I'm an RD, I knew I was eating right and getting plenty of exercise and generally living a healthy life but I just couldn't get a handle on my health. At one point I was seriously concerned that I couldn't keep living like that, afraid to eat anything because it caused so much pain that I'd rather starve. Going to Dr. Purdy was a last-ditch effort, honestly, I really didn't know what I was going to do if this didn't work out, and to be perfectly honest I was not very hopeful because if gastroenterologists couldn't figure it out why would an ND be able to? But I was desperate and had to try, and I'm so thankful that I did. I feel like I have my life back now. It didn't happen overnight, it was actually quite a bit of work, but after 3 appointments and some dietary changes over the last 3-4 months I feel like I can live my freaking life again. I'm no longer in so much pain that I just look forward to the next time I get to be asleep so I can have a little relief from it. I actually look forward to the waking hours, too, which is huge. I can't thank Dr. Purdy enough for the help. It takes some work and commitment to lifestyle and dietary changes, but if you're willing to stick it out it's definitely worth the consultation with her to see if she's a good fit for you.
