Honestly, I was surprised that a cigar bar could offer food. We did not eat there, but several people did around us, so it is a popular weekly offer (I think they might offer it every Wednesday, but you might want to confirm). They also have a full liquor bar. My friends and I always sit outside to avoid smelling like a smoke stack, order red wine, and thoroughly enjoy the music and people watching. We've never met a stranger and always have a great time! Went for the first time on a Thursday night and it was busy, live music.. I'm a cigar smoker and found the humidor to be pretty weak for a knowledgeable cigar smoker. I purchased a room101 and a Drew Estate Liga 9 how do they not carry Perdomo or Oliva or a good selection of Fuente or AJ Fernandez. Now to the drink menus they don't have one??? I asked do you have a wine menu I'd like to buy a bottle of Cabernet they do t have a list of wines???? I left it up to the hostess and she brought me a bottle of cheap $11 retail Cab for $26 and that's fine and brought us 2 glasses and placed them on a dirty table outside.. This place could be great with the proper management and when I say great I mean GREAT could be a Cigar Aficionado HOT SPOT... I was pleasantly surprised with the take out steak dinner. My husband frequent Aromas for the cigars and drinks and always bragged about the steak dinner. I was a little skeptical because Aroma is a cigar bar. But babbbby, the steak was so delicious. It was seasoned to perfection and cooked on point (requested medium). The portion size is gigantic and can feed 2 people comfortably. The sides (red mashed potatoes and string beans) were fresh and also delicious. Please note the steak dinners are only available on Wednesdays, so mark your calendar. Highly recommend the steak dinner and although it was take out it was still great! read more

We showed up on Friday night for Latin night. The cover was $10 for everyone, and ladies drank free until 11PM. There were two sections inside. A cigar area and the Latin club. There's also a private area as well. The restroom was male or female, but it appears they were using it as unisex. There's restrooms upon entering and one in the Latin Club past the bar. It was empty when we arrived, but people started pouring in around midnight. Plenty of folks tearing it up on the dance floor then. I had single shots of 1800 and I think the drinks were anywhere between $15-20. The outside patio area had a DJ and was playing some good music, however I think that area was reserved for cigar members? There was also a bar there... So three bars total. I think they have changed owners or something b/c a few years ago - it was different. We may be older and looking for something a little more refined in a cigar lounge. The selection of burbon main room is very limited; However the bartender said they have more of a selection in the member area- which is really just dumb I think! Sit back and enjoyed preseason games over several big screen tvs throughout the room and enjoy drinks in comfortable leather chairs , while music streamed throughout the room. To the right there is a door that leads to another room streaming salsa music. One star out of principle. Visiting from Charleston, SC and I refuse to pay to spend money at a cigar lounge for nothing other than it's Friday night in Jacksonville. No fight. No special event. Nothing. So you're charging $10 just to sit. You can keep that. Smoke on the water, city cigars, Coronas, King Corona, some of the top cigar lounges in the South. None of them charge a Cover. It's insulting. If you're a cigar lounge and you have to charge a cover, you're attracting the wrong crowd... then again you stopped me from patronizing you today, so maybe you're getting the right crowd. read more

My husband & his friends usually hang out here so since we were in the area we stopped by! Smoke isn't my thing but I was interested to see the hype! Upon parking there's outside seating near the entrance and a patio area which I later found out was for paid VIP customers. There are 3 separate spots to this one facility. You have one room to your right where cigar smoking isn't allowed but they have hookahs, the main room where there are tables/bar & cigar smoking and then there's the VIP room with a separate bar bathroom & seating area along with the patio for a nice chunk of change.. oh and I can't forget the large humidor that house a large variety of cigars. Once you select your cigar they will cut & light it for you. You can have an open tab that must be started with a cc. There's a full bar and food. read more

I had a good time and then when I got home to Maryland, I saw that they charged more than my signed receipt stated. I always write what I have as a tip on the customer copy and the total so I know what to expect when the charge post to my account. Which is a shame because I paid an extra tip on top of the automatic gratuity because the lady made good drinks. So I guess a 30% tip wasn't enough. read more

I wanted to love this place but I just can't give it more than 3 stars. They charged us to visit. Very confusing but we paid it and went in. Then more money for cigars. We found a table and relaxed near the bar. You have to get drinks at the bar or at least we assumed that as we did not see anyone taking orders during our 2 hour visit. A band came in about 5 minutes before we left but I cannot comment on the music as we left before they got started. Pros: drinks were good, service at bar good, several TVs and during our visit that was the only real highlight. Very laid back great crowd. Cons: Too expensive. Still not sure why we had to pay to enter. Not a big room very tight as tables are close together. Overall in just over 2 hours with entry fee, 2 cigars and drinks we were well over $100. A friend and I went here instead of the same old normal bars we go to just for a change in scenery. For a Sunday football night, the place was relatively slow. The waitress was super friendly and helpful even though it was her first week. We got drinks that were dangerously strong and stepped inside the humidor to take a look at the cigars. It took a while for someone to help us and I wish they kind of explained the process and gave us more options for our tastes and experience with cigars, but nevertheless I was happy with my purchase. I got a cappuccino cigar and my friend had blueberry. She said hers was great and mine was good as well. I also got a meat lovers flatbread that was surprisingly good. I had a great time at Aroma's! If you enjoy a kick ass cigar and are a Mohito or Martini connoisseur who can be around smokers, I highly recommend this fun spot. Really this is a great place to go after work, hang out with a good group of friends in some really comfortable chairs, share some great appetizers, listen to some live music, smoke a cigar and sample some amazingly unique drinks! Not only is the cigar menu extensive, but the Martini and Mohito drink menu is quite diverse as well. I have developed a taste for the Monte Cristo Mohito here during these warmer summer months. Mmmnnnn.... Very refreshing! The tapas here are pretty standard fare, but that's not really why you come to a place like this is it?
