I am a repeat customer, loooove bringing/recommending friends and family to KBOS. I'd swear I've…read morewritten a review for them...apparently not! I have nothing but aloha for the KBOS crew, and reverence for the sandbar and its residents. It's a quick ride from the pier, but they pack quite the punch in that short time. House rules, safety announcements, and LIVE MUSIC. Jesse & Revese, jam out to island classics, Radiohead, reggae, and more. You'll also get a little history lesson so pay attention! The crew...more like ohana really. Tight-knit, safety-oriented, and aloha for days. First time riding the banana boat today, with Guy & Kevin! I was a little scared at first, but knew I was in good hands and would totally do it again in a heartbeat hehehe Love this crew! Anyone can rent a boat, kayak out, but you won't get the experience like with KBOS.

These guys would get 10 stars if I could rate them that high. What an overall amazing experience…read morefor me and my family. This is an all inclusive sailing snorkeling, and lunch event with amazing staff. You can be picked up at your hotel if you are in Waikiki or drive out to the pier. Recommend you get there a little early as parking can be limited as the day gets busier. Luckily, we came on a day where it was about half the normal capacity so we had room to spread out on the ship. The staff gave a very entertaining intro and safety brief. First stop was the sandbar. They provide his struggles and beach volleyball. We opted to just snorkel around the sandbar. Such a cool feeling to be out in the middle of the ocean and standing with water only as high as your knees. After spending time there, we started our way to a coral reef, but on the way we got to see a bunch of green sea turtles swimming next to us. What a cool opportunity! Probably my favorite part was the coral reef that we visited next. The water was so clear and blue and there were so many tropical fish swimming around the reef. I even captured a sighting of a reef tip shark on my underwater camera. Don't worry, they are harmless. Captain Maka was an amazing host. He was so patient with my kid and took time to show him the ropes and let him hang out with him on the bridge as he was navigating to each spot. The crew makes lunch. They literally barbecue hamburgers on the ship as you are out having fun snorkeling. And by the time you get back on board, the food is all cooked and you get to enjoy an amazingly delicious lunch on the ship as it made it its way to the next spot. Can't say enough about this excursion. The crew makes it so amazing. We will definitely come back and do this tour again as it was so much fun.

During the experience, you get to chill at the sand bar, snorkel, and are severed a hamburger lunch which was such a great afternoon spent. Staff were all very funny and friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of good. I would definitely go back next time I'm in Hawaii!

They ensured everyone got to see turtles and in fact they headed a participant back just when we were being called back to the boat after discovering he didn't get to see turtles. There was plenty of snacks and drinks. Gears were complete - eye gear (with or without prescription which was helpful to those who wear glasses), and mouth pieces. The attention to detail was superb and attention to safety and ensuring everyone had fun was commendable!

We booked this Kaneohe Sandbar snorkeling tour after seeing many reviews describe it as…read morebeginner-friendly. As first-time snorkelers traveling with a child, our experience did not align with those expectations. Equipment distribution was poorly handled. Masks were handed out with little to no instruction, and basic questions were met with a rude and dismissive attitude. Overall communication and service were lacking. Once in the water, guidance was minimal and inconsistent. The experience felt rushed and disorganized, with limited support for guests who were new to snorkeling. The tone and treatment we received also made us uncomfortable as Asian guests. After sharing feedback, the company clarified in writing that they do NOT advertise or position this as a beginner-friendly snorkeling tour. Based on both that clarification and our experience, I would strongly recommend that beginners or families looking for clear instruction and attentive guidance consider other operators. Sharing this to help future guests set accurate expectations before booking.
