Starbucks - Sam Houston Ave. (Huntsville)…read more What a wonderful group of morning college baristas! So friendly full of smiles. Located on corner of Sam Houston Avenue and Avenue I. Very close to College. I stopped by here for few hours to catch up on some work and enjoy this recently built interior. (2022) It offers good-sized parking with about twenty spaces. I ordered in my personal cup, Earl Grey Black Tea with Perfect Protein Bar. The Hot Tea was good as usual full of Lavender and Bergamot flavors. Protein bar, I wouldn't recommend. It has a strange texture and taste to it... Sandy. But I know most Starbucks locations carry them. Not my cup of tea. This modern space is large, brightly lit and inviting. Plenty of seating for you to relax, work or study if you're a college student. As soon as you walk in, you will find to the left a spot to place and Pick-Up your order, along with two tall tables with four chairs. To the right, you'll find one large leather bench with plenty of outlets and USB ports, four tables and three chairs. Additionally, you'll discover against large corners of the windows, conference-sized table with six chairs. Also available inside, five tables with ten chairs. The hard-covered patio is pretty large, allowing you to spread out and not feel crowded. Here, you can enjoy ten tables with twenty-four chairs. Overall, it was a great experience and I'm looking forward to returning.

The cookies were so warm and the cookie ice cream combo was heaven! It traditionally comes with 2 scoops but I asked for only one because I wanted a good ice cream to cookie ratio. Smalls Sliders keeps things intentionally simple, and for the most part, it works. The brand leans…read morehard into its unique, minimalist concept, delivering craveable sliders with quick service and a fun, high-energy vibe. It's a great option when you want something fast but still a little different from the usual burger spots -- just know there are a few logistical quirks that come with it. Pros: * Excellent location that makes it an easy go-to when the craving hits * Super simple menu (and that's a good thing) -- no overthinking, just sliders done right * Friendly, upbeat customer service that matches the brand's energy * Unique concept and branding that genuinely stands out Cons: * On the pricey side for sliders, especially if you're actually hungry * Exiting can be a headache during peak traffic times * Drive-thru is tight, and larger vehicles will definitely feel the squeeze Overall, Smalls Sliders delivers a fun, well-executed experience that hits the mark more often than not.

Why 5 stars? Because this was a great place to stop on my way back from Dallas…read more --- --- --- A couple days before I headed up to Dallas, I saw an Instagram ad for Smalls Sliders in Willis - I had never heard of it before. I sent it to my wife and she had seen it on social media herself. We were both intrigued and added it to our very lengthy list of places we wanted to try. Fast forward 48 or so hours, and I'm on my way home from Dallas. I ask the wife: "would you like me to stop at the new slider place and pick up some lunch?" She opts to bring the kiddo and just meet me there. On this day, a new record was set for us learning that a place exists, and going to said place. We arrive and it turns out, approximately 4,000 other people saw the same Instagram ad. The line for the drive-thru is so long that it's causing traffic to backup on 1097. Fortunately, we were dining in (aka on the covered patio), so we were both able to park right away, despite there being only a few spots. I got the sliders with bacon and thought they were great. We got some of their smauce, which is similar to Cane's sauce, as well as queso for dipping the fries in. I can't say I've ever dipped fries in queso before, but I like fries and I like queso, so I was not mad about it! I can't say we come to Willis often, but if we are ever in the area in the future, this will be on our short list!

The donuts themselves have zero flavor and rely completely on their glaze or frosting. The coffee offerings are extremely limited. We each got an iced coffee with some vanilla syrup that tasted weakly of coffee and then strangely a little more like watered down chocolate milk when we added creamer. Speaking of creamer, apparently they don't have any to put into your coffee (unless you request a flavored one) and instead give you the little plastic cups of creamers which is annoying and generates unnecessary waste. The building seemed reasonably clean inside but the decor wasn't especially inviting. The staff was polite but the girl running the counter spoke barely above a whisper and seemed a little disoriented by any questions we asked her. Based on our single experience we're glad to have tried a Shipley Do-nuts but can cross it off the list of places we would visit again when there are so many other coffee and/or donut places that offer a better product in the area.
