I ordered a pair of sneakers on February 19th and this has been one of the worst online buying experiences I've had. The tracking never moved, and when I contacted the company they couldn't even confirm whether the package was actually shipped or ever picked up by the carrier. Instead of taking responsibility, they immediately blamed the post office and said the package was lost. However, the post office advised me to verify if the seller had physically mailed the item at all -- something the company was unable to prove. It seems like a shipping label may have been created without the item ever being handed over. No clear answers, no proof of shipment, and no real effort to resolve the issue. Customers shouldn't have to do the investigation themselves after paying for an order. Very disappointing experience and I would be cautious ordering from them. read more

I really enjoyed shopping here when I was in town in August of 2025 for a convention. The staff was very friendly and welcoming but not pushy in the least and the atmosphere is great--classy, fun, but not trying to hard like some sneaker boutiques. However, none of that matters if the selection of product doesn't pan out but here it does: they have a great selection of recent sneaker releases and clothing, too. I bought a pair of camo mesh shorts by their own Politics label which are well-made and hype. Their location in the French Quarter is also superb. I highly recommend checking them out. read more

I shopped online and purchased a pair of shoes and once they arrived they were too small. I paid $15 in shipping which then I had to send the shoes back and did not get my shipping $ back, but instead they charged me a $14 admin fee to ship the shoes back? I lost $29. Additionally because they do not do any refunds I now reordered the shoes in the correct size (because I have a store credit) but paying yet another $15 in shipping. How incredibly annoying that this store doesn't pick up the phone or have a human answering their chat. I was about to drop $200-400 for shoes, but only if I know they're in the store. Really impressed with the service here. I was in town from Chicago, checking out their selection. Found a great pair for a good price...but I had no room in my bag to get them home. They worked with me to see how much it'd be to ship them home, and when we saw what it would cost, the suggested we check out the shipping on the website. Sure enough, it was cheaper. I went back to my hotel, ordered the shoes, and they were at my front door less than a week later. Great experience, gave them a follow on Instagram, and will definitely be buying more from them! read more

Customer service responded right away and told me they would include the information. I received the sneakers in a few days and was really happy with them. RUN, Dont walk, away from this store. ZERO customer service. BEWARE: They DONOT give refunds and they charge you a 15% handling fee. You also pay freight in both directions and on the replacement pair. And while you are waiting for your return/credit to be processed, they sell out of your size. I purchased Saucony Shadow size 8.5 on November 5th. These sneakers ran a full size large and it was not stated on their website. They never answered my 3 e-mails, my 3 phone calls or the chat desk. Really cool atmosphere unlike some boutiques where you are not offered the best customer service. However at Politics, the staff were really cool and engaging. I went in with intention to get some new kicks; they had my size and I was out within a few minutes. Since I was out of town the the store associate gave me the inside deets on where to go and visit while I was in town. One of my first reviews that isn't about food! Seriously, where do I start? Sneakerheads and nonsneakerheads alike come together at this place to really enjoy some great vibes this place gives. This place has a GREAT selection of sneakers to buy that isn't normally at your malls. If you need some neck breakers, this is your place to go! Living in New Orleans my entire life, I've always appreciated a place like Politics! They seriously do care about the locals around here ! This place has all the limited sneaker releases as well as some pretty cool shirts, shorts, jerseys, and more to keep up with the trends. The staff here are VERY nice and do cater to what you need. They do Sunday events once every month to help give locals a chance to cop the most coveted sneakers of the month. I was able to see some pairs in person that I had previously only seen online, which helped me decide which ones to buy. SP is your New Orleans sneaker boutique where you can find limited/rare shoes for sale during a release, but is often released via raffle system. They are often pretty busy during shoe releases, so the store can be pretty packed which can hold a little over 100 people. You can also find newly releases shoes for purchase there other than special releases. They often host mini parties for special releases where it can be a little hectic, but entertaining. SP is one of the few stores in the city where you can get almost all special release shoes during a release like yeezy boosts and many jordan brand items, but like I said before, it would be through a raffle system, so you'd have to be lucky. Sometimes, I find and witness some of the workers favor their friends to help receive a special release which makes it difficult to win. Other than that, decent store for what it's worth and a good location in the heart of downtown. read more

Sales clerks were either stoned or lazy as hell. My 13 year could run circles around these guys and sell merchandise. We would have spent $$$$, but they wouldn't give us the time of day. Besides us being the only people in the store...they could barely talk to us about the products, sizes , or what they had in stock. I'd ask a question...they would disappear in the back and then return...start folding T-shirts or surfing the net. After several minutes of us staring at them...Me: "Hey guys ..so what's up ...did you find the shoe we wanted?" Clerk: "Oh yay...we couldn't find it...". Seriously. My 13 year old took over and started pulling shoes, lacing them and helping his uncle try sneakers on while educating him on the products.
