This vendor, selling through Amazon in my case, advertises an option for purchasing 160oz bags of coffee for $29.99. When I received my item, I only received 32oz. After reaching out to them, they say it is my fault and that I should know better. This has happened twice now, with Amazon refunding me the first time and advising to NOT send back the product (food products are not returnable). Fast forward several months, and I see a similar deal, so I take a chance. Same thing, same response, only this time, more intimidating, accusing me of abusing them. Really? Amazon asked them to fulfill the remaining items... all I got was a refund. Since they shipped the partial order, they should be contractually obligated to fulfill the complete order. Too easy to get away with just issuing a refund. I even used Amazon's AI (Rufus) to confirm the pricing... twice as a matter of fact. So how is a normal, reasonable individual to blame? The seller faults Amazon, but how come this problem still persists months later? Why are they the ONLY seller having this problem (I haven't experienced this with any other Amazon seller)? They sent a return label, we returned the wrong product but they have never shipped the correct order and our credit card has not been refunded. i've been buying coffee from these folks exclusively simce 2017 and i have never been disappointed in their products, shipping, or service. about every 15 weeks my wife and i buy 10 lbs. of their sulawesi roasted beans [402°] which we use in our french press. Its a big purchase (as low as $90 and high of $133 depending on the coffee commodity market) but it works out to about 10¢ a cup which compared to Starbucks is a steal and against K-cups at ~50¢ is still fabulous. i cant understand the complaints about their service. the few times they have had any issues they always responded within 24 hours and took care of things. i hope those who are unhappy find a solution because these folks are the best! read more

This was my second time ordering from Smokin' Beans. I've tried a couple different roasts on the Kenyan coffee, and they are all amazing. I also tried the coffee from Burundi and Rwanda, which are also very good. What I love about this company is that the beans come in freshly roasted, and the time between order and receipt is pretty quick. I placed my order on February 5th, and the beans were roasted and in my kitchen on February 12th. This is not just drop me some bulk coffee you roast whenever. You get what you pay for (in terms of the wait). Trust me, you'd rather have a coffee you wait a week or two for than a coffee that has been sitting in the warehouse for months but gets to you the next day. It makes a HUGE difference. I also reached out to customer service about the kinds of coffee I was looking for, and have some ideas about what to order next time! After numerous attempts to call and speak to anyone there, all I kept getting was voicemail. I eventually wrote an email. I have been buying green unroasted beans from Smokin' Beans for about two years now and have been very pleased with the quality. They are fresher, cleaner, and I get consistently better results than I did from the beans that I was getting from Sweet Maria's. I got my beans from Sweet Maria's for about five years and they have a very good web site with a lot more information but about one batch in four that I got was almost undrinkable at any roast level and generally their seemed very dry with a muted first crack.
