They took her into another room to insert a stent in her arm and then brought her back to our room. The cat was relaxed and looking at us sitting there, and it was clear that she must have known what was going to happen. The injection was done and she was immediately out. The vet took pulse and heart rates three separate times and it was certain that she was gone. Nicely done. We paid the $259.87 and left to bury the cat.

We went home to discuss and returned Monday morning with the intent to euthanize when we again discussed pros and cons. Dr. Kundla referred us to Shiland Animal Hospital in Rock Hill for surgery giving us a little more hope. We are so thankful for the referral because it changed our minds and we now have our sweet kitty recovering, doing well and hopefully have her for many years to come. The staff and Dr. Kundla could not have been kinder or more helpful. Totally recommend this practice.

Then Dr. Linfante came out and in front of other patients said how dare I bring him my sick puppy, take time out of his busy day and not pay for services. When I called the card in Monday am, they charged me additional monies because I was paying over the phone. I of course have switched vets, and when I took Toby to his first appointment, he did a lot of blood work and I was told they thought he had Cushing's disease which has just been confirmed. Toby was tested for that about 18 months ago at West Ballaynte and I was told it was negative. I think my dog has had this deadly disease for over 18 months and just warning anyone that goes there, he is not as good as you think.

Any office asking for a non refundable deposit in advance I would stear clear.

He wasn't barking, growling, or snapping, he just kept trying to tuck himself next to me. He made it very clear he was uncomfortable with their approach, and instead of adjusting the approach, the response was to suggest calming medication. Maybe I just had bad luck with the tech; I heard great things about this place. But I'll trust my boy's intuition and not put him through that again.

Sassy immediately took to Dr. Erin, and I can count less than 10 people the princess likes, so when she opened up her own practice (Charlotte Companion) we followed her. She is a really good vet. Very thorough. I'll give an example: was pretty sure the baby had another UTI but the normal tests weren't catching it. So she put the samples on a slide under a microscope and showed me yep, there was still bacteria. Got a stronger antibiotic and voila, happy & healthy kitty. The office is super nice, and all of the techs are great, especially Sam and Hatlee. Hatlee does Tatiana Taryn's fluids each week (they call her the cat whisperer). I'm really happy with the level of care (and attention to detail) my little one gets here!

It is an excellent veterinary practice for outpatient (is that right for pets?) as well as a full scale animal hospital with surgeries and overnight recovery facilities. Being active supporters in getting the Lancaster Animal Shelter ship-shape, we met Dr. Hill and her staff. Dr. Hill has volunteered to tend to the shelter once a week, maintains medications, vaccinations and treatments for us as well as administered them to sick animals. The do spay and neuter surgeries in the early mornings each Tuesday and Thursday. Her staff is wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and talented. And do they love animals! Don't be surprised when a blue scrub attired woman comes around to pet and maybe hug and carry around your pet while you are waiting to see the vet. Very genuine and caring. Dr. Hill is one of four or so vets in the Lancaster - York county area and is a net-worker among those professionals. They share in work and in problem solving and if some facility is too busy they arrange to lighten the load to accommodate customers. Great people doing great work to care for our collective animals, strays or those in your homes. Very please with Southern Paws that is in the process of building a new, larger facility with more space in Lancaster County, so stay tuned.
