I was in Everett and needed a treat, and this co-op found me just at the right time! They stock so many local and organic goods, I was impressed. I love shopping at places like this where I know that the store and the brand are both ethical and that my money is going somewhere good. I got some incredible heirloom tomatoes, and the cashier and I even discussed some fun recipes for them. Also got some local chocolate and a kombucha. I was impressed to see that they also had cool flower arrangements, plants, cards, and other things made from local creators. This is the kind of spot I LOVE to support! It is organized, has tons of variety, and I always find something new and fun. As a gluten free gal, I felt like the world was my oyster here. Since I frolic and play so much to this Co-op it is due time for an updated review! I am happy to report, fellow yelping friends, I am a proud owner of Sno-Isle Food Co-op. The perks and all the feel good feels I leave with when frequenting this establishment does the heart good. The heady smells, the yummy treats, and the self care this place brings me feeds my heart and soul- does the body wonders! I cherish places like these and want to support them in any possible way. If you are ever in the area and want to treat yourself, I can't recommend Sno-Isle enough! This store in the north end does both provide great things to the community and sell great, healthy & nourishing things. Coming up to the front, the mahogany/dark cherry exterior kind of percolates through the interior in a neat way. It feels pleasantly spacious for a small co-op. They have plenty of variety of many common healthy staples across all the usual spectrum (household, toiletries, snacks, milks, cereals, produce, bulk, etc). Love the plentiful selection of organics (side reminder: plenty of [small] farmers use organic practices but don't pay for certifications). For snacks, go for Beanfields. For prepared foods, look for Lotus Foods, King Soba, etc. I don't use a tub at home but whenever I stay in the area, I always make sure my hotel room has a tub in it so that I can use some awesome bath salts to get my cleanse on. Plenty of nearby street parking. Staff is very pleasant and laid back. read more

I go here all the time to make a quick stop for some veg items. I often get frustrated with the parking out front, since I typically just want to run in and out on my lunch break. Thankfully there are usually plenty of cashiers working which makes the in and out slightly faster. Good sales can be found at times. There are few other places in this part of snohomish county where you can get the vegan foods I purchase frequently. I also appreciate their involvement in supporting other organizations in the community. I used to go often for lunch, but go less frequently since the delicious deli was replaced by just the food case. They do still have the soups available and there is a lot of grab and go food. I hear the food is still the same, but its harder for me to see what it is and I spend too much time picking things up and reading ingredients. I do really enjoy the dolmas and the garbanzo beans. They do have a good beer selection. read more

Normally, I don't give negative reviews but I bought food here twice and both times I have been watched and stared down by the two older cashiers like they're practicing their shoplifter diversion skills on me; where you feel someone staring at you and you look that direction and they're looking at me dead in the eyes without blinking! It's too bad because their deli area and other food selection is awesome but I won't be back. I am here 2-3 times per week and love it. It's not so big that I get lost in there. I get in and out. The staff are friendly and fun. The produce is always fresh looking. Some of the prices are higher than chain grocery stores, but it's local. I'm not spending gas to go far and the food isn't coming from half way around the world. Sno-Isle Co-op is a sparkling mini oasis in Everett's sea of Safeways, QFCs, Wincos, Fred Meyers, and Grocery Outlets. I've been the member of many co-ops, and Sno-Isle is the smallest one I've ever been to. It's tiny but mighty. I appreciate how they put their money where their mouths are in support of social and local causes. This month you can round up at the register to support community organizations such at Friends of the Everett Library, animal rescues, foster families, and communities of color. I also appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the extra measures in place to protect the health of staff and visitors. They include: X marks on the floor leading to the cash register, an attendant outside the front door to monitor capacity, clean hand baskets and carts, an attendant in the bulk section (or gloves and a sign that asks shoppers to keep their distance), and plastic dividers between the cashier and those checking out. The store is small and the selection of vitamins and supplements is limited but there's still cool stuff to be found such as toiletries, incense, soap, kitchen wares, and my favorite vanilla, Singing Dog Vanilla Bean Paste. There is a selection of deli and ready-made food items (which I haven't tried yet), and several frozen food cases. We've enjoyed selecting unique brews from their walk-in beer fridge and received great suggestions from an enthusiastic produce worker. I've also called to ask questions and have always received cheerful and friendly help. One section where the Co-op shines is their selection of produce. Once we tried a head of cabbage from the Co-op we never looked back. It was sweet to the core and fresh off the farm. The young lady stocking it told us where it came from but I don't remember. What's important is that she knew! That said, we can't buy everything we normally shop for here, but we often buy at the Co-op first and then buy what we couldn't get here elsewhere. OMG!!! I just ate the BEST chicken salad sandwich EVER!!! FULL OF FLAVOR! I added avocado...and oh my! I will definitely be back! I will also grab some fresh organic produce while I here, too! The customer service is very nice...this place felt so welcoming! And again...the sandwich was the BEST! ****UPDATE: I went back a few days later, and order the same sandwich. I used to work at a co-op and I thought we knew the deal (don't get me wrong I love u George Street Co Op) but DAMN. this place is so cool, very trendy and fun with all the products I couldn't find at the other local groceries. Everyone was nice. Everyone. Seriously the guys who were stocking shelves were laughing with each other, offering to help people, such a good atmosphere. Also- the $5/ month plan to become an owner is unbeatable. They even give you a card to scan to make it more efficient for next time you come in!! Such a good experience! read more

I always enjoy coming to this happy, hippy hole-in-the-wall on the edge of downtown Everett. It's a small co-op that carries a decent variety of organic produce, bulk foods, and all kinds of veggie-friendly goodies and healthy alternatives to "normal" grocery store food. And of course you got yer eco-friendly household products, natural remedies, incense sticks, bulletin boards with community goings-on, etc. This is one of those great little bastions against corporate-industrial food and global hell-shit...50 years from now we'll all be wondering why we weren't shopping at places like this for our entire lives. Visit this place up to twice a week for fresh items including local eggs and produce. There's also good bulk/health/beauty sections. Staff is generally pleasant and helpful. They have everything you need. If I *want* obscure brands or more "processed" items I'll make an additional stop at another place. Once they were out of bananas, but that may be due to my last minute shopping timing during a holiday. read more

Why oh why do I continue to shop at his place? Because they carry TWO items I cant find anywhere else in Everett. I end up seeing some prepared food that looks good and buy it only to be terribly disappointed. Tried some enchiladas for $9 and tossed them after a few bites. Great place with a whole lot of stuff packed in tight. How I wish I could wake up in a world where Safeway on Broadway was gone and the Co-op was occupying that space. As for now, it is convenient and friendly. Sometimes pricey, sometimes absurdly overpriced, but sometimes I am surprised that I can get local, organic, pasture raised beef cheaper there than at Winco. (Don't go raising the price!) It isn't as big as the Skagit Valley Co-op, but, for what it is the co-op is great little-ish store that does a lot. read more

I cant believe it has been almost 3 years since my last review of the coop. When you think Local, Organic, Wholesome, Non GMO, you have to the think of the Coop. Still my go to place for groceries, smoothies. The Hewitt Sandwich from the deli not only pays homage to Everett, but is delicious with turkey, havarti, pesto, greens and sprouts. Im surprised to see people mention price. They have some of the best cheeses for 1/2 what you would pay elsewhere. read more

I have to admit a bias. I used to live in Bellingham, and when I think Co-op, I think of the one there. That Co-op is huge, and really works with you on everything. My first impression is that it's very much like any small co-op. There is a nice produce selection, a good dairy/egg selection, and a deli. They have quite a few nice vegan treats, and a lot of gluten free stuff. Despite being small, it has a fairly decent selection. It's located in downtown Everett, and there is easy enough street parking. It's not my first choice, though. The prices are very high. I'm on a very limited budget, and when the milk I want is $2 more a gallon then the Bellingham Co-op or a Seattle PCC, then I have to look elsewhere. I just can't afford dairy or eggs there. I do have a Co-op card from Bellingham, and I considered purchasing a membership at Sno-Isle. However, while I've been considering, I could never get a straight answer from the cashiers on if they support reciprocity between co-ops. They all tell me they do, but unlike the PCC or the Bellingham Co-op, there's no lowering of prices for members of other co-ops it seems. Often my cashier just looks at my card, and just waves it away and ignores it. For the last year, I really only go there for things I can't find elsewhere, despite really wanting to support a small local business. Despite loving the whole co-op thing in Seattle and Bellingham. I really wanted to love this one. I just don't have enough money to afford to. read more

This was a pretty cool store. They had all sorts of really cool natural hippie like stuff in here. I purchased my favorite flavor of kombucha here, and noticed they sell a couple other brands of kombucha I have never heard of or tried, so for that factor alone, I will be back. There was also a really substantial bulk foods section, as well as a decent amount of produce. Also, a small deli counter. Our purchase was minimal- a couple beers, a kombucha, a clif bar, a Blue Sky brand energy drink, and a Greek Gods fig flavor greek yogurt. Prices on items were along the lines of the major larger competing chains. I was tempted by some salmon jerky- alas, no price tag, some goats milk yogurt which I will definately have to try, and a bar of delicious looking chamomile and honey white chocolate. Next time! I will have to ding them one star, they didn't double bag our heavy bottles and on the way back to the apartment, the bag busted and one of our beers broke. We shoulda asked for the double bag I suppose. read more

This is a great, quirky little co-op in my soon-to-be hometown. Where PCC and Whole Foods are slick and somewhat chic, Sno-Isle has much more of a grass-roots feel, with lo-fi touches like hand-lettered signs and a hippie-core staff. They've got a good deli, great bulk selection, and (when the freezer isn't broken like it was this last week) a good frozen section for all the necessities - like soy cream. read more

First time here today. Stopped by their deli for some fresh juice. Looks like they have some great smoothies and sandwiches as well there. I perused the store after I got my juice. I have to disclose that I am writing from the perspective of someone that has Celiac Disease, and must eat gluten free foods. If you are in the same boat as I am, then Sno-Isle is stunning. I have been in Seattle for the last 6-7 months, and when my husband got a job in Everett, we started looking around. I had half expected the co-op and natural foods choices to be like Seattle. Seattle's co-op's are great for organic stuff, but really paltry on gluten free fair. To say that was disappointing is an understatement. So you can imagine my surprise when I go to the little Sno-Isle Co-op, and look around. The first thing I saw was an abundance of gluten free pasta. They have Tinyada, and quinoa in all sorts of shapes. I then looked in the cold case, and saw gluten free breads, and kinnikinnick brand pizza shells and products. In the baking section, there is every brand of gluten free baking mix I have ever seen. Namaste, Amy's, etc. They carry Bob's Red Mill, in abundance. When I was walking to the registers I saw an end cap with three bags of 2.75 pound oats. Usually, as a celiac, I ignore that. Then, my eyes narrowed as I saw 'gluten free' and 'elisa tested' emblazoned across. They carried Gift of Nature, Inc. brand gluten free oats. If you are not a celiac, you don't understand how frustrating it is to be able to eat oats, but have almost all the oats in America contaminated by growing in the same fields, and processed on the same machines as wheat. To say it brought me to near tears might make you believe I am insane, but just ask another celiac. They'll tell you how much that means to them. (For the record, I had oatmeal cookies with these oats last night for the first time since I got diagnosed. It was heaven.) As I looked around, I realized that someone running this co-op was either a celiac, or really listened to us. After my disappointments with the Seattle co-ops and PCC's, with their hit or miss products, I was euphoric to find everything I needed all under one roof. The prices are about what you would expect at a co-op. The co-op membership itself is somewhere around $105, with ten down, and five a month after. For me, that is reasonable. It's like the gluten free E-ticket to all my comfort foods. I doubt I can get every flavor of Bumblebar, and Lara Bars both anywhere else. The rest of the store also had good stuff in it. The produce looked good and fresh, and the bulk bins looked smartly arranged, with little cross contamination. This was just a first impression, but I can tell you that I will be hitting Sno-Isle first, for every gluten free thing I need. Whoever stocked that little store will have my undying gratitude. read more

Good selection and vegan options. The problem? They refuse to accept EBT for cold case items such as custom sandwiches, saying that this is the law. This is not true you can get custom sandwiches from places like Safeway and QFC. I have raised this issue with management at least four times and have been repeatedly ignored or told they are following the law. Until this changes I will leave this at two stars. This is discrimination of low income people. I still shop here and gave up on the custom things for now. read more

Dude. I'd never been to Everett and it's like being in another world. My friend and I didn't even feel like we were in Washington. Oregon? Maine? Certainly not the Evergreen State. The store itself is in an old building, and has a local home-town feel to it. Reminded me of many country stores and local health food stores I've been to in New England. They seem to have a good selection of everything. Things that caught my eye: the bulk section, some types of chocolate I'd never seen before, a variety of milks (and raw milk!), a cafe in the back where you can get baked goods and smoothies/juices, and a decent natural products section. This is definitely a store I wouldn't regularly frequent due to high prices, but they have some "special" products here for which I would come back occassionally. Overall, it was a fun experience and had been on my list for a while. PS: It's a lot smaller than it looks in the Yelp pictures. read more

Cacao Kapow is my dream come true. For smoothies, anyway. I have never been in this store but have ordered food via uberEATS and it's always been delicious. My favorite items are the Marine View Sandwich and the Cacao Kapow smoothie. The smoothie isn't too sweet, is healthy, rich in flavor, and very filling. It's the perfect dessert after my sandwich. Plus it gives me a little boost of energy, which I need (because food coma from stuffing my face). The Marine View sandwich is a high quality sandwich, from the bread to the tuna. I have to commend Sno-Isle for partnering up with uberEATS. It's nice to know there is more than just conventional take out. Plus, Sno-Isle doesn't seem like your average store. It knows its clients really well and stays ahead of the trend. I'll continue to order through uberEATS (so please don't ever take yourself off of there, Sno-Isle, if you're reading this). It beats out all the other options anytime (for me, at least). read more

I love the "Co-op". I go here for my organic tea and spices, fruits, veggies and mushrooms. They have a good selection of local products that you can't find anywhere else. My favorites are the local organic free -ange chicken and duck eggs. The are so deliciously rich with creamy orangey yolk. Too bad they don't have a good supply in the winter because it's too cold for the chicken to lay eggs? I don't really know but for now I have to settle for the Wilcox eggs which I can get at any QFCs. Sign up for the membership which is refundable when you move. I am thankful that Everett has this Co-op (I am not a member). Sometimes the bleakness of Everett makes me yearn for my more cosmopolitan days and I need somewhere to go to lift my spirits. I've worked in natural food stores in the past so I have a fondness for the atmosphere particular to natural food stores. I like seeing the components of a variety of nutritional lifestyles surrounding me on the shelves. I am not a vegetarian and most of the clientele here might consider me something of a tourist, I just like walking around and looking at things. I always leave with an odd assortment of items, some well intentioned and others to satisfy my curiosity (one day I wanted to see what kinds of salts were available and found something interesting in the bulk spice area). I dutifully stare at the organic produce, sometimes collecting something familiar and other times (if no one is watching) just shuffle away. I usually end up by the bulk medicinal herbs and spices. For me, this is where the store shines. The aroma when you enter the store in my mind emanates from this area. I like studying the wide assortment of jars and I like the idea I can buy a small amount of anything just to try it out (rather than buying a whole bottle of something). I think I mainly come here for the experience, I recently brought my mother here and plan to make more visits with her. I think I need to be in places like this to remind me they still exist. read more

Nice little co-op. Prices seemed higher than co ops in Bellingham, Mount Vernon, or Seattle, but that probably goes with being small. I like the building and ambiance, kinda old timey country store feel. Until it closed I really liked going down the back stairs to the little Asian market in the basement. One gets the feeling of being able to find something remarkable down a secret hallway here. Bottom line: If I was local I'd shop here. read more
