I landed at Happy Basset thanks to their membership in an RV hospitality program and it turned out…read moreto be one of those stops that felt like I had accidently stumbled into the exact right vibe for the evening. The taproom was lively and a bit chaotic. I was completely caught off guard by the night's entertainment. Line dancing. Yes. I have never seen so many short skirts and cowboy boots in one place. I spent the evening focused on my beer and my laptop to avoid a pretty blonde confronting me for staring. With that said, it was a cheerful kind of energy and everyone was having a grand time. The crowd was upbeat, the music was loud and cheery and was able to soak in the atmosphere and write a few Yelp reviews. And after two tasty brews, I headed back out to the campervan where I ended up undisturbed with a restful night. You can't hear the inside outside and that's a good thing. I had their special ( bierocks) with their fresh cut fries and a side of fried pickle spears. The bierock was good and tasty for me the meat could have had a little more seasoning but I understand it needs to fit all palates. A little pepper got it my taste lol. Fresh cut fries were good and the fried pickles were good. Wished they had a half order since I got it with my meal lol. The staff was awesome Key and Jessie made sure I never ran low on my drink and kept up with all the beers needing drawn. They have plenty of TVs and a large dance floor which I'm going to guess gets busy over the weekends. I'm going to enjoy going back

The other day I stopped in here to purchase some pretzels. I have been to this location inside of…read morethe Manhattan Town Center Mall several times. The food is usually good... although sometimes you can tell it's been sitting for awhile and the employees are usually VERY young with little experience and no customer service skills, but I'm willing to cut them a break... until now. Walk in with 2 people and 2 people are in front of us. No employee can be found and there aren't even enough pretzels made for each of us to have one. After about 1 minute a young red headed girl peeks her head around the corner from the back while eating something. She immediately puts whatever she was eating down and proceeds to lick and suck each of her left fingers except for her thumb. She then starts to walk out to greet us and wipes her nose on the backside of her hand. I'm thinking "Wow I've only ever seen this on those reality TV shows with hidden cameras." She goes directly to helping the customers in front of us without EVER washing her hands! We immediately turned around and walked off. I decided to look back just to see if she would actually serve them without washing her hands and sure enough she went right to it. Needless to say we will NEVER be buying pretzels from this location again. And a call to the Health Inspector might be in order.

I was given a job offer and told to show up April 9th and 10th for orientation. The HR person I…read morespoke to never told me where to go and didn't give me a time to show up. I started calling 2 weeks before I was to show up with no answer and finally 10 days before I left a message. Now a day before I should have left Milwaukee to go to Topeka she finally answers the phone and tells me that she hadn't heard from me so I was made inactive because she didn't know if I was showing up. I clearly told her that I was not declining the offer. Now I have two storage units filled with everything from my house except my refrigerator, stove, and bedroom set. She also told me that if I had shown up I wouldn't have had a job so it's a good thing I did call because otherwise I'd be sitting there stranded in Topeka not knowing one person and not having a job. Unbelievable!

Attention Drivers!!! You do not want to pick up any loads…read morehere!! 1.) The Broker (especially Landstar ones) will not disclose ahead of time that Frito-Lay will be expecting you to go WAY OUT OF ROUTE about 165 miles to avoid the mountains to Salt Lake City. So of course no I-70W, and no to the big majority of I-80W. All of the routes take you up I-25N and up through Casper, so you basically make a huge hump out of normal route over I-80W. You will not be compensated for the extra miles & not told about it until after you are finished being loaded. This affects your overhead & expenses. 2.) They DO NOT TRUST DRIVER'S to actually take their bogus freight revenue stealing loads on their expected routes, fully knowing they aren't PAYING you for those additional miles. So you will have to provide fuel/scale reciepts to prove you actually took the money/time wasting route, in addition to being tracked. Which begs the question of if you are tracked why are they so paranoid to put you out by spending money on extra fuel up/scaling if you don't need them? I will answer that- because YOUR TIME & MONEY doesn't matter to them. Of course you avoid high elevation with potato chips, but this is extreme uncompensated BS. At least be forth coming & PAY DRIVER'S for those additional miles...but they still won't because them not paying you for that mileage covers them if any of their poorly sealed potato chip bag seal breaks. They put that cost on us driver's & still claim it as a loss later. This is the biggest disrespectful company I have been to besides a Food Lion. Now let's get to the dreaded loading time. 3.) They have HORRID WAIT TIMES!10 hours to load. This is NOT how you do business- EVER. They will make you run your clock right out of hours & as you can see if you read other driver's comments collectively, they have their security tell driver's generic responses all ready to go....Security claims to know "nothing" & they will tell you "the paperworks not on site." What a joke. How many driver's do you tell that lie to as seen in the complaints here & still KNOW NOTHING? lol 4.) If your delivery is going to the Frito Lay plant in Salt Lake City, that is a crock as well. Appt. time is not adhered to & a 6.5 hr wait to unload. They do not allow drivers to park on their property. They tell you to go down the street by a dirt lot- which when you get there has "No Parking" signs every couple of feet. Then you see a paved parking lot with tons of smashed glass & debis where you could park or spin around- that is IF a cop isn't sitting right in the middle like there was. lol Best to go to Sapp Bros & park until after they call you. After you do get unloaded they leave your trailer filled with debris. Drivers save yourself the headache, lost revenue and time and find freight to haul with a company that aren't a bunch of jack you around disrespectful crooks.
