Close to home, has the basic stuff that I need. The guy that works here and makes some of the pieces is very nice and extremely helpful! The older lady that works here is nice if you go in person. However, if you call the store and she answers she is rude as hell. I have even heard her being rude to people on the phone when I was in the store. Not sure why this is! read more

Been coming here for the many incarnations over the past five years. They maintain knowledge about the products they sell and strive for quality as well. While the delta eight movement happened this place stayed in the know about legalities on the products and kept the buyer informed as well. The products they sell stay above the rest who sell similar. Never have I received a faulty pipe or fogger and the buds have maintained freshness through out. I came back to smokin glass almost immediately after getting back into Dallas after 2 years of living away. I walked in to see shelves LINED with acrylic "waterpipes". The one case they have with pipes are all fumed clear spoons and they actually wanted 50 dollars for a fumed China spoon. I took a look at the tiny shelf of glass "waterpipes" and asked the price on the only semi interesting piece, which was a half worked piece with an implosion cab on the side. They wanted 200+ for it. WHAAAAAAA???? LOL, I proceeded to ask if they had any nice glass and listed at least 5 artists before getting this annoyed response "We have over 180 artists in here I can't begin to remember them all" EXCUSE ME????? Why do you work in a glass shop then?! THAT IS YOUR JOB. (Btw if there are actually 180 artists in the shop they are counting each and every one of the Chinese glass blowers) They don't even carry scientific glass brands anymore. Do not waste your hard earned money on a glass shop who doesn't even know the biggest names in glass that are known worldwide. If you live in this area please just look online or go to the glass house texas and save your money and get some cool glass for the same price. I did buy a medtainer because I don't like leaving without purchasing something from a local shop, but Smokin Glassworks you need to invest in a trip to AGE next year or just look online and catch on up to 2016 because your shop and knowledge of glass is straight out of '91. Absolutely the worst head shop in the DFW. Cheap glass marked up 5 times the wholesale price, and nothing that you can't get easily off the internet at 1/5th the price they are attempting to get. Zero heady glass by known artists, they showcase some local artist called "Boxfan Willie""s work that is available anywhere and act they like they have exclusivity to sell it. Very strange staff. The old lady in her 70's who helped me was the bitchiest head shop worker I have ever met. I was going to spend some money but the old woman really made me want to go elsewhere. read more

It's my favorite head shop I've been to hands down. I've been going there since the first week of opening and have bought numerous spoon pipes, water pipes, bubblers anything you can think of even glass blunts. In my opinion it totally beats retro and is a toss up with dragons breath but the proximity of smoking glassworks is just too damn convenient haha to even consider driving out to anywhere else. Premium glass I've dropped one pipe on concrete 3 times and it didn't break until the 4th drop haha I would most definitely recommend smoking glassworks, any location but especially the McKinney one. I'm actually on my way up there to buy a new water pipe right now.hit it up and Che it out for yourself. read more

Always out of stock on what I need. I prefer Amazon and realized smoking glass works has been price gouging me! But Amazon does not not run out of stock and has all the same stuff. Plus's there associates are uneducated and don't know the basics of retail. Rude as hell and are costing the owners business and that is sad. read more

I haven't bought glass from here, simply because I'm not a big glass person but I do buy my raw papers here. I've had conversations with the owner and they even lowered prices on the grinders I've bought. They're really cool people and I don't understand the negative comments. I guess at least one person would complain even if it were a perfect store. I highly recommend this store to everyone who does smoke, really cool people. read more

I have dealt with all of the smoke shops in the Mckinney area. This shop by far was outstanding. I have high standards and do not give out compliments liberally unless someone goes above and beyond. In this case Alex who is the assistant manager at the shop, had to put up with me calling in four different times as well as coming in the store to purchase a product. I had a test I had to pass so I had several questions. She put my mind at ease, she was very thorough and straightforward. I recommend that you not bother with any other store. Alex has you covered. As a side note oh, I had purchased product from Klowdz that they recommended and it's failed so I followed the instructions to the T. When I called and spoke with the owner, I was given attitude and gibberish, he was very off-putting and dismissive. So at the very least do not patronize that store.
