Office Location and Professionalism: Booking my consult was easy and staff were very communicative. The location was in a great part of town and the office was very welcoming! On the day of my consult, I was pleasantly greeted by Alyssah who had me complete forms to get me ready for my appointment. Consults: Consult day was with Shirley and Dr. Hahm. Shirley was patient with me as she explained the process, different procedures and then got me ready to meet Dr Hahm. Credentials wise, Dr Hahm is not only Board Certified, he is also specialized in reconstructive surgery. While I am certain there are many other extremely qualified Surgeons, for me, this was the cherry on top! I pointed out a few other areas that I was potentially interested in (thighs and armpit areas) and Dr. Hahm actually explained why it would NOT be ideal based on my shape, etc... Boy, am I glad I listened to his advice! I felt so comfortable that I booked my procedure the following week!! Pre-Procedure & Procedure Day: Nurse Megan was wonderful and called me a week beforehand as well as the day prior to review directions and set expectations. On procedure day, again warmly greeted by Alyssah and the nurse Megan who took me in to begin prep. Note that before your procedure, I met with Dr Hahm again to go over any last minute questions or other areas. Stuck with original plan and then he marked up his canvas! Procedure room was exactly as expected...nice and comfortable! Definitely awake during the procedure. I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to pain so I made full use of the laughing gas. So, if that's you, I'd highly recommend. Haha! Nurse Megan and Dr Hahm are very attentive and constantly check-in with you throughout the procedure to ensure you're feeling comfortable. Before you know it, BING BANG BOOM...Done! All supplies are provided to aid in your recovery. I personally purchased an extra body compression FAHA so I didn't have to wait to wash and dry one. I definitely recommend this! Especially if you have the full abdomen, back bra rolls and power BBL. First two days for me were a bit rough. Mostly because I was by myself plus I'm a wuss. Stuck with meds and Ibuprofen and was finally able to shower after 48-hours! I took off my compression garments and I WAS ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE!!! Yes, swelling and bruising aside, I cried and was excited at the same time! I'm on day 6 of my recovery and am extremely happy that I made the investment in myself! I was looking forward to my appointment till I get the call from her scheduling team, Paulina regarding the need to reschedule the next day. Not a problem as I didn't take 1/2 day off or anything. Note her location is within Genesis Integrated Medicine (same suite), as soon as you walk in, you can check-in on your right, Ari's room is on your left. Plenty of parking although all the covered parking are reserved. :( It's a rectangular room, sink and other equipment are on one end, it looks like the room is divided with a huge curtain (not sure what's on the other end but nobody was there at the time) Ari will do a quick chat with you to see if there's any problem areas you want her to focus on which is a nice touch. Once I made myself comfortable, I got on the massage table and first thing I immediately noticed is how comfy it is! I mean, I feel like I'm floating via the clouds.. one can really take a good nap here. The draping are also nice and fuzzy, the room is kept cool so it's just right. As for Ari's massage techniques, there's a few I've never even tried. 1st up is the massage gun, yes believe it or not I've never tried this, I'm a bit surprised on the amount of pressure comes out. 2nd is cupping, never had this done before, it feels a bit strange at first, and initially you'll definitely feel the pain but that eases shortly after. The suction noise reminds me someone kissing and a giant goldfish just took a bite out of me and won't let go! Also note once you did your first cupping, you'll notice those marks (I had about 6-7 cups on each side. It's not visible as long as you wear short sleeve shirts but definitely wouldn't want to hit up the pool looking like this. :) Also note the marks will eventually go away after 8-9 days. There's a bit of stretching but not a lot (compared to the Thai combo massage I normally get, and definitely no back walking) Overall I really enjoyed the massage. I would definitely do more time if I can on my next visit. And as for cupping. I'll skip it as it wasn't my cup of tea. But I had to try it once. Payment was easy as she can use the existing credit card when I booked the appointment. Note there's no extra charge for credit card transaction and you leave a tip all in one go.
