I leave pictures at restaurants, but if I took pictures at a gym, people would be creeped out, so I…read moreain't doin' all that. I have been on this app for a long time so you will just have to trust me, and if you do trust me, then I can tell you that this is a 4.77-star gym, which we will round up to a 5. First let's hit the positives. This is a big gym. If you like big gyms, you're in the right place. And you're going to get a great workout. Unless I have to get back to work, I usually work out for about 1 hr and 15 minutes. If I need to get back to work, about 15-30 minutes but intensity way up (shorter time = higher intensity). If you want Smith machines, you will find heaven. The big 'negative' is that it's no racks but the Smith machines and free weights will get the job done. If you go at an off-peak time, you will have plenty of room for free weights. If it's lunch or dinner, good luck! They have two Pec Decks and one is the best Pec Deck I have ever experienced. It controls the correct motion/for for you. I feel a superb burn after using that mfer! You also get a bunch of universal machines with cables, an ab workout room, and more cardio equipment than you would find in a training facility for Ultra Marathoners in Argentina. Stairclimbers--I like the stairclimbers but they don't have as many hang-on-for-dear-life areas as AF did. But that can be a good thing. I don't recommend using the one closest to the rail/front door because people walk through that little crevice and it's awkward--it's always going to be awkward when you drip sweat on a stranger. Well .... most of the time. The staff is great. Always working and friendly. Don't listen to the Karens and Chads. For the record, I have never had a problem with any Karens but have yet to meet a Chad I like. The bathrooms are okay. Only two urinals and two stalls. This doesn't seem to be enough for the amount of traffic they get but we survive. Overall, I highly recommend this gym. Keep in mind, they charge your debit card, not your credit card. Also, side note to the dudes in the gym--the other dudes there aren't your competition; they are there for the same exact reasons as you. You're competing against yourself (if you want to be happy and have a sustainable fitness lifestyle).

This afternoon, I felt extremely unsatisfied with the YMCA, specifically this branch. I am writing this review today due to an extremely unprofessional and unpleasant experience I had with a front desk lady at the Davidson location. I had just rejoined with a different branch, and my information wasn't processed through to this location, and the front desk lady was unhelpful, and simply not friendly at all, and had made multiple comments to not only myself but to whom had joined me as well. The YMCA is a Christian non-profit organization, and I believe as a Christian and as an older woman with life experience especially in a job setting, you should understand that you never know truly what a single person has going on in their lives, no matter what smile, humor, and youth they bring to you. I wish this woman well, but no one; no matter of any age should be treated in such ways, especially in a Christian environment, and that implies to all, including myself. I just wish to see better treatment towards customers and members from employees at this location, and understand cruel judgement in any form isn't the Christian way.

I'm not usually one for organized / group exercise, but Kadi Fit changed my mind tonight…read more I had my first kardio dance class tonight, as part of the "your first class is free" offer. For starters, the studio in goregous! It's in an repurposed warehouse space with other businesses. Beautiful hardwood floors, bright lights, plenty of space (with a nice area with a couch & coffee table & literature wall) & a booming sound system. You're greeted as soon as you walk in at the checkin / reception counter. Kadi Fit utilizes the key ring card as your membership card, so you'll scan it when you come in. Katie (the owner) & one of her employees, Emma, are welcoming, super sweet , & were great to talk to. They didn't pressure me into becoming a member tonight (which I'm going to join as soon as I get back into the working world). I got to the studio a little early, so I watched the Primal class, which looked almost like a prep course for boot camp. :D However, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves & pushing their bodies to the extreme. Now, for the kardio class. WOW, so much fun! 45 minutes of high energy cardio with a fantastic music soundtrack. Katie & Megan (I believe that was her name) took turns leading high impact dances moves & steps. I really enjoyed myself! There were a lot of women in this class, but we still had plenty of space to move - we sure needed it! Katie & Megan had us all over the floor. Katie not only offers a ton of class options, she also teaches lifestyle. Her online site features a blog with plenty of useful information. The site also offers you to book classes & services online as well. I can't wait to become a member!

Been coming to this gym for awhile now and it's great for my needs. They have most equipment you…read morewould expect or want in a gym and regularly update the equipment as needed. The staff is always friendly and the gym is pretty clean. They never run out of wipes, which is appreciated in our current environment, and have them spread all around the gym. There's a huge exercise room for classes, although I have yet to take a class here, and also a nice size training room. The gym isn't that big, so it was surprising when I saw how much they packed inside. I think you get your moneys worth with a membership here. Depending on the time of day, parking can get a little crowded, but even if you can't park directly in front of the building, there's plenty of parking nearby. The location is great too, just off Gilead Rd, near Starbucks, Walgreens, etc. I've been very happy here. There are just a few machines that aren't available that I wish they had. But like I said, they are regularly updating and swapping out equipment, so maybe I just need to inquire about what I'm interested in.

I've been using this Anytime Fitness location for over a year now. From cardio machines to weight…read morelifting and an exercise/yoga studio, you can pretty much find everything you need to get in a good work out. It's not a super large gym, perhaps like some others in the area. However, it is a really good size and you never really have to wait for machines or equipment. It seems that they try to keep the equipment up-to-date and every now and then you will see some new/updated equipment on the floor for use. It's also not crowded (usually the regular 1-3 people are there), at least during the super early morning time, when I go. If you go later in the morning, there are a lot more people there and it can become a little crowded. Either way, it's always your average, typical gym folks there that are considerate of others, never any grunters or ones that make you feel out of place when working out. This Anytime Fitness is located in a shopping center with a variety of establishments such as Walgreens, Starbucks, FedEx, and many other eateries and stores. So it is a great location with plenty of parking and things around which may be needed before or after a workout. The owner, manager and trainers are very nice and helpful when needed. If you live in the area, definitely try out this Anytime Fitness for your workouts.
