In fact, the judge had to inform both me and my wife's attorney that he was not representing me. Throughout the case, he did not provide me with documents, updates, or meaningful communication regarding my matter. I had to obtain information about my own case through the online court portal rather than receiving updates directly from my attorney. Based on my experience, I was extremely dissatisfied with the level of communication, representation, and transparency regarding his billing. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering hiring this attorney carefully confirm his hourly rate, billing practices, and exactly what services are included before retaining him. He did not file the case in the correct jurisdiction . I am a client that gave him the address and zip code along with the copy of the lease and the name of the tenant. Micheal got paid for his services and I even paid him to hire the sheriff to evict the tenant. The sheriff department too, took the fees and never said that the property is not in their jurisdiction . When I asked the sheriff to come to the property and Evict the tenant, only then they told me that the property was not in their jurisdiction, and they can not do any think about it . The case has to be filed allover again. Micheal was supposed to file the case in Kenmore and not in Buffalo. or vise versa. Micheal refused to take responsibility for his work and he is redoing the work the proper way. He wasted 3 month of my time and his fees and the sheriff fees for this. Now I have to start all over again. His lack of knowledge and experience is going to cost me another three months of lost rent and another attorney and the sheriff department fees all over again . Hiring Micheal dwan was a big mistake. He doesn't know his job.
