We were originally going to just fix our central AC unit, but unfortunately it was going to be more than expected. I had already gotten a quote for a new unit, and within 15 mins we were all set and they came and installed it within days. Kyler originally came to fix it, and Keegan and some other nice gentleman came for the install. All were professional, very friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly and made it easy to understand. They were kind to our dogs as well. I had no heat this weekend. I called Smokey Barbier heating for emergency services and was informed they do not work weekends; I would need to call another company. Which I did do and was serviced. I have had Smokey Barbier since I purchased my home and have always been happy with company and the technicians. I had a bid for a boiler replacement that was thousands more than other HVAC providers. This was because sale wanted to sell an iron filtration extra which I did not want. They did not want to install it without doing this and I find that unacceptable. I do not think the sales person was knowledgable about the status of the water here that is plus one iron only. The iron addition he wanted me to buy would not have helped and caused unnecessary expense. read more

The saga continues ....... After posting a negative review on Smokey Barbiers website we received a 'canned" response (cut and paste) saying they were sorry we had a bad experience with a phone number to call to discuss (920-682-2073). We called the number and spoke with Lexi who was very polite, understanding, and didn't interrupt while we were relaying our experience. She said a technician would arrive at our home on 6-24-24 between 11am and 1pm. She was excellent. A service technician arrived and it was Larry. We were glad to see him because he has been servicing our furnace and air conditioner for years. He did a GREAT JOB. Wonderful guy!!!! The following day we received a text message saying "with the cold weather making its way to our area there was no better time to ensure your furnace is running efficiently than right now and to schedule a maintenance service with a number to call (920-212-6736). We called the number the same day (6-25-24) and spoke with Lisa. Lisa said they don't take calls to schedule furnace maintenance until September. We explained we received a text message telling us to schedule the maintenance now. She then agreed to set-up the appointment for 9-30-24 and said a technician would arrive between 8am and 4pm. we asked for a more definitive time so we didn't have to stay home all day waiting for the tech to arrive. I also asked that Larry be the tech to come to service our furnace. We were told "Larry is not qualified" to do the work (wait until Larry here's that). I explained Larry has been servicing our furnace and air conditioner for years. I also said were flexible on the date if Larry wasn't available on 9-30-24. We were told only Matt could come to do the work. I then called the Manitowoc phone number for Smokey Barbier (920-682-2083) and spoke with Christina who looked up our 9-30-24 appointment and said Larry was available that day (9-30-24) and he would arrive between 8am and noon to maintain our furnace. We feel bad for Larry - he is a GREAT TECHNICIAN. We don't know what's going on but it not good customer service and not good business. read more

I've lived in a lot of houses and always could find a room that was cooler or warmer than others.. Not a Smokey house - The furnace and A/C were perfectly sized for the property and the ductwork was placed in a way that heated and cooled every room evenly. I'm very happy with their work read more
