Discovered my broken drivers door window about 12 noon, called them and drove to their easy to get to location and I am not kidding I was home by 2:30 like it never happened. Short story: Great local company! My replacement was fast and communication was great. Price was good. Long story: A rock chipped my windshield and it had run right through the passenger side field of vision. Who sits in my passenger seat the most? My mom. And it bugged her. I had Broad Glass come out to my place to replace a pane of glass in my front window. They did not have tempered glass cut and would need a couple more weeks. They sent me an estimate for the job which I accepted and I heard nothing else for two MORE weeks. I finally called back again to find that they had not acted on my acceptance. When my friend called me to share that he was the victim of a smashed window this morning I knew where to send him, Broad Auto Glass on Tulane Avenue. He had called another place that was going to come out and fix his window, but not until Wednesday. I told him to call here first. Broad Glass had room to get him in today and at over $100 less than the other place had quoted him. They had his window fixed and ready for pick up in about 2 hours. While we were waiting my wife told a sweet story about how they had fixed our windshield a few years back and had taking the extra care to remove some stickers we had on the inside of our windshield and attached them to the new windshield. so sweet!! I came here to her back window replace after it was shattered. I got there as soon as it opened, and there was a small wait. I later came back and was told that it would take ~2 hours to replace the window. They quoted me at the lowest price, ~190 after taxes. They took a little under two hours, and all of the glass was vacuumed out of the back seat. The guy running the front desk was moving around a lot, and wasn't very attentive or friendly at first. But when things slowed down, he was friendly. Will bring my car here from now on! read more

Broad Glass has replaced multiple windshields on various Hondas for me. My only beef was in trying to get an actual OEM-style Honda windshield, which does NOT have the tinted band along the top. (I am tall and peer out at the road through the windshield area that for most people is nothing but sky or overhead tree limbs). My initial high hopes (but just "initial", read to the end please) for a great local experience were dashed when they did not follow my instructions. After clearing telling the desk guy I needed a windshield with no tint band, and then seeing it noted on my work order, they installed a windshield with the tinted band. Aargh! I agreed to try driving with it with the tint, but when I realized that night that yellow lights were appearing up through the tint as green, I took it back. I got the car back a second time, again with a tinted windshield. The manager behind the desk was profoundly embarrassed. Turns out they did initially install a non-tint-banded windshield, but that one cracked during installation and they sent out for another without reading the work order. It was the kind of compound calamity of errors that can happen to any of us. The third time was the charm; I got my windshield without a tint band. I lost a couple of extra hours back-and-forth, but in the end I got the service I expected. Incidentally, SafeLite--with whom my insurer appears to have a large national contract--does not stock and would not order a windshield without the tint band. That leaves Broad Glass in the clear, if you will pardon a pun. If--er, when--I need another windshield, I'll be back at Broad, and will make sure they pay close attention to my special instruction for a windshield without a tint band. read more

Solid and quick service! So my windshield had a chip in it for a while...and then it became a crack...and then became a problem. When I finally got around to addressing it, I called them. Got a voicemail, but then quickly got a call back. They were able to check inventory and confirm they had the glass I needed in stock and at a price that was at a fraction of the others' quotes. I got there right around when they opened, and then they took about an hour and a half (maybe 2?) to actually replace and set/seal the new windshield. There's a small waiting area, but I didn't want to be indoors given everything going on so I took a chair to sit outside along the sidewalk while I waited. They take same day walk-ins which is a lifesaver. I've had two urgent issues (cracked windshield and smashed window from a break-in) and they got both fixed the same day. WAY cheaper than a service like SafeLite. My windshield only cost around $230 here, but SafeLite quoted me approx $600. Reception is friendly and helpful, they pick up the phone quickly and give you an estimate of price and the time it'll take to fix it based on your make/model and the glass pieces they currently have in-stock, no long automated phone trees! This place had a decent amount of good reviews so I went twice to have chips "repaired". However the second time I went, the "repair" looked questionable to me so I asked the technician if it was repaired and he said yes. A few weeks later my windshield appears like this in my pictures. I called and went back in. I'm guessing it was the manager/owner who examined it. Whoever mentioned management is rude and has poor customer service in another review is spot on. The manager tried to avoid blame by saying there was another chip but you can clearly see in my photos the one repaired had grown and is the largest chip on my windshield. Closer, you would be able to see that it wasn't filled properly. I told him that the technician had informed me it was repaired and the manager/owner tried arguing with me forever while talking down/mansplaining to me what a repair is as if I don't know. He stated that repairs weren't always guaranteed & his offer/warranty to fix the problem was to deduct the cost of repair from a new windshield so it's still hundreds, oh and right before Christmas during a pandemic. If it had been fixed properly the first time, I wouldn't be upset about that offer, however I don't believe that was the case and management was unwilling to take any blame for their poor quality. Then his quote with that discount was equal to what another place quoted me WITHOUT a discount so they are overpriced as well. I informed him that he lost my business and I would not be giving a good review and he didn't seem to care at all. Update: I also find it this odd and, quite frankly chauvinistic after the way I was talked to there, that my review is the only one this company has responded to. The receptionist is a trip, i like her. I've had a windshield replaced here before, and during my most recent visit, i had the weathering strips on my doors replaced. Unfortunately for me, those pieces only came from the dealership, and I despise dealerships simply because of the heinous mark-ups they do. Like, for real, those mfr's ought be put in jail for the things they charge to people, like I've ran across parts at dealerships that have literally a four hundred percent mark-up price tag! These guys also do pretty speedy work. They're not the type that will keep your car for days, or even all day. Although I went for an estimate Mark said they had the part and could do it while I waited. I opted to wait for another day to bring it in. I don't recommend this place. I bought a brand new windshield an it still fogs up 24/7 as if it's still a crack in my windshield. They didn't seal it properly and the man who worked on my windshield straight up told me he didn't check for leaks which floored me....I guess it's because I was a young black male. I'm sure if I was a Caucasian I would have got the full service I paid for. To prevent myself from getting arrested an resorting to violence, I'd rather tell the people of yelp my experience so nobody will have to go through the B.S I go through every day I drive my car. The fact of the matter is folks don't take pride in good service, all they want is the money.
