For the gym itself, it's simple, clean, and in an easily accessible area with plenty of parking. There is plenty of scheduling at both locations (Brandon and Lakeland) with Fabio being the actual instructor for each class and if he isn't, it specifies on his website. The pricing is the cheapest out of all other gyms I have seen and there is no contract. Fabio is incredibly understanding that life gets hard and if you need to take a break or anything else you can always cancel your membership and renew it when you're back. Under no other mentor or coach have I ever seen such a respectful and appreciative community for each other. Every time you show up to a class people welcome you in whether it is your first time there, or your first time back after you took a break. Fabio has changed so many peoples lives, including my own, through what he teaches and the way that he does it.

Fabio won't even do contracts. You pay month-to-month, If you need to quit, take a break, whatever you just call, and they do it over the phone. It's just him and his wife running the school. I started this adventure with a simple Google search, and this was one first selections on the…read morelist. Plus it happens to be right next door to an Anytime Fitness. I tried calling at first but there was no answer, so I went to their website and partially filled out the information request. After their last class concluded, I received a text message from Chuck. The message was very professional, polite, and informative. I had a brief conversation via text about what I was looking. Instead of trying to push a quick sale, Chuck took the time to see what MY schedule looked like and showed me sessions that would fit what I was looking for as well as my schedule. I decided I would give it a shot. They offer one "Free" session for you to try it out and several different packages to meet a wide range of price points. I arrived at the gym about 15 mins before the start of the 7pm session. I wanted to watch a little bit of the interactions and sign any waivers that were needed. Chuck was teaching and still took the time for a quick greeting, before continuing with his session. As the class concluded, I was able to get the paperwork filled out and was provided a loaner gi. I explained that I had zero knowledge of the sport. That didn't faze Chuck or the rest of the class at all. Everyone was friendly, laidback, and took the time to help me not just learn the steps but understand why they were there. There wasn't a moment throughout the entire experience that I was bored or wasn't laughing. By the end of the session, I was ready to sign up. It's very spacious it has two mat areas and a a smaller third in the back that i would love if the third one had punching bags, it has showers, and a spacious bathroom, its also very clean this dojo to me is a hidden gem. The one in charge of the Carrolwood Dojo Professor Rodrigo he very into his students and i was surprised by his humbleness and simplicity, he was very thoughtful and on hands which surprised me since i am a lowly White belt the norm in 90% of martial arts at least in my experience the Master stays the distance and his advanced students teach or the master explains a few times and then watches, but this master did the opposite, much respect to him. To me it makes no sense that the Gym next door people pay to run outside the gym to lose weight... why not take BJJ you lose weight, create muscle and can defend oneself, each to his own i guest. I love the location, its very serene and calm a this just needs a bit more promo or a sign and i think it will get more students.
