My daughter's first ever salon visit was with Rose New Image Beauty Salon and I explained to her over and over again that my daughter's hair was not really all that coarse and would not require extreme heat. When I picked her up, her hair was so thin and had the smell of chemicals. This was in in April. When I first shampooed her hair, expecting her natural hair pattern to come back, all I saw was stringy straight hair that smelled like a perm bein rinsed out with neutralizing shampoo. I don't know what in the world she did to my baby hair but I think she did it on purpose. She's been in business for years and supposedly one of the best in Talladega, but my daughter's hair is a mess! When I called Rose, she said "Just keep adding conditioner." And when I asked if this has happened to any of her other clients hair, she said yes! Then she told me that I could come by the shop and buy some shampoo and conditioner to use at 15 dollars each! Really?. Didn't even ask to see the condition of my daughter's hair at all! 80 dollars spent to have her head jacked up! I didn't want a refund, I needed instructions on what to do to get her natural hair pattern back! Yesterday, I called again. Here it is June and my daughter's hair is still mostly straight! I was told that Rose is out due to surgery. I spoke to her sister and asked if I could send her pictures, so she could give me instructions. She said yes. I sent the pictures and haven't heard anything. It's not her sister's work but she DOES represent the salon. So, since y'all care nothing about yall's image...here it goes! If you are natural. (My daughter never had a silk press in her life!), DO NOT LET ROSE do your hair! Other's may boast of her good work but it must be her usual customers. She knew this was for a one time event, so she didn't give a darn! I held this in for as long as I could, but she used too much heat on my baby's hair and lied and said that she didn't! Since yall didn't care about my baby's image, I don't care about yalls! Never Again! Beware and Please Share! And I want to issue an apology to young stylists. I didn't consult yall because I thought "Older Women" had the expertise! Apparently some of them know NOTHING!
