Had to get the tint removed from all 4 windows in order to pass my Brake Tag because as it turns out, even though I bought my car used from a dealer, aaaaaannd it had passed the Brake Tag inspection last year, the tint was illegal. Bummer! So I wasn't happy about this process and my sense of trust took a hit. I mention this because, this is the attitude and worry I carried with me to my experience here. And oh how nice it is to be proven wrong. Scheduling an appointment online was easy (though I had incorrectly selected the service required for my car). This place was super friendly and professional. They set expectations well, explained the tint laws, and successfully, cleanly (except for a wee bit of sticky stuff here and there), removed the tint from my windows. I was dreading going back to the brake tag place, so the technician here took extra care to do another reading on my back window so that I could take a photo with me when I went back to the Brake Tag place. Look, I was kind of a pain-in-the-butt client, and they were totally kind to me. I felt good about my experience there. If I had to do it all over again, I'd choose them again. read more

According to the owner Chris Daigle "If you are going to complain about these things [he] will just give you a refund." Apparently leaving debris between the window and film is according to Chris a normal and accepted result when they apply films at Snappy Tint. To me the 2 weeks they tell you to wait for the bubbles to settle is more of a ploy to get folks to forget about the tint and it's defects. In addition to the bubbles and debris they left in the film and would/could not fix they initially left residue streaking down the side of my car's exterior and interior. Chris had agreed to provide some free services for the inconvenience but when I brought the car in to show him the tint issues he was unapologetic and upset that I was complaining about their work. He spent a total of 30 seconds looking at the defects before concluding he would just remove the tint. I suggest to take your business somewhere that the owner and staff care about quality and are professional enough to apologize and try and make right their shortcomings. I'll try and add the photos if it'll let me. Otherwise see Google review. Update: As I was waiting in the front area for Chris to take my car back I heard Chris ask Cindy if "that asshole is still here." Being a little concerned now for a total lack in professionalism and volatile mood of this guy I asked Cindy if she could get Chris so I could talk to him again. I told Chris I heard he thinks I'm an asshole but I'm not sure why or what I've done. He said I've been an asshole since I first came in because I was trying to extort his business. To be clear I had contacted Chris and Cindy about the residue that was left on my car because I was going to post a review and just leave it be but it seemed unfair if I don't reach out and see if they wanted to right the issue (no I didn't ask for anything Chris offered some free protective film.) Wanting to give the public an honest review is therefore extortion in his mind. Anyway after telling Chris I didn't want him working on my car and I rather take my car elsewhere for removal I asked for my keys to which he told me to call the cops. After a F@#& off by him, he threw me my keys and I left. Don't know what else I can say that this experience doesn't already. Hopefully a handful of people will see this before Chris pays Yelp to remove it. read more

I hired Snappy to tint my shop's windows. I just opened up a jewelry shop on Magazine Street in November and was not aware of the blinding sun that was shining through my windows until I was squinting at my customers. It was a serious issue with my jewelry too because it tarnished the jewelry. Furthermore, it made my shop an oven. It created a serious green-house effect and made the shop hotter than it was outside, so I needed to do something to fix it. I found Snappy on Google... I called and left a message and Chris called me back promptly. He came by the shop shortly afterwards and checked out my windows, they are pretty big. He suggested a nice see-thru film so my customers can still see my jewelry but it would block out a lot of the harmful rays. The job was very well done... it looks so nice! And it fit our budget. The windows look so much better and I have already noticed a difference in temperature. Chris was personable and funny... we cracked a few jokes while he was working. He came during hours that were convenient for me and would not interfere with my store hours. There were some words exchanged with the owner/manager calling the customer an asshole behind his back. That's just loony and simply not the right way to treat a customer. I have used Snappy Tint twice now. First, nearly 2 years ago, they applied 3M crystalline to my car. Crystalline is the best product around and Snappy is the only licensed 3M installer in town. They did an excellent job and their waiting room is honestly more comfortable than my own living room. This is the second car that I've had done by Snappy Tint. The first time I had to get my old tint removed from my car because it wasn't legal in Orleans Parish (not done here), so I took it to Snappy. He removed it for me and recommended that I do ceramic tinting. It's not dark at all, and totally legal, and best of all it keeps the heat out way better than any normal tint. When we built our home, the door we picked out had a lot of glass so we were looking for something to give us more privacy, but still allow the natural light to filter in the house. We are so happy Snappy Tint was recommended to us. They had plenty of options for us to choose from and they came to our home and put small samples on our door so we could really get a feel for what the final product would look like. Once we chose a design they put it on our door and were very professional and clean in the process. The end result is great! It looks like the door was made that way instead of it being a sticker, which is exactly what we were looking for. I was worried it would make our custom door look cheap, but you honestly cannot tell its not part of the actual glass. Since they've put it on we have gone through multiple seasons of weather changes and there is no change in the door.
