I decided to go here for lunch based on my Yelp search. We came in a little before they opened and…read moresat outside. There were two other families waiting already. Once they were open, it took a long time between us being given menus to finally getting our food- 50 minutes. They should've given us our side while we were waiting for the board. We ordered a side of salami and Swedish cheese and the hairy pig board. I enjoyed the side, but the board not so much. The board consisted of wild boar sausage with broche bun, wild boar taco, peppercorn fries, and wild boar lasagna. The board was quite heavy and salty. I didn't have enough stomach space to even try the taco. I did enjoy the fries, but it's not enough for me to want to return.

When staying next to Gamla Stan we read that this was a place not to be missed..only it was so easy…read moreto miss and we had to give a pretty good search before finally locating it. This place is tucked below street level and is very intimate and downright cozy with its low beam wood ceiling, wood tables in every cranny it can fit to accommodate guests, and a tiny little bar. You can find this place outside by the wooden sign with the boar on it, then simply peer down into the low window and if you see a hairy pig nomming on a sausage, congratulations! You're in the right place. We stopped in not long before closing time and that was probably the only reason we were able to get a much coveted table. The barkeep was nice and let us put in a quick order while also getting us drinks. Unfortunately for me, there were not very many gluten free tapa options on the menu, but there were a few naturally gf. The salami and sausages were thought to have gluten so I went with the smoked shell on shrimp, a cheese dip, and some salad with olives. I wasn't crazy about the smoked shrimp but the olives and cheese were good. The husband enjoyed a sausage in bun which he said was great. Overall we liked the vibe and I think if you can eat the locally sourced meats like my husband it's probably a pretty solid place. If you're gf or allergy you'll probably still be hungry at the end of the meal like I was.

The food was amazing (every dish was something new to us) and the service provided by the staff was very welcoming. The restaurant had an elegant atmosphere and was perfect for what we were looking for. I would recommend to anyone visiting Stockholm!

I only had 12% battery on my phone and I had no idea where to eat, so I just searched restaurants in the area on Google maps and Smak came up. I immediately walked to the spot and hoped they had room for me. And they did! I was so pleasantly surprised. The server explained how everything worked: all the plates are small/tapas style and represent certain, so you pick how many courses you want (3, 5,7) . Around 3 of the plates represented 1 main course dish. On my first visit, I went with 3 dishes, but was still hungry; the next visit, I did 5 and I was very satisfied, so I suggest doing 5. My favorite dishes/flavors include WASABI ("Kosho" sea bream, cantalope, tomato); CHILI ("Steak Tartare" sirloin, leek, kohlrabi); ASH ("Sous Vide" cod, leek, cream); GREEN CURRY ("Glaze" porkbelly, broccoli, sesame); ALMNÄS TEGEL ("Crisp" chanterelle, venison, rye bread); THYME ("Carpaccio" sirloin, foie gras, brioche). As for the desserts, I loved LICORICE ("Sorbet" raspberry, caramel, white chocolate); SEA BUCKTHORN ("Foam" milk chocolate, star anise); BLUEBERRY ("Tartelett" browned butter, cream, vanilla). Everything was excellent and I wish this place had a location closer to me so I could go all the time. Oh well, I'll just have to return to Stockholm again so I can come back. :)

We've eaten one dinner elsewhere, but even then we came (late) for drinks here - this place is FABULOUS. The food - in true "Fusion" style (and tapas size) is without exception EXCELLENT and unique - and each of the two bartenders (neither the official expert) were creative and listened to our requests/ preferences.

No drinks, no water, nothing. Then the food arrived. Excellent first dishes, very small portions for the price but good quality. 5 minutes later our drinks arrived. A gin and tonic is not the best drink with food and at 140kr I wouldn't have ordered it as a pre drink if I'd have known I needed to wait that long. It was however very good, just unwanted at that time. I ordered a glass of red and it came very quickly and was perfect for the food. So here lies the problem. Excellent food but small portions and too expensive. If you charge these prices you have to have perfect service. It's not ok to wait almost an hour from walking in to getting a drink. The food and staff were excellent but you have to seat people and give them drinks within minutes of walking in. If you can't do this then take on more people, it's not that hard, especially when you're charging these prices. Well go back mid week but if we wait that long again it will be the last time

It's not huge but does have an upstairs and downstairs area for seating. There are also a bunch of seats at the bar upstairs. We had a table booked and I waited at the bar as I was early for our booking. The bar tender made me a nice pisco sour while I waited. The list of drinks and cocktails is fairly large with a big list of wines from around the place. We chose an Austrian red from the list which was very well priced and excellent. The menu is made up of small tapas like dishes to share, main courses and larger main courses to share. The list ranges from oysters, pork cheeks, cold cuts, razor clams and many other dishes. I loved the beef carpaccio, blinis with caviar & bone marrow, razor clams and the oysters. Less impressed with the fried artichoke as it came with a very salty aioli and the pork cheeks lacked a bit of flavour. For dessert I ordered the Agnes Mess which is their take on an Eton Mess and it's big enough to share with another person. It was divine and the citrus ice cream along with the sponge cake and chocolate wafers made it a divine combination. I would come back here just for that dessert alone :-) Service here was first class and the staff were super friendly and quick. I really enjoyed my evening here and look forward to coming back again.
