Summit Inn - No outlets anywhere near where you need them. Gross and dated fixtures and furniture. Dirty carpet.

Awful. Writing this review while at this establishment. We requested and paid for a pet room. We…read morewere put in a room on the ground floor near an exit - great, except you can't use the exit. You have to walk a quarter mile back to the lobby to let your dog out through the lobby in the middle of the night (or anytime your dog needs walked). This makes absolutely no sense. We arrived for our stay on a Sunday night. Just a couple of cars in the lot. Entered, rang the bell, greeted by one guy from the restaurant who told us someone would be out to check us in in 2 or 3 minutes. Someone came pretty quickly but it took him sooo long to tap tap tap on 2 different computers to get us checked in. Took 10 minutes to get our key, which was presented in dirty, previously used envelope with other numbers scribbled out. We were very thankful there wasn't a line at checkin. Oddly enough, after going to our truck to get our things and reentering, the desk clerk was scurrying down the hall in front of us, keyed into a room briefly, then came back down the hall toward us. We realized he had gone into our room then exited. Not sure why, but unsettling. Again, this is a dead Sunday night and we made the reservation 3 days ago... For $170 on a Sunday night ($129, plus pet fee $25 plus tax) we feel scammed paying this amount for this rundown place. The hotel is in need of lots of TLC. The bathroom sink hot water doesn't work. We're still waiting for the room to warm up. My husband shoved the bath mat and a towel in the big gap that the taped up, makeshift window/floor A/C unit going out the window creates. Take away - if you don't need to stay at the summit, don't stay here. It's gross, unkempt, and unloved. Edit - it's morning and our room never got warm. The heat doesn't work. We ate at Commonwealth across the street. Great food and service.

Despite all these reviews we booked at the Summit Inn for the 4th of July because we waited until…read morethe last minute and this was the cheapest room. Our room was clean, the staff were extremely nice! It's truly not a very *nice* motel but I didn't feel gross and the amenities were about what I expected! Probably over priced but you're paying for the location? There were many broken down trucks outside our room's window and we almost adopted this little white fluffy dog that I think lives in the parking lot? He would not let us touch him, but we named him Concrete. We had pancakes for dinner at the diner, it was pretty good! But we do really like greasy spoon diners. Then went across the street to Dru Bru and had probably the best pretzel of my life and a beer before trying out the hot tub. Sauna was broken :( but hot tub was kinda cool. As in it was probably 2-3 degrees too chilly but big and tiled and interesting? We soaked twice during our stay! The place definitely has character, but it's not as bad (in my personal experience) as these reviews make it out to be in the slightest. We got gas station snacks and watched HGTV and went to bed early like adults it was lovely. 10/10 has Twin Peaks Energy and everyone needs to take themselves less seriously I think. There's espresso next door and awesome hikes close by. Would recommend.

I was looking for a rental home. After touring the property I spoke with a representative who…read moreconfirmed I was the only one expressing interest, so I proceeded to submit an application and work with the credit/application specialist, Brian Seutz. Brian is not someone I would want to work with again. About an hour after I spoke with the first rep, Brian advised that there were "multiple applications" in for the property. After convincing me to still proceed with the application, he made it clear on multiple occasions that he would proceed with the better qualified applicant. This was stressed after I already spent $100+ on application, credit and pet fees, based on both representatives' recommendation. Ultimately I was rejected due to a "late" rent payment. I asked Brian to review because I had supporting documentation confirming on-time payments, but he responded with "Another applicant has already been approved". This was all in an hour??? I found the whole process to be a scam to make money off application/credit fees. Fortunately, since I met the strict requirements to rent from this company, I was able to proceed with a home purchase. Potential renters looking for long term housing, and that meet this company's rental requirements, should consider purchasing instead.
