After much investigation to find a smoothie without banana, strawberry or mango, I got a good one. And the staff one time was good.... But the last time I went, I asked about whether the drink had multivitamin powder in it, and what kind of protein it contained... and the kid's like 'it's just regular protein.' I tried to ask if it was pea protein or whey protein or what... 'no, it's just your normal protein.' Other questions were met with similarly imperceptible, witless responses. He couldn't even give or show me a paper menu showing what supplements are automatically included in what drinks. 'You have to go online.' What an idiot. It's also $10 for a medium (albeit huge) drink. Between that and not being able to know or trust what's in your drink, thanks to the dozy halfwits working there, I think I'll just make something at home. read more

This smoothie overall tasted amazing. Very refreshing and sweet. However, my bowl was noticeably not filled with the açaí smoothie. I went back into the store to ask the woman who was working if it was made correctly. She insisted that it was, although as you can see based on my picture it's not even half filled with the smoothie portion. Every picture that I seen online, the bowl has more açaí smoothie in it. There was another lady who ordered after me she got the Bee Sting and her bowl was filled correctly. I am not sure where the ball was dropped when it came to making my bowl, but it was disappointing to not receive the proper portion sizes. Bowls are 9.95. If mine was filled correctly, it would have been 5 stars easily! read more

Decided to stop in this morning and was met by friendly, helpful staff, clean environment, and lots of creative smoothie options. I went with the vegan pineapple spinach smoothie per their suggestion in a size medium (which is huge and inexpensive) and it's quite delicious! Everything on the menu is gluten free and they have substitutes for food sensitivities/allergies. Only thing I suggest is using compostable, more sustainable cups, straws, etc. I understand that this would make the product a little more expensive, but to me it's worth it! My wife had told me about Smoothie King from her days as a student at LSU, so when the sign went up for one opening right by our house, she was ecstatic. I was very excited to try these famous smoothies as well, because I like the thought of replacing other fast food options with something healthier once in a while. So I picked us up two smoothies: Mixed Berry and Peanut Butter Banana. The mixed berry (my wife's choice) was excellent. Mine however, was very difficult to drink (peanut butter). I can understand that mine would be thicker than the berry smoothie, but it was hard to watch my wife slurp hers down while I continued to wait for mine to thaw out. Next time, I'll be getting something other than peanut butter. Still, it's a great option for lunch! read more

A medium was like $5 and in the size of a cup for a polar pop at a circle k! I can't believe the quality for the price. I visited here with my family and really enjoyed it. We ordered 5 different smoothies and they were all delicious. Love that they have a vegan menu and that they use real fresh ingredients, not even frozen fruit. Much better for you than places like Pulp that use a lot of sorbet and artificial flavors. Also love that they have $5 deals on Fridays. While we were there, the owner introduced himself, gave us some coupons, and told us about the business. I stumbled into Smoothie King on the day of their grand opening. I didn't know what to expect... At the counter they were so nice, smiling and welcoming. They asked if I had ever been in a Smoothie King and when I said no, the continued to ask questions to find my special selection. It was very good!
